Emergency Pod: Terry McLaurin requests a trade!
An impromptu Friday emergency podcast following the news that Terry McLaurin has formally requested a trade from the Commanders. Lee jumps on early doors from Chicago to chat with Josh and then in the second half James gives his thoughts.
@HailOnThreePod
Hello? Yeah, I was in the office already late last night.
Daniels quick side. Get it out. MCC Breakthrough, Terry mcc. Mcc, it's gonna win. Touchdown Washington.
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:Welcome to this special emergency podcast edition of the Hair on Free Pod. My name is Josh, coming to you from Southeast London. You just heard one of my favorite highlights of last year. Terry McCluen scoring a touchdown in Detroit on a wide receiver screen. Epitomizing everything. That is great about Terry. His, uh, strength after the catch ability. Big playability in a big spot. And we are talking about Terry McClaren today because of the news that dropped for me overnight, that he has requested a trade. I'm joined by Lee, who is day to join us before his working day. Thank you very much, Lee. Um, you, I'm assuming, heard this news in real time last night stateside.
ledders_1_08-01-2025_082421:Yeah, I did. Emergency pod is right. We've somehow managed to try and stitch, uh, this together on a bit of a, um, crazy timeframe. But yeah, I was, um, working rather late in the office and it was about 6 45 central time and. Suddenly my phone started kind of lighting up like a Christmas tree next to my desk and we'd all been following actually some rather exciting potential transfer news for our, um, EFL football team, which starts next week. So I was wondering, maybe that's it. But then I was like, well, it's nearly 1:00 AM in the uk so I don't think that's it. And uh, yeah, there it was about five people at the same time had sent through a screenshot of the Shefter tweets. That was the breaking news that Terry had officially requested. A trade and yeah, just hearing that clip there, um, remembering seeing that live on that very famous Saturday night. It just it home how serious the situation really is now.
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:Yeah, I, I, I woke up to the news, um, again, similar to you in the sense of various messages and group chats and people asking my opinion, and we've obviously talked about Terry and this saga as it's. Dragged on in the off season in all of our episodes. So I think people, other people, not even skins fans, are kind of invested at this point, uh, which is interesting. Um, yeah. What was your initial reaction to it and um, after mulling it overnight of sleep, what do you feel now?
ledders_1_08-01-2025_082421:Yeah, I mean, for me. I didn't, I'll be honest, I didn't think it would get to this, to this stage. Um, I don't think anyone really did. Um, so my initial reaction was it is a big deal. Like I do think it's a, um, trade request on the business, money, financial side completely. He's obviously pissed off with the team, but you know, you do get trade requests. Um. If you're a good player, and it's just been a miserable four or five years, which kind of was his case until Daniels came in. But this is, is a negotiating tactic in my opinion, but it is a big deal. Like this is his, um, his last big, you know, play really to the team. This is his last thing he can do outside of holdout games, which. Would be ridiculously expensive. I think it's nearly a million dollars a game, say this is about as far as he can go without doing the final step of actually just not playing, which is a very rare, um, tactic. I think be done it, didn't he, the, the running back at one point, but it's, yeah, it's just, um, it shows how far they are apart and it shows that it is, the relationship has soured, which no way to sugarcoat it. It's, it's not good news.
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:Yeah, I'm, I'm on the same page as you in terms of my reaction. Um, it's interesting how it came out. I mean, uh, I did see a, a report yesterday by Diana Rossini who said. That teams had inquired about a trade over the last couple of months. So I think teams just kind of taking a bit of a pot shot, pot shot or testing the waters in terms of whether or not we would consider trading him. Um, and all been told no. Um, obviously now maybe certain general managers ears have pricked up again'cause he's formally requested the trade. Um, I wanted to ask you specifically whether or not, or or what you think the percentage chances are that he actually. Would get traded and whether we would trade him, him having asked for it.
ledders_1_08-01-2025_082421:Like 10%, but lower, maybe even 5%. I
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:Mm.
ledders_1_08-01-2025_082421:see there's much, um, upside to the commanders trading him for multiple factors. The main one being that once you him to, a suit, that team is gonna have to, to pay the extension. Right.
