- Detective Sergeant Marie Owens hired in Chicago in 1889.
- Detective Lola Baldwin hired in Portland, Oregon in 1908.
- US Deputy Marshal F.M. Miller appointed in 1891 to the most dangerous territory in the United States.
- US Deputy Marshal Ada Curnutt appointed to Oklahoma Indian Territory in 1889.
