The Cancer Cipher, Sharon Speaks
The Cancer Cipher is a term I started to use once I was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic breast cancer spread to my bones because it was difficult to understand all of the information concerning my diagnoses. I felt overwhelmed, stressed, and on emotional overload trying to understand all of the aspects of my cancer diagnosis. Therefore, my goal and mission with this Podcast are to help and encourage people as we all navigate through this cancer journey by:
* Helping people by providing insights on living with breast cancer through personal stories and experiences
* Discuss breast cancer basics and advanced knowledge
* Preventative health and life strategies while understanding medical treatments
* Explore and decipher aspects of what the Cancer Cipher means
The Cancer Cipher, Sharon Speaks
Season 2, Episode 3, Experiencing a Double Mastectomy
In this episode of the Cancer Cipher Sharon Speaks podcast, Sharon has a special guest joining her, named LaLa. She is one of Sharon’s very close friends, but she did not want to be on camera while sharing her story. LaLa was diagnosed with stage two b, ER/PR+, her two negative invasive lobular carcinoma in situ after four biopsies, a lumpectomy, and the removal of two cancer-affected lymph nodes. LaLa explains why she decided to have a double mastectomy due to her cancer diagnosis. Sharon is grateful that her close friend is doing as well as can be, especially after her surgeries, and is trying to move on with her life while encouraging other women about cancer.