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:Yeah.
ledders_1_08-01-2025_082421:they're willing to pay money that Washington isn't, as in. Um, top five of the position, 35 million or whatever he is asking for
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:Hmm.
ledders_1_08-01-2025_082421:that dilutes the trade value. Um, and the thing to remember, he is under contract
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:Yeah.
ledders_1_08-01-2025_082421:if you want to tag him the following season, I think that would still be under 30 million. Then it goes up massively. But at that point it's fair too. So Washington do have a lot of the financial leverage. Um, Terry obviously has the impact. Um. Uh, the kind of the emotional leverage if you want to the team, but I, yeah, I just, I don't see the, there's no, there'd be no need for Washington the trade, and we are in the win this season, um, mode, obviously after last year and the drop off as we've discussed to the next wide receiver. Um, I mean, as we say, we don't even know if we have a true number two. We have a obviously, um. Different types of receivers and we have Debo, et cetera, but we don't, there's just, there's no one comparable. There's no one we can go and get in August that's gonna
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:No.
ledders_1_08-01-2025_082421:near the level of play. So that's his leverage. But he's a, he's a Washington commander, and there's not a lot he can do about that apart
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:No.
ledders_1_08-01-2025_082421:play at all. And I just don't see that finish your career like that. Right. In my opinion, the fact that he's kind of turned up to camp, signed all graphs. Wearing the gear, but kind of turned up with his agent. It's just all, it's all a bit of a tactic. Um, I'm not sure he is handled it brilliantly personally, but I don't, I, I still think a deal gets done ultimately, and I just don't see, that Washington would ever entertain a trade unless someone comes in and absolutely blows him away. But what does that even look like? Um, for you? What do you think if someone legit put an offer, what would that even look like? And someone who's gonna be 30 this year, maybe like a mid round first or something, and just that on its own. I,
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:Yeah, it's really hard to quantify for the reason that you said that like that team that trades for Terry in this scenario has the same problem as us, that they then have to extend him and pay him the money he wants, and at the same time they have to give up draft capital. I can't really see a scenario where. Many teams would be willing to do that and part with anything. Higher than a second probably. I don't know that it's really tough to that, that, that's really tough to kinda work out trade value in that scenario. A, a player swap, I mean, we talked about Santana Moss, Coles, I know that's different players, but like a wide receiver swap and, and some sort of thing there. I don't know. We, we can't afford to, to not have him on the field to be as. Anywhere near as successful as last year. So that's the leverage that you kind of mentioned from Terry's side, but you're right about the financial leverage from our side and him being under contract. I still think it gets done. Um, be interested to see what James thinks he's gonna jump on for the second part of this pod. And me and him are gonna have a bit of a chat about what he thinks about all this. I wanted to ask you though about, um. How this might change the dynamic, um, between Terry and the team Terry and the fans. Do you think this has much of an impact or do you think it has to really drag on on him, you know, not play games for it to really matter?
ledders_1_08-01-2025_082421:Um, I think if he ultimately signs, um, a number we've all kind of talked about for the last four months at this point, then it'll be forgotten quite quickly. Um, I don't love the fact that we either have to go almost like on the team side or Terry's side. Um. just kind of, I don't really buy that we need to do that. I think from my understanding, the money that he is asking for, um, I did say this on the, on the podcast months ago. I said the only way this doesn't get done is if he is asking for like top five, um, like Lamar Chase, kind of Justin Jefferson money. And it, it seems like he basically is, if he's asking for more than dk. So, um, I don't, I, I'm. I don't wanna side with the team per se, but I wouldn't be offering'em$35 million a year either. Um, but if they're like way under 30 million, then I'm, I'm not happy that that's what the offer is, either say, I don't know where this middle ground is gonna come in, but it has to, at some point, you'd, you'd, you'd assume because$30 million or even$28 million is a huge pay rise for him from where he is at now in a settled situation. I do think we have to get to the 30. We've said that kind of all spring, but yeah, now we're into August. Literally today, aren't we? It's kind of, it is a scary position. They're so far apart and it just doesn't really make sense for an, if you're an outsider looking at this, it's like, what, is, what is going on here? We've literally, uh, won 12 games. Uh, we got to the NFC championship game for the first time since 91, it's like. It just doesn't make sense. We now have decent ownership. We now have the quarterback and just get it done. But maybe his agent has gotten his head a little bit and is like kind of emphasizing all those points and saying you've gotta ask for top of the market. That's all I can can think of really. I.
