Dr. Andrew Kaufman: Welcome back to The True Health Report. Today, I want to talk about something that’s often overlooked—Real ID.
They told you it’s just a new ID to keep you safe. But the truth is far more concerning.
Here’s what’s going on: Real ID is a voluntary program that’s being marketed as mandatory. They want you to think it’s about airport security—but really, it’s about tracking and controlling you.
You’ll hear officials say, “You can’t fly without it,” or “You can’t access federal buildings without it.” But that’s only part of the story.
The Real ID Act was passed back in 2005. It’s been slowly implemented ever since, and now we’re approaching a deadline: May 7, 2025. That’s the date the federal government says you’ll need a Real ID for domestic flights in the U.S.
But here’s the key: Real ID is not actually a federal document. It’s issued by your state, not the federal government. The federal government doesn’t make IDs—it’s a state-level program, created through federal pressure.
So what does this mean? It means you’re being pushed into a surveillance system that’s technically optional.
Real ID collects more of your personal data. It links to databases that go beyond just your driver’s license. And once you’re in, it’s much harder to get out.
You might be wondering: “Do I really have a choice?”
The answer is yes. Real ID is not truly mandatory—it’s a choice. They’ll tell you it’s required, but it’s only required if you want to access certain federal facilities or fly domestically without another form of ID like a passport.
If you already have a passport, you can fly without a Real ID. You don’t need to participate in this system.
And if you’ve already signed up for a Real ID? There are steps you can take to undo that compliance. We’ll get into those strategies in just a minute.
First, let’s talk about why this matters for your health freedom.
The more data they collect, the more control they have. Real ID expands the state’s ability to monitor you—not just for travel, but for your healthcare decisions, too. Once these databases exist, they don’t stay isolated.
Your health records, your movements, your travel patterns—they all become part of a larger picture that’s about control, not safety.
So what can you do?
If you haven’t signed up for Real ID, don’t. Use your passport instead when you travel domestically.
If you already have a Real ID and you want to reverse that decision, you can ask your state’s DMV how to remove that Real ID designation. Some states will allow you to reissue your driver’s license without the Real ID markings.
But most importantly, stay aware of the bigger picture. Real ID is just one piece of a much larger system of digital IDs, digital passports, and biometric data collection. It’s all designed to get you used to being tracked—so that when the next step comes, it’s that much easier to accept.
I want to invite you to a special live Q&A session I’m hosting on June 13th at 12pm EST. We’ll go even deeper on how to opt out of Real ID, how to reverse it if you’ve already complied, and what other travel and identity options you have.
It’s free to join, and if you can’t make it live, you’ll get access to the replay. Because your freedom shouldn’t have a time limit.

Remember: You’re not stuck with Real ID. You’re not stuck with any of these systems—unless you choose to be.
Knowledge is power. And with that power, you can step outside the control grid and live freely.
Thank you for joining me. I’ll see you in the next episode of The True Health Report.
