Genevieve :

Hi friends, welcome to Hidden Chapters. I'm Genevieve. I'm really glad you're here. Whether this is your first time listening or you've been around for a while, thank you for being in this space with me. I wanted to share a short episode before season three officially kicks off next Friday. This is a small pause before we step into new conversations and reconnect. This season feels a little different to me, not in a big dramatic way, just more aware. I feel a little more comfortable in this space now, more settled into listening, and more trusting of the process. I'm still grounding myself in the truth that this podcast matters, that these conversations bring real value, and that holding space for people's stories is meaningful, even when it does feel slow or unseen. This season also feels more laid out than I've ever done before. For the first time, I have a full lineup of guests before the season even begins, and it's been exciting to see how these conversations are shaping up. I've also connected with new people through PodMatch.com, which has been such a gift, hearing from potential guests who are genuinely interested in sharing their stories. Even with all that planning, it doesn't feel rigid or forced. It's definitely not perfect, and I don't have it all figured out, but it does feel more intentional, more prepared, while still leaving room for the stories to unfold naturally. Hidden Chapters has always been about the stories we don't see right away. The quiet chapters, the ones behind the smiles, the parts of life people rarely share, but that can stop you in your tracks when you finally hear them. The stories that can be surprising, inspiring, or make you see someone or even yourself differently. That definitely hasn't changed. And that's really what this season continues to be. Season three isn't about perfect endings. It's not about finding lessons or wrapping things up neatly. It's really just sitting with someone's story, listening, being present, letting it be a little bit messy and a little unfinished. Some of the conversations might feel light, some might hit really hard. And some might stick with you long after the episode ends. And that's totally okay. The season three includes conversations with people who have trusted me with the parts of their story that don't always get shared. Each conversation unfolds differently, and each story has its own pace. And I'm so deeply grateful for the honesty that shows up here. They aren't performances, they're conversations. Our first guest this season is my friend Alex. I won't say too much because I want you to experience the conversation the way it unfolded for me. But I will say this: it's thoughtful, it's honest, and it holds a lot of quiet depth. It's a meaningful way to begin the season. If you've stepped away from this podcast for a bit, this is your invitation back. If you've been here from the beginning, thank you for staying. And if you're walking through your own hidden chapter right now, you're not alone here. Season three begins next Friday, January 30th, 2026. I hope you'll listen. Maybe share an episode with someone who might need it, or just get the chance to sit with a story and let it meet you where you are. And if you want a little extra space to reflect or even connect with me, I'm slowly building a community in Substack. You can read a few thoughts I share each week, reply, or just sit with a story, whatever feels right. And it's also a home to other parts of life, not just the podcast. So thank you again for being part of this space. I'll be back to kick things off with Alex next Friday.