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:Yeah, that's the only thing I can think of as well. I mean, unless we are missing something in terms of it's actually a problem around. Guaranteed money or signing bonus or some, something a bit more intricate within the deal? I'm not, I'm not sure. Like, but I, I usually it tends to be, no, this is, it's the year yearly value. Right. And, and that, I think age is the key thing. Reini said it's, it's an age thing from Adam Peter's perspective. Um, and do we wanna give that much money? It's quite rare that. Receivers get that much money at that age regardless of ability. So an interesting one, um, I did see a good tweet from Shefter actually, where he mentioned about how the last three receivers to kind of. Do this or attempt this, um, ask for a trade because they haven't got the contract they wanted. Were t Higgins, Debo Samuel and Brandon Auk, and none of them were trade traded in that year that they asked for it. Right? So it's, it's also rare that this request happens and it actually goes through as a trade. Um, however, some of those guys don't end up on those teams in the future, as you've seen. So an interesting one, um, precedent wise. There's obviously too much context for it for us, right. It's really weird and kind of ironic that Terry potentially getting traded happens at our highest point when actually we fought for years with, you know, the lack of offensive play and, and just dreadful rosters and stuff. Maybe he would be traded because we're just not good enough. So ironic there, I guess.
ledders_1_08-01-2025_082421:Yeah, could. Completely. And I think it's a good point to mention that, um, even Miles Garrett was a similar situation, obviously a different position, but these trade requests are generally a financial play. Um, so, and usually when the team has the leverage, they figure out a way to. To get it done. Um, but yeah, I mean, I think back to that press conference, um, what was it, best part of a month ago now, or two, three weeks ago? Um, it was clear he is not happy. Um, so I guess this isn't completely out of the blue, but I, I just, I'm still not particularly worried that he's not gonna be playing for Washington next year. Um, maybe that's been a bit arrogant. I don't know. But I just, I just don't see from the team's perspective, the upside for us and. hopefully that just pushes the, the deal closer. But I guess it depends who blinks first here and who's stubborn or not. Um, you know, I, I don't know, I, I still think we're gonna be okay. I just, unless there is a position that they're not gonna go higher than 27 and he's not, and in his head is not gonna go lower than 32, then what happens at that point? He plays for his pissed off or holds out, I dunno. dunno.
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:Yeah, that's an unknown. I wouldn't, wouldn't want to guess at this point. I'm hoping it doesn't get to that point, obviously, like you are. Um, we shall see anything else on, on the situation, Lee, you wanted to bring up before I, uh, clip in Adam Shefter and then have a chat with James.
ledders_1_08-01-2025_082421:Yeah, I think just overall, not to panic. Um, we'll see how it plays out. I think it's significant. it's a, it's a big decision for him to do this for a team that he's loved to, to represent and the city he's loved to represent, but he's obviously got himself in mind. I actually think his age is playing against this whole situation. Um, I don't think we'll see a drop in production, particularly from last season.'cause it's just the, you know, the game shape he's in his injury history. he doesn't seem to be slowing down at all. But when you are turning to that magic 30, I think. You just know this is your last payday and he's obviously going all in to get, maximize that deal. So we'll see how it plays out. Hopefully common sense prevails. Um, but yeah, I think, I think we'll be fine still, but it's gonna be, um, a bit of a nerve, few weeks, no doubt. I also do think it's worth knowing there is still five weeks to kick off. So he has played his hand fairly early in that sense. If you don't do it like way in the off season, it's pretty much at the start of camp, isn't it? It's not mid August. So.
