The American Plan - A Horrendous Law Against Women

In 1918 the government decided that the surge of STDs is America was the fault of women so, they passed a law that allowed the police and health officials to randomly arrest women if it was "suspected" that they had an STD. This law was called The American Plan.
It's not known exactly how many women were rounded up and incarcerated without due process because mysteriously all the records regarding this atrocious law were destroyed but it's believed to be hundreds of thousands over decades.
This episode discusses details about the erosion of women's constitutional rights under the power of The American Plan including invasive pelvic exams given without consent. This episode contains information that may not be suitable for children.
