Hey everyone, I'm April Wilde and welcome to the Wild and Wild Podcast, where community is everything. This is a space for women who want more, more freedom, more purpose, more confidence. Let us connect you with inspiring women, female founders, and thought leaders. When women connect and inspire each other, incredible things happen. Life's too short to play small. Let's grow together. So welcome back to the Wildemar Podcast. I am so excited for our guest today. She's the most inspirational businesswoman I know. My kind of mentor and good friend, Sara Lou Jones. Now, Sarah Lou Jones has scaled and grown a business called Centre of Excellence. Now, if you don't know about Centre of Excellence, it's an online course business which does everything. So from mindset, NLP, personal development, and so much more. Hundreds of thousands of students globally, and I think it was over two million customers. And recently, Sara got awarded the Goldman Sachs Award, Most Likely to Become a Unicorn, which is just we'll talk about in the podcast, is just so incredible. I can't wait to talk to you about this. But what I particularly find interesting about Sarah's journey is how she has combined mindset and business strategy to build an incredibly successful company, scaling to extraordinary levels, including multiple million pound months. And in today's conversation, we're diving into her journey into becoming a successful businesswoman, the mindset behind it all, and the power of online education, how AI is shaping the future of content, and how we can create multiple streams of revenue. So welcome, Sara. Excited to be here.

SPEAKER_02

Thanks for having me.

SPEAKER_01

I'm so glad you're here. Like we've been meaning to do this for ages, haven't we? We have, we have.

SPEAKER_02

Goodness, absolutely. I mean, we've just celebrated our 14th birthday, which has been quite the journey, as it always is, building a business. So 14 years ago, I actually found myself in a really difficult situation. One of those situations where you think, how the heck did my life end up this way? I'm sure we've all been there at times. But I'd come out of a long-term relationship, I'd found out I was pregnant, I had no money, and my main goal at the time was just to create an amazing life, my little boy. Like we all want, right? And no matter what, I just thought, okay, I'm gonna be, you know, doing this alone as a single parent. But that was my main goal and my main mission. So I had no money, but my background is in NLP, which is neurolinguistic programming and hypnotherapy. So I was teaching a lot of classroom-based courses at the time, which I absolutely loved. But I wanted something that I could do working from home. I was about to have a baby. I'd never even held a baby before, so I didn't even know what I was doing with having a baby. I didn't really have any help or support. So I wanted something I could do from home, working from home, making money online. So I'm a great believer that when we find ourselves in these difficult situations in life, sometimes happens. It's all about asking ourselves the right questions and finding the solution.

SPEAKER_01

And this is your specialty. I feel like whenever you come to our events and do workshops with people, like you really get people to dig that bit deeper on what are what do you really want?

SPEAKER_02

And absolutely. So my main question at the time began became how can I make money from home? Okay, what do I know? What do I have? What can I sell online? So I was teaching these NLP classroom-based courses. So I thought, right, I will sell my online NLP course. I'll turn my classroom-based course into an online course, which was brilliant. I had my product, but the thing is, I had no website to sell it on, and I didn't have any money to create a website. We didn't have AI back then to help create you a website. So I had to be creative. So I thought, okay, who will create a website for me for free? I love how you create, like, thought these ideas that create. Who will create a website for me for free? There's always somebody. And I thought, okay, well, maybe a student that wants work experience, working and actually designing and building a website. So I was living in Manchester at the time, and I contacted a few local universities.

SPEAKER_01

That's a good idea though. Like, what made you have you always had these ideas, like like big ideas? Because a lot of people wouldn't think that, like, oh, how can I get a free website built?

SPEAKER_02

Do you know what I always try and focus 80% on the solution, 20% on the problem? So I contacted the universities and I was actually inundated with people that were students that wanted the experience, the work experience in return for a great reference. So there's so many out there, isn't there? The ones for help. Yeah, absolutely. So um ended up working with a couple of students. They built this lovely website for me with guidance from me. And then it came to the point where I thought, right, well, you know, I've got my website, I've got my course, but I need to sell it now, and I've got no money for marketing. So it was, how can I sell my online course to millions of people worldwide? Let's think big here. Millions of people worldwide, but with no money. This is what we all want to know. So I thought, okay, it's tapping into other people's audiences. Now, at the time, 14 years ago, the Daily Deal websites such as Groupon and Woucher, they were huge. They were all advertising on TV, and none of them at the time were selling any kind of online course. So I contacted Groupon, and I had to actually pester the heck out of the sales rep and ignore all her no's because every time I said, you know, let's run this online NLP course as a deal, I think it'll do really well. She just said, no, we only sell products and services, we don't sell online courses. But I didn't give up.

SPEAKER_01

And that's a really important message there. Because when you've told me this story before, it's like so many people just take the no and they're like, oh, move on. She's like, just keep going.

SPEAKER_02

Keep going.

SPEAKER_01

And it's aided me in business, like just to keep going. Oh, well, could we not negotiate or do this? Absolutely. Just gotta keep pestering people, really.

SPEAKER_02

So I kept going until eventually one day she ran me up and she was like, Right, Sarah, we will run your online course as a deal. And it was probably the best decision she ever made because it went on to sell so many. Now, at the time, the Daily Deal websites there was uh Groupon and Woucher, KGB Deals, Amazon actually started Amazon Daily Deals, and then Gumtree, if you remember Gumtree started Gumtree Daily Deals, and they all had these huge audiences. So I would run my course on the likes of Groupon, didn't cost me anything. They would market it to their whole database. You can imagine of the likes of Amazon, a huge database, and they would just take a 50% commission. So, in effect, the type of business model is really working with affiliates and partnerships, you're getting in front of their audience, and as long as they're compensated, they've got a really good commission structure, and they're getting, you know, they were getting 50%. It worked really well. And so I started using this business model, and I started investing in having new courses made, um, working on more deal sites, and then I realized actually Groupon was a franchise, and it was Groupons in most English-speaking countries worldwide, so Australia, New Zealand, Canada, America, India.

SPEAKER_01

Your eyes just lit up like, oh my gosh, I can go everywhere like with this.