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:That's true.
ledders_1_08-01-2025_082421:see. Um, plenty of time to negotiate. Um, then just one last thing. I did watch, um, your, um, live podcast. Uh, I watched it late last night when I got back. Um, really enjoyed it. So it was like a an NSC East round table, um, with all the UK based fans from our divisional rivals, but well worth a watch. Did you, did you enjoy the discussions over there?
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:I did. Oh yeah. Thanks for watching. No, it was good. Um, so it's the big Blue UK and Ireland Giants podcast who, um. Shout out to Christian on Twitter, who actually, um, added us into a request by, by the Giants guys who needed, basically they needed a Commanders fan to come on and they didn't have one. Um, and saw the tweet and, and went for it. So yeah, it was really good fun. Um, good bunch of guys, some good kind of banter and chat about the upcoming season. Um, I think they were, they were, um, surprised by my confidence coming into the year, which is interesting, right? So sometimes we have a sort of echo chamber and bubble, but I know I said 15 and. Too, I think, didn't I, on our, on our, um, prediction earlier in the off season and I was pretty bullish last night as well'cause I wanted to kind of show the faith that I had in this regime and, and quarterback. But yeah, it was really good fun. And we watch it's, it was a live YouTube video session and it's on their YouTube channel. You can watch the recording back if I was interested. Some interesting points and questions raised from each of the guys, so, yeah.
ledders_1_08-01-2025_082421:Yeah. Awesome. Um, maybe we can get a couple of'em on during the season, um, before we.
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:Yeah.
ledders_1_08-01-2025_082421:play those divisional matchups. But yeah, no, nothing more from my my side. I will be, uh, logging on now to my Friday. Um, so enjoy your, um, week in the Portuguese sun.
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:Thank you.
ledders_1_08-01-2025_082421:I'll be interested to hear, um, James' comments. I'm sure when he joins you, he'll probably have his McClure in 2019 shirt on.
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:Yeah. Yeah. I reckon
ledders_1_08-01-2025_082421:player for all of us. But I guess for
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:I.
ledders_1_08-01-2025_082421:he's. know, been a fan since 2013 or say that yeah, McLaurin really is the, the pinnacle, isn't he? Um,
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:Yeah. Absolutely.
ledders_1_08-01-2025_082421:of our kind of adulthood fan fan time. So, yeah. And we'll, we would love to, to hear all your guys' thoughts as well. But yeah, we'll, um, we'll catch up soon. No doubt.
josh_1_08-01-2025_142422:Yeah. Cheers, Lee. Thanks for coming on and, uh, let's listen to Adam Shefter.
Wide receiver, Terry McClure has requested a trade out of Washington. He has not received the contract he has wanted. The two sides have not made any type of meaningful progress, and while he awaits a new deal, he's lost confidence that he can get it from Washington. And so a team that is awash in good vibes now has its first negative story, a controversy that hangs over this franchise. It's popular. Respected, talented wide receiver. Terry McClure now has asked to be traded. Now the commanders have had no interest in moving on from Terry McClure, but I know there have been other teams that have been monitoring the situation, waiting to see if the circumstances changed now that McCluren has requested a trade. We'll see if that does anything to loosen Washington's grip on him. But up until now, the commanders have had zero interest in moving on from McCluren. He's shaking it up. He's now requested a trade, Anna.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:Okay, so you've just heard Adam Scheffer's report on the fact that Terry is requesting a trade formally. I'm now joined by James Lee has left us for his day at work. I'm now joined by James during our day at work. How are you mate?
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah, good, thanks. Got a, got a break and on the plus side I didn't have to speak to Lee, so managed to avoid him on this one. Um.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:said the same thing, but I cut it out. Maybe this is our new format. I'll just do a bit of Lee break. A bit of you.
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah. Lovely. That would make life a lot less stressful.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah, for sure. Um, okay. What was your initial reaction? Did you, were you up late? Did you hear it last night, or did you see the news this morning?
