But, uh, I had two perfect days of sunshine after I landed earlier in the week and yeah, had a, had a cracking day out yesterday with some friends and some expats, uh, in the area and. It's been really nice, actually. It's been beautiful weather until this morning, but you know, the 22 degrees sun out, little bit of breeze, the, the winter sun you really want, but it has packed in and it sounds like it might not be the best weather after I head north as well. Um, I dunno if you've seen the Madrid look ahead, forecast.

ledders_1_11-13-2025_130614:Yeah. Well, it feels like I'm in a way. For a while, which I guess I have,'cause I landed as, you know, in London last Friday. So, um, I've been trying to take it a little bit easier outside of yesterday. But yeah, some, some laggers in the sun and a sangria, uh, or two were consumed. Uh, we did have some early tapas, so I was trying to get in the mood before I get to Madrid. So some small, some small plates. Um, I think you can get the plane tonight, right? So I'll probably go out and take it easy and watch that before I get the train. Uh. From Malaga tomorrow morning, high speed train. So it should only take, uh, three hours into Madrid. So not too bad.

I dunno if you've been on our Twitter match this week, but I've gotta say, despite the situation for both teams and I guess especially our team, Miami had come in a little bit more buoyant, I'm assuming, after the last couple of weeks. But there's some real buzz and excitement within the fan base, which is good to see, obviously. So, so many people would've, uh, booked and made these arrangements way before the season, wouldn't they? So we're gonna have. A lot of folks out there from all, um, around Europe and of course the US as well. So it should be, should be a great weekend. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
josh_1_11-13-2025_120613:I must say I am very slightly jealous of you being there tomorrow evening because I feel like that is likely when a lot of people will arrive, especially from stateside, and you'll start to feel the buzz in the city and people starting to find their way around. And I'm sure you bump into some people and, uh, maybe frequent some of those, those pubs and stuff that have, that are engaged in the weekend. Um, it does seem really, really positive online actually for two teams that are three and seven, both, both three and seven records. There's more buzz than I think, um, I would expect, and I think that's probably one due to kind of the dolphins looking a bit better than they were, um, start of the season. Uh, and two, uh. you say, everyone's kind of booked this in for in advance, gonna make the best of it. But also, right, we, we have to remember in Europe as well, these are two of the best supported franchises in Europe'cause of the history and when they're on channel four back in the day and stuff. So we will have that and I think naturally you'll see a lot of people travel for both teams, which should be really good.

What a great season that was in our franchise history. Uh, this game was dubbed, I believe, the tour bowl. Uh, it was the Owen four Dolphins against the. Oh five Washington Redskin. So not a win between us coming into Hard Rock Stadium in South Florida. But yeah, you flew out then you about the Wednesday or the Thursday. Um, we met up with, uh, some, some friends down in, in South Florida and then, uh, had a great weekend, didn't we, into. In, in Miami, uh, into the game. And the art and the culture of that area of Miami was amazing. I was really, really impressed. And, um, if anyone ever kind of slags off Miami and just says it's this party town, south Beach and stuff, then I always stand up for it now.'cause I had a, a brilliant time in, uh, it was at Wynwood and, uh, in the, um, yeah, little Havana and all the Cuban restaurants. So just a big shout out to the city, which I absolutely loved and adored.

There's a lot to it actually, because we found out that we did have a budding young rookie star on our hands that I think this was a game we kind of left and said, we're gonna have a tree number one receiver, right? Because Terry caught a couple of touchdowns in the first half. One really, really good touchdown and a great, great route, uh, from Keenan.

Top pick in the league was starting for them and he got yanked at half time. Uh, he was sacked, I'm not sure how many times, maybe three or four in that first half. And there was a Quentin Dunbar interception and there was a second pick thrown in the first half as well, so he was out at half time.
On second and 10 Rosen throws and it is intercepted. Quentin Dunbar with the pick. Now he's back in business.