SPEAKER_02

This was all from my living room, and you know, with a newborn baby, and before long, I literally was getting um a payment off all of these deal sites every month, like hundreds of them. So creating these multiple revenue streams. And now, fast forward to today, 14 years on, we no longer work with the deal sites now. We've changed our marketing as you know, the years have gone by, but we now have over a thousand courses on our website. We have over two million customers worldwide. And from starting a business in my living room with single mummy money, in our busiest times during the pandemic, we were doing a million pounds a month in revenue. And one month we even had a two million pound month, which is where that's that's how we all want to be living life with two million pound months. And then earlier, well, actually, it was last year, I was awarded um by Goldman Sachs this incredible award, which was really unexpected and really heartfelt in their belief in centre of excellence in me about.

SPEAKER_01

How did it come about then? Because she went to kind of do a course, like well, alongside the University of Oxford.

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely. Well, they awarded me um the company most likely to become a unicorn. And I was like, What is a unicorn? I mean, who doesn't want to be a unicorn? Absolutely amazing. But a unicorn, it's not just a mythical magical creature, but hey, you know, for that as well. A unicorn is actually a company that goes on to have a valuation of a billion pounds or more. So I was like, oh, okay, no pressure. Um, and it was also a course that I did with Goldman Sachs and the University of Oxford, who were just incredible. And so it was so lovely to have that recognition and that belief. And yes, it's um to say no pressure now. Yeah, you've got to go on, take over the world. It's it's lovely that you know that they they have that belief. So yeah, it's been a journey and a half, and I suppose from my side, um, I always really just love to share the message that none of us are immune to the challenges of life. We're all gonna go through challenges, ups and downs. This is the journey we're all on. However, there is always a way to create a better life for yourself if you just really believe in yourself and you have to develop resilience because life can be tough. Business can be tough, right? Business can be brutal. Up and down. I think it was Elil Mus that says, you know, growing a business very often is like staring into a black abyss and eating broken glass. And you know what? I read it and I was like, Yeah, I can relate to that so much.

SPEAKER_01

It's so full of, especially starting it out just on your own. And when was the point where you thought, oh, I need a team? Like, did it happen quite quickly? Or no, was it were you just doing it by yourself for the first time?

SPEAKER_02

Do you know what? Yeah, I used freelancers.

SPEAKER_01

This is what I love that you look into, and it's something that I've started to do in my model in my business because I thought you don't always just need to hire someone full-time, you can just get you do anymore.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, or think you're starting a business now, you don't have to go down the employment route. It can actually, you know, it's difficult sometimes. Can handy you a bit sometimes. All the employment law and what have you, but I think freelancers, you can find some amazing freelancers on sites such as Upwork.com or PeoplePur Hour or Fiverr.com, and it's incredible. So I built up an incredible team of course writers over the years, um, just any job that you needed doing, and I just kept reinvesting back into my business and having all these jobs done, all these courses created, and that was my team. It was a team of freelancers, and it was only really probably well, I don't even know, four or five years in that I started employing people, but even now it is so much easier to just use freelancers and to grow your team that way. I don't think you have to have a big employed team, and obviously you've got AI now that you can really leverage and you're really passionate about AI, aren't you, as well, to grow business.

SPEAKER_01

I think we have to go move with it and move forward with AI because it's everything's changing in the models of business. Everything is changing.

SPEAKER_02

I think it's essential that you know you leverage AI as much as possible. I just think if you don't leverage it, then your customers absolutely wouldn't will and your competition, should I say, your competition absolutely will. You know, it's vital really.

SPEAKER_01

And how do you use it in your business at the moment? Like, do you use it to help you with logs and all sorts like that?

SPEAKER_02

Everything I think um all my teamwork from home, they're all using it to become more productive in their roles. So it's not replacing your team, it's helping them to really leverage their role and to uh you know leverage AI to become better at what they're doing and output to more productive.

SPEAKER_01

It's amazing what you've created. I mean, I wanted to ask as well: did you always have such a positive mindset, like growing up? Like, do you think, or was it when you trained in NLP that gave you this? Because there's not many people that would be like, right, I've just had a baby, I'm gonna see all these opportunities. Like you obviously your mind seems to look and be very receptive to opportunity, and you're always looking for the good, I think, of being your friend. Like you're always, oh, it'll just happen, it'll come into my life when I need it most, you know. So, how is that happening? Like, how did that come to you?

SPEAKER_02

It's interesting actually. I was interviewed a couple of years ago, and it was all about um you know, looking at opportunities and the thought process you you go through when you see an opportunity, and instead of seeing what could go wrong, I always just think, well, I'll always find a solution no matter what comes up. So very solution focused, but um, yeah, from very early on, I think they used to call me Delboy at school. I was taking in, you know, um wholesale tops and things and reselling them to kids.

SPEAKER_01

So you have got that natural entrepreneurial. I love it.

SPEAKER_02

I think I absolutely love, you know, business and coming up with new ideas and opportunities, and it's it's becoming a really good problem solver. I think that's very much business, isn't it? Constantly, isn't it? Every day. Solve a problem. If you can solve enough people's problem, then you have a very good business.

SPEAKER_01

And that's the whole model of businesses. You should always look at what's what problem are we solving, like in society. And you've got to, and what's great about your business is all about personal development and growth, and you're actually giving these courses where they want to come back and learn more. Absolutely and it's such so niche and yeah, it's exciting. And then they share it. You've got what I loved about your business as well, is you've got a huge community. So on like Facebook, you've got over two, is it two million?

SPEAKER_02

Yes, over 2.2 million followers on Facebook. Um, not that that matters anymore all that time. It does, it does matter. I think uh, you know, social media is changing so much with the reality, isn't it? Oh my goodness, it's crazy. But we have the most incredible community. I think we have over 83,000 students in a study group on Facebook, and they are the most supportive, incredible, inspirational people. They really are. You know, when someone's doing a course, everyone supports if someone's struck on a course subject. And I think community is so important now in building a business. I do agree. You know, absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

She's the queen of community building, yeah. And I think it's nice because I was researching actually, I did a presentation last week, you know, at the She Risers retreat. And I was researching like the top businesses, like you know, the ones like the likes of Sephora and Airbnb and all these. They're all using this platforms of like Facebook to do forums, and and you were really a step ahead in this game. Yeah. Because it's like people want to talk to each other, and then you've done you've built in this like award system so you award back people that are doing great things who have done one of your courses and been like an ambassador of the brand. I love that.