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah, I wasn't, yes, I was. I was up past midnight last night. I don't really know why, but yeah. Saw, saw that come in. Um, yeah, initial reaction, I was like quite shocked just because, just seeing it actually there in writing all these official accounts. I was double checking like, um. It just suddenly felt very real. Um, but you know, after digestion it wake up in the morning. I mean, I said this to someone, I think the chance of him actually getting traded, I'd give about 1% personally. Um, this to me is a negotiation tactic. Um, it's, you know, he's never made, why would he want to leave? You know, he doesn't actually want to leave. It's just kind of, he's, it's his way of showing his frustration and how annoyed he is. And, um, unvalued, he's feeling. The way it currently is, you know, reports suggest he's being offered around 25 million. That's a slight, um, increase on his, on his current yearly, um, yearly base. I think that's slightly more than what Courtland Saturn just got. Um, and. To an extent I get where he's coming from. I think in any walk of life it's'cause some people say, oh, he is already millionaire. Well that's, I think that's irrelevant because I think he wants to feel valued. Um, I don't think it is, it is about money, but it's not, if that makes sense. So, you know, if you think you're at work, you know, imagine you're at work and you know someone's gotta pay your eyes and it's like a thousand pounds more than you or something like that. A year you'd want, you'd want the same or more.'cause you think you're doing a better job than him. You're doing the same job. Um. It's similar, really. I don't think it's necessarily like he's being greedy. I think he just wants to feel valued and appreciated for what he's done for the franchise.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah.
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:Now I, I think if they were to offer 30, I suspect to this point he would take it. Um, my prediction is a contract does get done before the season starts, but I think we've got a few more hairy. Weeks of this.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:Hmm.
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:Um, we've seen many times recently trade requests go in and then a month or two later, they suddenly got a brand new contract. Miles Garrett, most recent one, receivers has done it two receivers. The, the Niners, including DBA Samuel Brandon, AK De Higgins has done it recently. None of these players ever get traded. Um, so the only other scenario I've seen is obviously him just playing this year out. But he's not gonna wanna do that either. I don't think he's got much, many guarantees on this contract. So, and he's also not gonna wanna sit at his age, so he doesn't have a lot of leverage, although also saying that I do wanna see him get paid. So yeah, that's where I'm at on it.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:Okay, nice. You, you matched Lee in some respects and he thinks it's gonna get done before the season, but Lee had a 10% chance of a trade
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:Okay.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:you had it at 1%,
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah, 1%. I think if, if they trade in before, I just can't imagine it. Well, off the back of all this momentum, we trade our warrior receiver one on the dawn on the eve of, uh, new season starting, and then no, just, no. Everyone's waking up the crack of dawn. Um, no. Just no chance. No chance. And 1% is being generous.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah,
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:It's just, it's just, it's just not nice. I think it's just surprising, you know, if you think back in January, I think we all thought this to be done by February, March, this should be an easy one. But maybe that's, you know, what he doesn't like, people just think, you know, or the front office thinking, oh, he's a light touch, you know, he is loyal. He'll just accept whatever. So I, I, I get where he is, where he is coming from. I think it's just taken quite a few of us back, a back a bit,
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:Mm-hmm.
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:um, compared to what we were thinking probably at the start of the year, um, that's come to this.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah. Um, Lee and I didn't discuss, uh, who would be a candidate to trade for Terry, um, because we just didn't see it as that likely a thing, mainly because they'd have to give up
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:capital a player, a mix of both, and then pay Terry,
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:not, I
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:No one's,
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:seem that likely, right.
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:one's gonna do that. No one's gonna give us enough to want to, part of our wide receiver, one on a team that hopes to reach a Super Bowl this year, let's face it, and then go and pay him what he wants. It's just not gonna happen, unfortunately for him. Um, but as I say, I don't think he wants that anyway.'cause, you know, he could end up on the Tennessee Titans or something like that. Right. Um, he wa he wants to be here. Um, I think he's made that perfectly clear throughout. I think it's just like a final, what's the last thing he can do? Right. That's, that's
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah.
