Hey everyone!

Welcome to the Jake Barrena show. So I'm really excited because this is something that I have been working on for at least the last six months. I've just been limited on time, if not the last several years. Last several years I've had people tell me, hey, start a podcast, start a podcast. Why? I don't know, just start a podcast. So I figured I should do that eventually. It's just like anyone else, I came up with the excuse that I'm.

I'm limited on my time. And that might be the case because I'm right now at school going to pursue my doctorate. I'm at the beginning stages. It can take me forever to get it done, but I'm working at that. I run two companies. I've been married for almost 17 years, been with my bride for nearly 20 years. I have two kids, which take a lot of my time in the best of ways. And I have other things that I do. I'm physically fit, as in I work out every single day and there's all these things that are going on in my life.

Which have led to the place where I have excuses. And these excuses have led me to say, I don't have the time, but you know what? I'm actually gonna do it now. I'm actually starting this podcast. I'm really excited. This is meant to be a little intro to let you know exactly what it's about. So it's really about authentic, genuine discussions with no script, no editing. It's let's get people on the show where we can have intriguing discussions.

If you know me, you know my brand, then you know that I'm a man of faith. But this show is not about my faith or faith in general. Will we have faith discussions? Yeah, we're going to have faith discussions. But this show is going to be about getting people on the show that sometimes might oppose my opinion. And I love that. I just want to get people that are genuine, that are honest about who they are and transparent about who they are, because that's what I believe I am. Am I perfect? Far from perfect.

But I do want this show to be candid. I want it to be raw, I want it to be real, and I want it to be unedited. I want it to be a genuine show where you can go to and you can learn that you can be entertained, that you can maybe extract information that you didn't know about an individual that I'm gonna have on this show. And I have...

A few people that I have already filmed episodes with, which I'm so excited about these individuals, which you'll find out about. So several episodes have been filmed, as well as other guest stars who are gonna come. And some of these are everyday average ordinary people, when in fact, I believe no one is average. Even the person working down the street at Target, at Stater Brothers, they're not average, they're exceptional. God created them for a reason.

And that reason is beautiful. So I'm going to have those people on the show to everyone in between, all the way down to celebrities and stars. I'm not trying to put them in a category to say they're special because they're just people that are publicly known. But I want those people and I want those people, want everyone in between to be on the show so that we can have genuine discussions. And I'm going to be myself, which if you know me, you know that I'm goofy and I'm crazy.

And I have a lot of interesting traits. So I'm gonna expose that if you don't already know that. So I hope that you participate in the show and listen to episodes because I'm gonna put my heart into it. And they're gonna be genuine and they're gonna be real and they're gonna be authentic.