SPEAKER_02

We love hearing stories of how someone's taken a course. How has it gone on to change your life? Even if it's just building your confidence, because a lot of us, you know, we all struggle with that time to time. So, you know, how have you used your new skills to go on either to change your life or to make a difference to somebody else's life? So I think that's really important. And I think it's great to recognize your community and just support them as much as possible, celebrate them. I'm always saying, let's celebrate our customers because we just loved seeing the growth. And, you know, a lot of our courses, I mean, they're very different in that, you know, a lot of them are personal and professional development, but we do also have a very big following for people that love the more spiritual subjects, your spiritual development. So we kind of say we're mind, body, soul for courses and over a thousand courses on the platform now. And I think they all interlink anyway. They are very wellness-driven. Which are your most popular? Like, would you say? I would say the holistic health and well-being courses most popular. I think a lot of people are looking to take care of their own health in a more natural, holistic way, and just learn about that.

SPEAKER_01

When you come to the events, people are like, Centre of Excellence. Oh my god, I've done that course in like sound healing or oh my god, I've done that course, business development, or whatever it is. It's fascinating how many people have actually done it.

SPEAKER_02

Like, it always blows my mind. I could be in a different country, sat by the pool, and I'll talk to somebody and they'll say, Oh yeah, I know Centre of Excellence. And like, that's me. It's it's incredible because I built the brand and the business without me actually being the face of the company.

SPEAKER_01

It's fascinating that because I'm the opposite. I have the face of it, and I'm trying to kind of bring my community more as the face, but yeah, yeah, how have you done that? To did you never feel the need to put your face into it at the start?

SPEAKER_02

I think because I was so busy having babies. We both, as you should say, we've got four children. Both got four children. Busy lives. It's just busy lives because I was so busy having a family, and I wasn't bothered about being the face of the brand. And I think people study a course because they're really into that subject rather than because of the owner of the business. So it wasn't a brand that I felt had to be about me. I love supporting, you know, growth and personal development and our students in that way, but I don't think that's why they purchase from us. It's more, you know, good quality course and the community.

SPEAKER_01

That in itself, like not being the face of it makes it an even better business in a way, because when you scale a business to that level, if you ever thought of selling it, that's what kind of businesses would look for, right? That they could easily take it on. If I don't know if you are, but it's interesting to scale it to that level because you've really built such an empire now. It's like, and it's global, which is so it's really hard to take that step from UK. Was there a moment then you did you say in your first year you just went, Oh, I can tap into every English-speaking country?

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely. Well, I think at the time when I spotted the opportunity when we were working with the deal sites in the UK, and then when I realized that Groupon was in most English-speaking countries and beyond, you know, there was Groupon in Spain as well, and other, you know, uh non-English speaking countries, it was just a natural progression. And then I realized that the deal sites wouldn't be busy forever, wouldn't be popular forever. It was kind of a price war with Woucher and Groupon, and they kept lowering the prices. And I thought, oh, this is I think that's why Amazon got out in the end because they could see the race to the bottom on the price war.

SPEAKER_01

Um then did you create your own model then? So was that a big process of like creating how to inbuilt everything into your website? Like that must have been quite a hard task.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so oh my goodness, our website. So we literally built our own e-learning platform from scratch. So we own all the IP for that. That's amazing in itself. I mean, it's cost a lot over the years. I mean, there's so many great websites now that you can use and you know, host your own courses and things. And what we do now, and this is a really big strategy for us that any business can implement is all about creating these multiple income streams. I'm always talking about this. I'm such a big advocate because everybody can do it. So we what I did working with the deal sites and tapping into their audience is just the same as working with affiliates. And those affiliates, as long as they're getting a good commission split, we often do 50-50% commission, that they will sell it to their database, you know, whether they've got a great following on social media or they've built a really good email list. As long as it's a win-win, yeah, you know.

SPEAKER_01

So, do you have a lot of ambassadors then that work with you now?

SPEAKER_02

And yeah, you work with thousands of affiliates that are selling, like to say, make money while you sleep. You log in, see how many they've sold, and as long as they're getting paid their fantastic permission, they're happy, you're happy, that's a great partnership. So everybody can do this, and this is what I'm always really talking about.

SPEAKER_01

Because so, for someone out there that's like, oh, I have like, I don't know, events business or I'm a photographer or something quite niche, how do they start? Like, where's it where would you start with an online? Would you just create like an online course?

SPEAKER_02

But I think everybody can create an online course for whatever they're doing. So digital products, so any business that you're in, you know, it's a big world out there and there's a niche for everything. I mean, as I say, some of our courses are quite out there. We've got a very big spiritual community, which I'm very spiritual as well. Um, so there's a niche for everything.

SPEAKER_01

Like you've got a medium ship, all sorts of things, like and then you've got like dog training and it was.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah. Mix, mix. We're kind of tapping into different audiences so everybody can do it. So it's not difficult, especially with AI now, to create a digital product. It's very easy.

SPEAKER_01

It could be like an ebook, or it could be you speaking like an online course, or it could be a mix of things, couldn't it?

SPEAKER_02

Well, the beauty is if you create a digital product, say you created an online course or an ebook, you know, you can then turn that into an audio course and sell it on all the audio platforms. Well, they will sell it for you and take a commission every month. So that's one income stream coming in.

SPEAKER_01

How would you go about that then? So if you created a course and you put it into like an audiobook, and then you go, oh, like approach Amazon, like, oh, I'll get an audio. Can you put this?

SPEAKER_02

There's this website. So if you so say you created your online course, that's your first digital product, you can sell that on your website, and you can also have an army of affiliates selling it for you. There's so many affiliate websites that will sell it for you to their database and take a commission. If you partnered up with a hundred affiliates, that's a hundred payments coming into your bank account every month. So that's multiple income streams, and that's off one product. So if you think about us, We bring out two new courses every week.

