Badass Women of America
This podcast is about the women in history who broke barriers and made history yet you probably have never heard of them. Join us each week for a new episode about a woman or women who fought in wars, were amazing explorers, were pioneers in aviation – women who weren’t in our history books. These were exciting, brave, adventurous women who helped shaped this country. Join me, Kit and my friend Sherlock, as we share the exciting stories of these women whom you will want to know. These are the Badass Women of America.

Cowgirls of the Wild West
What is a cowgirl? Ranch hand, ranch owner, Wild West performer, rodeo competitor, horse trainer, stagecoach driver, outlaw, cattle rustler - so many definitions. But the ultimate definition is that a cowgirl is determined and fiercely independent.
In this episode we cover three different kinds of cowgirls.
Jo Monahan - socialite debutant turned bronco buster and cattle rancher.
Lillian Smith - trick shooter and trick rider who could outshoot anyone and rival to Annie Oakley.
Fox Hastings - bulldogging champion of her time who some say committed suicide but we think she may have been murdered. Who shoots themselves in the stomach when committing suicide and then shoots herself in the head? Never investigated. What really happened to Fox Hastings?
Join Kit and Sherlock as they talk about these extraordinary women of the Wild West.
