Episode 41 - Speaking the truth in love

Have you ever heard the saying, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me"? While it may sound tough, the truth is that words have incredible power. In fact, Scripture tells us that our tongues can bring either death or life (Proverbs 18:21).

In a world where positive thinking is often championed as the key to success, we must remember that only God's words have the power to create something out of nothing. Our words can create a sub-reality, a false world we believe to be true until the truth is revealed.

As followers of Christ, we are called to speak truth and love (Ephesians 4:15). Truth without love is harsh, and love without truth is hollow. But when truth and love come together, growth, healing, and unity happen.

Today, let's bring our words to the Lord and ask Him to make our truth gracious and our love courageous. Let's commit to speaking truth gently, correcting graciously, confronting carefully, and encouraging consistently.