SPEAKER_01

How do you do that? Oh my god.

SPEAKER_02

We've got two new courses every week that go out to a thousand people. Well, there's tons more now that are all selling it. So we have these revenue streams coming in. So we've got a thousand courses on our platform now, times however many people are selling it. So this is how it it builds up.

SPEAKER_01

Um and this is how I do audio, you can turn it into different channels. Absolutely.

SPEAKER_02

You can turn your online course into an audio book and then sell it on the platforms that sell audio courses for you for a commission. You can turn it into a Kindle book and sell it on, you know, Amazon and all the places that send that's another income stream. So you can turn it into all these things.

SPEAKER_01

Like everyone does have a course within them. And I think we always think we can't make money when we sleep, like, but we can. Like this now with the internet being how it is, like look at all these YouTubers and creators, like well, our kids are really into them. Like, oh, I want this latest, like salish makeup from this influencer. She's only like, you know, so young, but they get bought into these influencers and people sharing, and yeah, there's so much opportunity online to sell to on Instagram, you know, YouTube, like all the different channels, but also work with affiliates and get yourself more known. And absolutely.

SPEAKER_02

And I think it's finding what works for you, isn't it? I mean, it's all about you know, finding the right business model for you. As I say, I didn't build a personal brand. I know these days it's all about building a personal brand, but I suppose on proof that you you can build a brand without you having to be, you know, especially if you're selling something like digital products, you don't have to build up a big um value, but it is great to do that, and obviously there's more opportunities that come from that, and it's another way of selling, but it's a different world. It's whatever you feel more comfortable uh comfortable doing. Not everybody wants to be in front of the camera every day, but you know, it's whatever works best for you.

SPEAKER_01

It's interesting to see that perspective because that everyone's all about on Instagram, oh, personal brand, personal brand. But yeah, then I think back to my mum who created a massive empire, 30 countries worldwide. She was, she would do interviews and things like that, but people didn't really think of her when they thought a flooring business. You know what I mean? Yeah, she wasn't the face of it. So it's like, and my dad as well, like they just got the good products and they got them out there. So it shows like you don't have to be the face, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it depends on the product as well, doesn't it? You know, if it's a very much product that people are buying into you, say it's coaching with April, you know, they're buying into you as the coach, and so they want to know all about you and your values and see how you've done it. You know, absolutely. Whereas I suppose people weren't buying a centre essence course because of me. Yeah, you know.

SPEAKER_01

Um exciting, like the prospect of like you can do anything. Like if you just create these online courses and even don't have to have your face to it, you can grow from any channel and yeah, work with these incredible affiliates. I I always get so motivated when I'm with you because I'm like, right, I'm gonna go home, do an online course, but then I go home to four children. Well, that's it. That's the thing you see. It's the time. Like, how would you say for someone new, then starting out, if someone's listening, like, I really want to do this, I really want to create my own online course. Would you just start like how long should a course be? Or should it can it be anything?

SPEAKER_02

It could be just it can be anything.

SPEAKER_01

So it doesn't need to be that long because I remember I bought one online from this Instagram lady that I follow, like coach, and um actually when I got it, it was so simple. Yeah, and she just kind of gave you top tips, and so it can be you can do it however you like.

SPEAKER_02

I would just say in today's society, you want to try and give as much value as possible. I think as long as you're giving something that's got a lot of value, that's really the what we look at it as now we're not selling a product, we're actually selling transformation. That's how I like to say to my team. I'm like, what are we selling here? We're not just selling a course, we're selling transformation. So it's all about the value. How is this course going to help someone to transform their life in any way, even if it's just building your confidence up because you've completed it? Um, so we try and just add as much value as possible, and I think it's so easy to do that now, especially with AI. If you're stuck for ideas, you don't need to just struggle on your own.

SPEAKER_01

And it's like training up your AI as well. I think we when we had a coffee before, we were talking about this, but like it's you can turn it into like marketing strategists and say, Right, ask me all the questions you need to know to really help me take this business to the next level. Like, or you could say, I said to mine recently, like Chat GPT, just you're my Facebook like strategist now. Yeah. So I don't really I do Instagram a lot, but I didn't really do Facebook, and it was so powerful. Like the ads it was recommending, it was like people want to see your voice, doing a video. So it's like you can work with AI to really create this powerful online course, and then it can even then tell you how to market it.

SPEAKER_02

It's powerful. Absolutely. Well, I've been doing so many mentoring sessions lately, helping people to add multiple revenue streams to their business through either creating digital products or even just looking at different types of business model. So even things like um becoming, you know, having licensees.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I love this business model. I know. So we're working on it for Centre of Excellence at the minute. So like McDonald's and Roy Croc, you know, the founder of McDonald's. I don't know if you've watched The Founder. Oh, yeah, I think I did watch that.

SPEAKER_01

It was fascinating.

SPEAKER_02

Like where they started out. The money isn't really in selling the beef burgers, the hamburgers, it's actually the business model.

SPEAKER_01

And um it's the scalability of it, how they rolled it out across America is fascinating. It's fascinating. And keeping everything like strategically smooth, like it was interesting that document.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I think a lot of us, you know, from time to time, I think a lot of people are setting up businesses, but they're not thinking big.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think you know, it's the imposter syndrome that people don't think they could go that level, but it's you're your proof that you can because you've gone from somewhere like yeah in a low place. And I want to touch on that and go back to actually the steps you took to do that.

SPEAKER_02

But actually, it's like you can do anything. You become if you're gonna put that time and energy into building a business, and it's not easy, is it? It it you know, especially when you're building a new business, you have to put the time in. Yeah, you have to put the energy in, and if you're gonna invest that anyway, why not just think big? So instead of thinking, okay, my business, I'm in the UK, I'm gonna sell to people in the UK, especially if it's online, yeah, just think worldwide, and that's why it's getting the right business model is so vital and helping you see, is it's like a franchise model, isn't it?

SPEAKER_01

It's his.