Um, without having the full game script though Fitzpatrick came in and just started slicing us apart. That came down to the last drive, if you'll remember this, and very pivotal two point play potentially in both franchises history, because this was, as we said, the game that. Was Dub the two of all. Uh, which kind of reminded me of the Suck for Luck thing back in 2011, uh, when Andrew Luck and RG three were coming out. Um, but

But yeah, we, it was a weird cold play though, so the conspiracy theorists were kind of out a little bit for the Miami side, I think. But, um, it kind of got battered down in front of the end zone if memory serves. And Washington held on, uh, to get the first win of the season. 17, 16, we got some great pitchers at the front of the stands there. And also another plus for Miami. That stadium, it kind of feels like a. German modern football stadium, doesn't it? Kind of how it's set out. Um, so that'd be good for the World Cup for anyone to think of coming over. But yeah, great weekend went to prove that we can have a lot of fun if we are losing football team, which, uh, may as well for this weekend. But yeah, it was a good, it was a, it was a fun game in that sense that we, um, actually saw the defense make some plays, albeit against the poor, uh, dolphins team. And we saw McClaren catch a couple of touchdowns and it went down to the def and we kept them out. So, yeah. Had great, uh, one to be at, even though it was, uh, two poor teams. And I think we enjoyed ourselves with a couple of beers and later games on South Beach afterwards.
josh_1_11-13-2025_120613:Yeah, exactly. Did, and it kind of does, um, does seem to be that that could be a bit of a script for this weekend as well. The same two teams, obviously. So a nice, nice call back to that one. Um, I do remember that last play that, uh, attempt. It almost felt like, I think it was like a little wide receiver screen out. To the left, and it almost looked like Fitz sort of threw it like he was throwing it into the ground. He didn't, but it was like, it wasn't, um, particularly well designed or at least well executed play.
Hatch ups at the bottom of the screen. Preston, William, Josh Norman, quick did Drake. He dropped it. They wanted a quick throw and Drake was gonna run it in, but it drops. It's no good.

Uh, we were the second overall pick our season. I don't think we won again that year until Detroit, like around Thanksgiving. Um, that was the. Um, and I have to say I agree, um, very much so in terms of what this game script should look like for us, it might not be the most sexy thing in the world. In terms of how the game might play out, but running the ball in that sort of environment against that sort of team to put the pressure off our defense and off Dan Quinn calling the defensive plays would be a good formula in my eyes. And I think we should spread it around, like you said, in terms of the free backs that we have. Um, so I would actually like to see that. And I think a bit more old school, these two teams would be cool as well to see a game like that. so yeah. Good stuff. James Lee, what, what do you think about that?
ledders_1_11-13-2025_130614:I think that's a pretty good shout. I just dunno if I envisaged Cliff sticking with it that much, even if the past game isn't working. He likes to definitely still. Still kind of filter it around. So I think we'd have to have success early for, um, to get that many touches to a back. I did see Rodriguez is gonna play there, which I think is, is great. And, you know, I like him as a, as a back and I think he's always run hard. Um, so yeah, we're gonna have to run the ball for sure. Whether we stick that religiously with it, we will have to wait and see. But I, I do like it as a shout, um, to give us, give us a chance. And also to be quite honest, shorten the game a little bit because. I just don't envisage suddenly the defense turning up and stopping Miami, unfortunately, where we're at with him.
josh_1_11-13-2025_120613:No,'cause they're quite, they're quite dangerous. They can be a dangerous, offensive team in spite of their record. And there's a, I suppose, jury out at the moment on the head coach and, and, and his kind of approach to things offensively and how that was a bit of a honeymoon period initially for them. These days, it's a bit much more hit and miss for McDaniel. I like him. Actually. I think he's a, he's a, he's a good guy, clever bloke, and could be an interesting offensive coordinator somewhere, um, if he's not seen as a head coach candidate. Um, but generally speaking, they can be really dangerous and we just know that anyone can really throw the ball on us. So it doesn't necessarily mean that we have to overanalyze what our defense can do. Um, I asked James this question in our. Recap of the lions game around Dan Quinn taking over and whether we would see a bounce back for the defense. It's not really hard, it's not really much of a bounce. You're just kind of coming out of, out of nothing really the way we've been playing. Uh, I think we will, um, I dunno how the extent to which we will, but I think they'll play it a bit harder and I think you'll see a bit of simplification and hopefully you can motivate some, some improvements. What do you think, do you think that Dan Quinn's gonna make an instant impact?
ledders_1_11-13-2025_130614:Maybe, I mean, I kind of predicted that he would make this change after the buy. That was probably what they were gonna do, but it just got so bad that they had to do it before. Um. Yeah, I dunno. I, I just don't think they will massively change. I also kind of gave a shout out that if he's gonna do it, he should wait to get that gaunt of games out the way.'cause it's a bit of self-preservation there, isn't it? So I guess we should just buy the opposition, hopefully see us play them a bit closer. Um, but as you said, they've got real wear ends, uh, like the running back, uh, Devon, a Shane, and obviously Waddle.