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:that's often the final, um, thing a player can do to try and get things going. Um.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:and he'd done it early enough as well. Like it's not, there's, there's a, it's not
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:before the, the final
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah. I thought if this was gonna happen, it might be a bit later on. Um, yeah. Um, yeah. Just surprising it's come to this, but I'm, I don't actually think he'll get traded at at all.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:the least likely scenario in my opinion. It's him being traded. The most likely is he does sign a
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:I.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:can they find common ground? And then the, the weird in betweens are the, the kind of,
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:Hmm
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:situations where he either holds out and doesn't play games, which just seems
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:hmm.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:as unlikely as being traded for me. He is not sort of the same sort of character as
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:so.
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:And I don't, and at the same time, the age does come into it. You can't be missing a year, um, what you age 30 season. And I saw some other comparisons of. Um, receivers. So the extension, right, if I'm not mistaken, would kicking when he is actually 31'cause he's already got a year left. So the extension side, so similar comparisons was Mike Evan's getting an extra two years at his age, 31 season. Worked out at just over 40 million. Um, and Tyreek Hill in his age, 30 season off the back of, you know, incredible years, got 30 million a year. Um, so that, I guess that was kind of warranted, but. I, I, I don't think I, I get where we are coming from in terms of how we're valuing this situation, but I think he obviously wants it taken into account. There's, there's more to it than, than that, and obviously they're trying to think more with head than emotion on this one, but
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:So you're kind of, I think you're the same as me, that you are neither team Terry or team Team like at this point. Like there's, you see both sides. Do you or do you lean
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:he, I, I lean towards Terry. Um, but I understand it, um, from our side, but I just think I, I, I, I don't see, we we're gonna have to pay him at some point. We're surely not gonna let him go. I know we in theory, could just let him play here, then tag him and all that sort of thing, but that's just not really the road we want to go down. I just think you know, Jane Daniels your star court. You've done everything to build around your star quarterback all summer. And now, now this is where you're getting a bit cold feet on your, your star wide receiver Jane Daniel's favorite friend on the team,
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah.
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:um, outside of potentially Larry Moon tonsil this year. But yeah, I, I am leaning his way because this, you just need to get it done. Um.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:have to get it done. Uh, the, the last point I make on it is last night I got asked a question on that round table pod about, um. What's the most significant injury outside of quarterback to the team? And I, I thought it was Terry. I asked me like, even though Kingsbury's so creative, um, and does spread the ball around so much, and we do so much, if you take Terry outta that offense, that's a huge issue for us. So I, you know, and if, if he wasn't to play because we couldn't get a contract done, that's similarly or even more annoying. So, and I think they'll get it done. I, I, I am. know it's like a broken record at this point to keep saying it, but I I do think that's gonna
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah,
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:the
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:and it was interesting'cause Miles who's been on the pod before, someone who's, you know, obviously unbiased and just outside the situation, just coming to the chat when we were talking about it this morning, saying,
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:Hmm.
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:am I missing something here? Why haven't you just paid him? Like, when you put it that way, like, yeah,
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah.
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:um, I, I get it. So I think people on the outside are pretty confused as to. What, what, what the holdup is. But, um, we've laid out, you know, we've obviously laid out over the past few weeks where the front office is coming from, but at the end of the day, we all think he deserves to get paid. And, you know, let's face it, the, the, the money's there let's, I dunno, I just think it's a bit stingy at this point.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah, show him the money.
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah,
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:cool. All right mate. Thanks for jumping on.
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:no worries.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:Um. We weren't expecting to get another little pod out before my holiday.
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:Hmm.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:um, worst case scenario is he signs on like Monday and we we're not gonna work out how we're gonna do some sort of three-way transatlantic Portugal, UK and then edit it in time. But if it does, we'll all be happy and
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:Unless you wanna try and give, um, the old timers mainly a crash course on how to edit and publish, uh,
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:Yeah,
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:a bot.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:minutes before my holiday admin really kicks in, so I don't think so. But um, yeah, no, all good. Cool. Thanks for
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:All right.
josh_1_08-01-2025_152902:Um, anyone can get in touch with us. Please do. We'll be tweeting out this pod and be good to get some interactions, um, on hail, on free on x, and uh, yeah, speak soon. Hail.
jamesy_1_08-01-2025_152902:I.