SPEAKER_02

I listened to an incredible podcast, um, and it was talking about it, it was a guy who'd set up a um, it was a sandwich shop in America, and it was a really, you know, plain name, even as well. And he was talking about how he became a billionaire, and he was saying how it was the licensee model that he used. So he would almost do like a business in a box where they could use the sandwich shop's name. Like McDonald's, they had a manual, a process manual for every single thing. So if if you were setting up, you just follow this and your your sandwich shop would, you know, be profitable and make money. And instead of selling kind of a franchise, he had the licensee model and that they would pay him the monthly fee just to license the name, license the process. It's kind of like even the monthly marketing sessions and things, it was kind of dumb for you. All you have to do is show up to work, you know, do the work. But he said, even if they weren't selling that many or if their business went up and down, he was still getting his licensing fee every month, and he just opened it up to the whole world. And before long, he was just making millions every month. Not from running his sandwich shop, which he started off with, from licensing the model.

SPEAKER_01

I love this model, and you know, I've always had a bad, I don't know, in my mind, I've always had a bad rep with franchises because I, you know, I've rolled out the Ambassador program now. I've always had this, oh, you're turning into too much of a I don't know where this idea has come from, but it's too corporate or it's too serious, you know. And and actually, maybe I need to shake that off because actually, when it's about winning and taking your brand to the bigger, like the more worldwide, it is. I think I need to shake that off because actually that is my dream as well, to take Wild Mild like global. And now I'm getting people from I had a lady this week from Atlanta, San Francisco who want to set up like the franchisee, but I just kind of call it the ambassador model. But actually, it's fascinating to me. I need to change it. Maybe I've got some limited.

SPEAKER_02

I love the name ambassador as well. It's just, I suppose, having that licensee fee coming in. But um I think it's all got to tie into your mission. So, and then your mission that you set for your business helps you keep focused on how big your goal is. So we say it's centre of excellence. Our mission is to positively impact the lives of a billion people worldwide. And when we think of it like that, we think, okay, so we've we've got to think big. I love that. We're not just selling courses to a few people in the UK. We want to help a billion people.

SPEAKER_01

I've heard that lately on podcasts when I listen to really inspirational people, like I think you know, it's like Sarah Bake Blakely and um Jesse Its and all those. Yeah, they ate a lot of talk about they set a big target. I'm gonna sell a million cupcakes. I think she had that sprinkles shop, didn't she? The cupcake shop that again probably licensed out, and she had spanks and she they had big, big goals. So maybe us women just need to take our goals a bit bigger.

SPEAKER_02

I think so. Yeah, as I say, you've got a certain amount of time that you can invest in your business and a certain amount of energy. So it, you know, just think bigger. Whatever you're doing online, you can target it, not just to the UK, but just target every English-speaking country if you want to over time. So if you're working with affiliates and all these different platforms, you can choose which country you want to work with affiliates in, and then you just keep adding on countries. And then before long, your database is growing and expanding.

SPEAKER_01

And it looks more professional. I think when I see people like, well, we're in Australia, we're here, we're here. It's like you'll see content creators do it now. They work with people from all over the world. Yeah. And it's like, well, yeah, why not? Like you can do that, and it looks more credible, I think, as a business. But I wanted to touch on so how you always, when you do your kind of talks, and you're the most inspirational speaker, by the way, have to shout out about Sarah. She's amazing. But how you scaled, you said you were very clear on goal setting, but you did this, you had these big A like whiteboards in your house and your business where you projected like financial forecasts. And could you run us through that?

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely. I am so very big on goal setting and manifesting, actually. I am very big on manifesting. Everything is energy, all our thoughts have a frequency. And so I have the huge, actually, it's floor to ceiling whiteboard on my whole wall in my office. Um, I'm very visual person. So I find that helps me. I write down and I have different columns. Um, I usually do this at the end of a year, the start of a new year. So it'll be your different goals, be that, you know, what fun things do you want to do this year and travel or your spirituality or your finances or you know, relationship building, um, and put it into different columns. And I'm very clear on goals and things that I'd like to achieve that year. I actually call it my magic whiteboard because everything I put on there tends to come true.

SPEAKER_01

Well, it happened, didn't it? So I remember you said that you were kind of like when you first started out, you were kind of living in a house, you didn't feel tell us that story about Anthony Robbins and it is incredible.

SPEAKER_02

So um, when I was pregnant with my little boy, I didn't have any money, as I said, started my business, and I wanted to get us a house to live in our own home. I was renting at the time, and I didn't have the best credit, nobody would give me a mortgage. So in the end I just thought, right, sodju if no one will give me a mortgage, I'm gonna find a way to buy a house outright in cash. I love you, just very determined. I'm like, right then, I'll do it myself. Um, so I wrote down on my whiteboard, and you have to do it in the present. So I wrote down, I have purchased, I have bought my first house outright in cash, and I think it was like £280,000, you know. And at the time that was a lot of money for me, and I was like, right, bought my first house £280,000 in cash. And that was in the January, and then in the November, we actually moved into our first little house. My business just took off that year. Wow, and I paid £280,000 in cash, and I moved in with Luca, my little boy, who's now 13, and I was like, wow, this beautiful little three-bed, you know, semi in Poynton in uh in Cheshire. What an achievement! It was just like wow, you know, I own this house, and I was only there for six months, and I went on uh Tony Robbins program, Date with Destiny in Florida. It was incredible. I went over on my own for 10 days and I did the date with Destiny program, and he talked about when he started his company, he said he he rented this castle for him and his family to live in. And oh, he's talked about how important surroundings were and your environment to getting into the most resourceful mindset for achieving success. And he said he rented this castle. He said every month he paid the rent was such an achievement. Yeah, and excited about it. He didn't even have enough money to furnish it. But what he did say was that he got so used to living in that type of environment, this castle environment, that he said there was no way that he was gonna go down to what he'd become accustomed to.

SPEAKER_01

Had a really hard life, right? Because he grew up with so much struggle.

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely. I mean, oh, he's just incredible, isn't he, Tony Robbins? But he said he got so used to living in this castle, um, and it really helped him to up his game. So I came back from with Destiny and I was like, I bought my first little house, but it was small, you know, my little office was the third bedroom, and I could kind of touch either side of the walls. Like it was a little square box room. And I remember thinking, I need to rent myself a castle. So not quite, but I remember thinking, you know, I need to live somewhere really inspiring. So I rented that house out, only being there six months, and then I ended up finding this beautiful four-bed detached house in the countryside in Mobily. And I moved in there with Luca, and I was there for literally a couple of years, actually. But within the first couple of months of moving in, I upped my goals.