Sometimes if things are not going well or a bit stale, just to kind of get out of that, uh, routine in the same environment, sometimes that might, that may help. Um, in themselves.'cause they're in a different spot. Many, many of the players will never have been to Spain, Europe, whatever. Like this is just an interesting environment for them. Um, yeah, I think that's a, that's a shout. I actually was having a read of, uh, an article, um, from the Miami side and probably went talk too much about Miami in detail. But, um, they're one in five in international series games. Um, and actually two coaches have been fired off the back of losses in international series games for them. Um, so obviously they lost that first ever one that we talked about, um,

Um, they've played, uh, in Wembley twice, sorry. They've played in Wembley four times, the Dolphins, and then once at Tottenham Hot First Stadium where they lost the jazz. That was the last time I went, um, to a game involving the Dolphins. Um, so I went to that one. Um, and uh, that was when the jazz played two games at home and Urban Meyer was their head coach, but they upset the Dolphins.

ledders_1_11-13-2025_130614:I, I always just think back to, um, them being that kind of Dan Marino led franchise that were always quite big in the uk, weren't they? You, you're right by saying that, um, you know, the, those eighties teams, the kind of colors they play out the, I dunno, it's just like seeing them them colors is just iconic for the dolphins, isn't it? Um, so it's interesting that they have, obviously not. Had a ton of success of late, uh, I like the coach as well, uh, but maybe he just is more of a coordinator fit, so it'd be interest to see what happens. I'm surprised he's still there. To be honest, after the start of the season, that looked pretty bad and if I listened to a couple or two a press conferences, I remember early on this season, I was like, oh my God, that is unraveling very quickly. But here they are coming off the back of two wins, including a beat down of Buffalo. So that's the NFL right?

They were looking so good, and then the dolphins beat him. Um, and at again, like we talked about. We either seem to play teams that are bouncing back or that are angry. Um, I don't think this is one that we have to worry about as much, but, um, let's, uh, let's talk about what we think will happen. James is gonna close us out with his prediction. Um, but this will be, I'm hoping, I'm hoping the first time in a while. That we might have a clean sweep of positive predictions. Um, but let's start, Lee, with what you think will happen in a score line, please. After your very impressive close call last week,

So yeah, after our points total in la wasn't it, with the charges. So, um, yeah. But I'm gonna be honest, and I'm not doing this to put a down on the trip, I just, I have never watched a defense that bad as I saw on Sunday. I just don't know that I can suddenly see them just. There's too many issues to fix for me. And the dolphins have a bit of talent. So unfortunately I've, I've kind of done this year with, um, going with my heart. So I'm going with my head and I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Um, but I'm not, I mean, I've, look, I went to Dallas and said, we're gonna win, right? I mean, I think there's a good callback to mention how you thought we'd win in Dallas, against Dallas.'cause um, you a bit of a, uh, a bit of, uh, money in the bank, I guess. I think, um, that's a, that's a very, that's a very solid guess and prediction score line actually. Um, which my head says, oh, maybe I should have done that because it seems like it would make a lot more sense. Um. The over under for this game is, is not your typical over under for an international series game, it's actually 47.5.
