Josh Tennant, an 18-year PT veteran, joins hosts the two Dans and Lisa to share how he went from the home health grind to working just three days a week through smart Bitcoin investing. After 15 years in home health, dealing with endless paperwork and evening patient calls, Josh discovered that even with regular raises, therapists are falling behind because real inflation (6-8%) outpaces our 3% salary bumps. Five years ago, he started buying Bitcoin at $35,000, and it's now worth $122,000. He explains that Bitcoin is different from sketchy cryptocurrencies because only 21 million will ever exist, making it scarce like gold. His advice is practical: start small with automatic weekly purchases (dollar-cost averaging), use hardware wallets for security, and think long-term (5-10 years minimum). You can even invest through Bitcoin ETFs in your Roth IRA. Josh now uses his Bitcoin as collateral for tax-free loans, which fund his part-time lifestyle without selling his holdings. Bitcoin started as just 15% of his portfolio, but now makes up 75% as his confidence grew through education. His main message is that therapists work too hard and remain financially stressed, but with proper education and strategic investing, financial freedom is actually achievable.