SPEAKER_01

And it was like And didn't you say you went from like you'd say you have a couple thousand pounds a month you wanted to take in, and you're like, I'm gonna make a hundred thousand pounds this month.

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

And it just started, and it actually every time you'd hit the target when you wrote it on this magic whiteboard.

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely, yeah. So if you want to buy your magic whiteboards, you should sell these. That's the next product coming out.

SPEAKER_01

Magic whiteboards to make all your wishes come true. The unicorn lady that sells these magic whiteboards. I love it. There you go. Oh, you go. And let's touch on manifestation because I know you just said it, you know, what you can think about, you can really bring about, and like and what we can conceive in our mind we can achieve. So, do you have um daily practices that you do, or have you got anything in particular that helps you manifest?

SPEAKER_02

Do you know what? I never used to really be that big on meditation, but I suppose in the last year I've really made time to just meditate, even if it's just like 10 minutes or 20 minutes, and really just focus on what it is that you want to achieve. I think a lot of us aren't clear. We just go about our day-to-day scatty a bit, yeah, like just reacting, you know, and just you know, but we're not really clear on what kind of life do you want to live? You know, we have this limited time here. How you know, be intentional with your goals and how you want to create, you know, so we are incredible creators. You know, Jim Carrey is always talking about this and his story of how he became so successful. He's like, we are incredible creators, we don't realize it. And I think a lot of the time we're focusing on our our mind on what we don't want. Yeah, this happens all the time. This relationship, pain in the bum, and what have you, or this is happening or da-da-da.

SPEAKER_01

And everything's happening to me, not for me. It's like that mentality of like, oh, why is this happening?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I don't want this, I don't want that, I'm not happy about this. Rather than really focusing our energy and our intention on what we do want. And I think a great way to bring yourself back to intentionally creating is to focusing on gratitude, first of all, and saying, okay, let's just take stock. What am I really grateful for right now? And the fact I'm alive and I'm having this human experience, you know, and I'm here to talk about this is uh is a blessing in itself.

SPEAKER_01

And no matter where you are, you can find gratitude. I mean, even if you know you go over to the east in Bali in Thailand, and there's even a beautiful, I remember traveling and like beautiful kids playing on the street, they haven't got much, like our maybe our children like iPads and all these things, but they're so happy in the moment, and it's like you can find gratitude of just looking at the sky and the beauty of the sun shining, not much in England, but you know, just the little things, the small things. Like I ran into someone at the shop today and they gave me a compliment. Or and I think kindness is really key because once you start to give out kindness and gratitude on your daily life, it like reflects back at you, doesn't it? It's like a mirror in a way.

SPEAKER_02

It really does, I think. You know, trying to keep in the high vibrations that frequency, isn't it?

SPEAKER_01

It's all about frequency, like frequency. And what I you know, what I think you're so good at is you're very good at listening and and encouraging people. So whenever you are around people, you're like, Yes, you can, you know, you can be your best version of yourself, and and you always think about others. So you're you know, every year, like your team goes out and gives to the homeless in Manchester, and you're always gifting things and caring for people. And I think because you stay in that frequency, and you know, even if something I know you've obviously had your challenges as well, um, but yeah, how do you stay in that frequency and your challenges? I know you've yeah, and I guess sometimes people look at us on an Instagram or our businesses and they think, gosh, they must have it easy. But we've definitely been through the challenges, haven't we?

SPEAKER_02

I think, yeah, it's always so easy, isn't it, to look at somebody online and think that their life is just so easy. Um I think one of our huge goals in life really is to master our mind and master our emotions and our energy. And what I mean by that is not letting outside influences affect you and looking for the lesson, which I know isn't easy, but you know, trying to keep your energy protecting your energy, let's say. So you can be feeling great, and then somebody else will, you know, put all of their negativity onto you or try to. And there's always those people out there, even online. There'll be those people trying to pull you down. Could be a troll, it could be someone that's you know, you've uh you know triggered, triggered or attracted, you know, and I see it now as lessons from the universe. You're like, okay, this lesson's coming through, you know. Thanks for having this week.

SPEAKER_01

I've had something this week, and I was like, I'm always when I speak to you, I'm like, yeah, just learn the lesson and then let it go. And if we can learn to just let it go faster, like failing faster as well is important. Just let things go and then move on to focus back in your on your life, your presence and your peace is so important, isn't it?

SPEAKER_02

I think that's just a lesson for us all, isn't it? Because I know it's not always easy, but if you sometimes just catch yourself and think, right, okay, just uh manage your state and try not to react, you know, straight away. Just manage your emotional state and think, okay, this has happened. Take a few deep breaths, you know, bring yourself back to your centre.

SPEAKER_01

Because sometimes in business it's hard because like an email come through, or I find it when I had in hospitality owned in the cafe, like a customer would be a bit funny, or a staff member. And actually, at first I'd be quite reactive straight away. Yeah, but actually I've learned through business just let it sit or settle with you for a day. So react straight away, think about it and sleep on it. Have a one-to-one then with that person, or and actually you might look at it from their perspective. Maybe they were having a really hard day.

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe they were triggered by something, and you know, it's not all about them trying to be negative towards you, it's just life can be ups and down for people sometimes. You just gotta think, yeah. I I listened to that. Um, do you watch that new Gordon Ramsay documentary? You should watch it, yeah, as well. It's so funny.

SPEAKER_02

But like he's got a great attitude.

SPEAKER_01

He said that attitude, like, you'll make mistakes in life, and or we'll have a bad day. And if you can just learn from it and then you know get back to it.

SPEAKER_02

And we're all humans, aren't we? And we, you know, there's a a million things that happen every week, and you know, everyone's you know, up and down, life isn't easy, and it is, it's just taking that into account, isn't it? And trying not to react when somebody is a little bit maybe off with you. Um, but yeah, it's it's a learning process in itself, isn't it? It's so much.

SPEAKER_01

And I wanted to touch a little bit more on AI just quickly because how do you feel like it's transforming business right now? And if you could give us any tips where people could actually use AI to help grow their businesses, if you don't mind.

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely. AI is transforming everything, isn't it? And I really think if you're not learning AI and leveraging AI, or at least, you know, not learning and leveraging it very soon in business, you probably will get left behind because, you know, as we've talked about, your competitors will be doing. And so even if just using it to make your life easier, you know, just to start off with, I mean, there's so many different types of AIs now as well, and they are advancing at such a fast speed. But I think using it in your business, we've transformed our business with AI. For example, we used to have, I think it was at least eight people on our customer support, and now we have a chat bot as the first point of contact. And then only if that can't answer that frequently asked question, will it come through to a human? So it's really leveraging it to help the business be more productive, to help you respond to customers as soon as possible faster.

SPEAKER_01

This is it, isn't it? It's all about automations. And I think it's so important, like these great apps, like even ManyChat, and they use a lot of AI now. You can just get things done quicker. Yeah. And actually, the importance as well is building a strong community. Because if you can use AI to get everyone on your database, like leverage, get their email addresses, because actually that's a lot of value in a business, isn't it? Do you find you really try and capture people's emails and get feedback from them? It's so important, isn't it?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah. Every data point. I think data is so important to analyze your business to find out what's working, what's not. As soon as someone completes a course with us, they get a feedback form. We love to know, you know, how have you found the course, where we can improve. And also we ask them, like, what other course subjects would you like to see? So we're constantly kind of crowdsourcing our course ideas. We don't just decide them on our own. We ask our customers, what would you like to learn next? And I think a lot of businesses don't always do this.

SPEAKER_01

I missed that point. I I need to do it more. Like your feedback forms are so important.

SPEAKER_02

Like, ask your customers what products and services would you like to see yours create for you? What are you struggling with right now? Yeah. Because if you can find out what your customers are struggling with right now, could you offer that solution? Remember, we've talked about how business is all about finding solutions to problems, and the best businesses find solutions to big problems, you know, that a lot of people have. So, you know, what business is.

SPEAKER_01

We always need to be like, yeah, getting a like listening to the customer, listening to your client and finding out who that is as well, who is your like social avatar, you know, who who you're targeting as well. So important. And I just you just said like two courses a week you're bringing out. I mean, how do you balance this with you know, with four children, like all the things you do? Because you do keep you're one of the most calm people I know as well, that you keep very level-headed in business and you invest in yourself. So you do self-care and meditation and you go on great, you know, you have a really good um values with being a mum as well, like you know, spending time with your children. So, how do you balance it all?

SPEAKER_02

I think it's been a learning journey, definitely, as it is for us all, especially when you're a mum running a business, you have four children. So, balance is really important so you don't get burnout and you don't get overwhelmed. So, I first of all, building a really good team. Yeah, either a team of freelancers or if you're going for an employee team. I think, as I say, teamwork makes the dream work. But I think if you can find really good people to work with, it makes your life so much easier and really will help you to scale your company. So I think that's really important. You can't do everything yourself. You can't. We need to learn to delegate, yeah. And learn to delegate and don't try and be a master of everything. You know, play to your strengths. And I always say, you know, you focus on what's going to move the needle the most. You, as the business owner, what is gonna move the needle the most? Why are you focusing on the admin when you could get a VA or someone to help you with that?

SPEAKER_01

So many people miss this trick. I think they spend them. Yeah, you need to focus on the real and have a little I listening to a podcast the other day, and they said have a little strategy meeting, even if you're just a solo team, like once a week, you can even get a mentor or someone to sit with or or literally use AI to brainstorm, but have half an hour where you just sit still. Someone said it's really good to sit still in peace and let the ideas come in because we're always so busy running around, like you say, doing the emails, doing all the tasks, and it's like you need to be the creative in your business to grow. Absolutely.

SPEAKER_02

That's why I love meditation as well. Um, and as I say, I used to find it difficult because I've got such a chatty mind, but really now I get to a place where I literally can just meditate and ideas kind of come through as well.

SPEAKER_01

I find that like with meditating and running or being out in nature, and it is interesting because they're like the top 1%, which you are in that category, but you know, of people say when they're these multi successful business owners that they do meditation daily, they do visualization, they manifest, they get out and do self-care every day and read a lot. And I know you read a lot.

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely, I think it's so important, you know, it's so important for you to have even a little bit of time just for yourself, you know, just to that's why I I mean I always do courses on my phone, and you know, we can just do a little module, but something that you're really interested in in your own personal development. Um Do you ever do your own courses then? Yeah, I do. I do, and sometimes it was so funny. I was researching something the other day, and it was all about the pineal gland and activation, and I was kind of going down the rabbit hole with it all, and and I was researching, and then AI suggested our pineal gland activation course. I didn't even realize we had that because we've got so many. I was like, why do you forget?

SPEAKER_01

Like, what have we got here?

SPEAKER_02

I started studying the course and I was like, wow, I love this. I might do that one. There you go. Fascinating.

SPEAKER_01

Everyone needs to go and check out all the courses on Center of Excellence. It's fascinating, all the ones you've got. Yeah. And like it's so powerful. And definitely look on Instagram and Facebook, you've got such a community. And I wanted to say, like, what do you think that really connects you with people wanting to stay part of the community? Like growing that online audience. Has it just been like because you listen to them, the feedback? What's been the main driver with that?

SPEAKER_02

I think one of the biggest things with our students is that we do really listen. So we have that feedback. Students can suggest courses, you know, can you create us a course on this? Or and we do listen, and we love it when a student will release a course and they'll say, I suggested that one, you know. And we also run our Centre of Excellence Awards every year, whereby anyone can enter and they can say how they've taken a course with us and gone on to change their life. And we have literally hundreds of video entries every year. I mean, it's really hard to choose the winners because they're all incredible, and there's some real, you know, videos that make you cry. It's just so emotional looking at how the transformation from so many different countries, you know, and you're like, wow, this isn't so good.

SPEAKER_01

Like, do you ever get those moments where you're like, oh my god, like I reflect, do you reflect a lot like on how much you've done? Yeah, really.

SPEAKER_02

Like sometimes I think if we're having, I mean, we've got over 7,000 five-star reviews on Trustpilot now, which it's incredible. And sometimes if we're having a bad day, I always say to our team members, you know, if ever you're feeling a bit off or you're having one of those days, go into our community group and just look at the posts. And I always say, look at how much of an impact you're making. Go and read the trust pilot reviews, read the fear of battle forms, because I'm always saying every single person on this team is making such an impact in our students' lives.

SPEAKER_01

That's what we've got to remember. Everybody, we forget sometimes why we're in business. Like I get, you know, have them days where I'm just 100 miles an hour. Like I'd say to you this morning with all the road works and all this, and then you feel like then you remember someone will leave a message and they'll be like, I you've had a lady that was down south that said she's just a single mom, she's become homeless, and yeah, she just started running some community events. She was staying at a friend's house. She said, I I got inspired by your networking groups to lead them down there. And I was like, Oh my god, like, how have you seen this? And she's just seen it through Instagram. Yeah, but like you never know who you're impacting. Like, someone's watching behind the scenes, even if you just have a few hundred followers and they're going, I could never do what she does, but they could, you know, you're inspiring those women and and men.

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely. It's really powerful. I think when you step up as well and you shine your light, you know, others see that and it does help them. And I think, you know, you do help to inspire others. I mean, you really help to inspire yourself. Well, I hope so. You do, you do. It's been incredible, you know, coming to your events and absolutely so many people's lives.

SPEAKER_01

And just you're like a mentor to me. So it means so much you've been there and sharing your wisdom. And then, like, I want to know how do you have this? Like, do you st do you feel like you have to work on yourself in any like have you shaped away any limiting beliefs? Because you always seem like you carry yourself so well, so confidently. Like, do you just choose to step into that powerful role?

SPEAKER_02

It's interesting, isn't it? I think when you're younger, you're more self-conscious. And I see it with my kids, you know, and you you see them, you know, how they behave and in front of them. Yeah, worrying what others think, and I think it's a big thing for women.

SPEAKER_01

Most people, I'd say 80% of people that come to my events say, like, I couldn't get on camera like you do. It's worrying, like, or or be the, you know, be very confident. And and it's like women need this support.

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely. I think it's the same for everybody, isn't it? It's public. How did you do it? I think the older I've got, um, you know, after having four babies as well, I think you you don't care as much about what people are thinking of when you've had four babies. Um, but I think the older you get as well, I think the more that you push yourself and challenge yourself.

SPEAKER_01

Challenge yourself. You show you can do anything once you I always say to this at my events, like just put yours put yourself in sorry, let me say it again. Um step out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself to do something you you wouldn't usually do because that helps you grow.

SPEAKER_02

When you, as you say, you know, do things that scare you, and you go and you stand up at like one of your networking events and you'll talk about your business that could have really scared you, but once you've done it, actually, it wasn't that bad. Um, yeah. So it's just doing things that you normally, you know, might have scared you. I remember my very first NLP course that I taught. Um, I had a business uh with an NLP trainer, and he was supposed to be teaching the course. And that particular day, everyone was turning up for the course, and he got a call because he used to work with um like young offenders, and there was a big situation, and he was like, they got a call, and he was like, I've got to go like now. And I was like, Where are you going? You can't go anywhere. So it's like people in that room that you're teaching like all week, and he was like, You'll have to do it. And I was like, But I'd sat in that many courses, he was like, You know the stuff, you sit in all the courses, and I was like, Yeah, but I can't do it yet. You're just gonna believe me something. And it was like a big push, and you know, he left and I was like calling him every name under the sun and I was like, Don't you dare leave me. And he went, and I was like, Oh my gosh, and I didn't do it because I had no training, everyone had paid, and I stood up there and I did it. And after the first day, I was like, I love that. I love it.

SPEAKER_01

And that feeling of like, I could do this, I could do this for myself as well.

SPEAKER_02

Well, they say fear is you know fictional evidence appearing real. A lot of it is this the things that we tell ourselves, you know, oh, I'm not good enough for this, or I couldn't do that. It's okay for you, you can do it.

SPEAKER_01

But and it's what society tells us, like all around us, these markers saying, you need to get this, you need to get Botox, or you need to get this injectable, or this or that. Like we need to be someone other than ourselves, thinner or more younger. And it's like, actually, no, it's fine just to be you and to step into your power and go, just sell I am good right now. I don't need to change my quality. I really that's what I always want to get across at Wildmart is you don't need to change too much. You've already got that power within. It's like like unleash your power within.

SPEAKER_02

It's very much absolutely, and I do think as well, the older you get, the more you realise that time is limited. And I kind of think, you know, if you've only got a certain amount of time here, what do you want to do with it? Why are you playing small? Because before you know it, we're all gonna be gone. Like, you know, we're unlimited time or borrow time, all of us. So, what do you want to do with your life? I know you, you know, when we get to the end of our life, do you want to look back and think, you know, oh, I played it safe. I just, you know, I was always too worried. And you've got this one life, you know, and it's unfortunately it's not really a long time. How fast are the days going at the minute? And you just think, do you know what? Just get out of your own way and just go for it. Believe in yourself. Because I always say, as well, if one person can do it, it's absolutely possible for anybody else. You can learn anything online now. YouTube, you know, courses, anyone can learn anything. We've never been in a better time for learning and becoming anything you want to be. You've just got to put the dedication in, put the time in.

SPEAKER_01

That's right like I think what you have is that strong mindset and belief that I can solve the problem and I can achieve what I put out in my mind. So everyone just needs to work on that, like do some inner work and really reach higher goals and go for it. Because you know, like Sara, you know, went from not having any money to you know what you say, two million pounds weeks or a month in lockdown. It's like, like, you know, if you've done it, then other people can do it. And there's always a way, isn't there?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you have to really it's always a way for anything. I mean, now with AI, even if you don't know the way, AI can help you. Exactly. There's all these youngsters now becoming millionaires just from understanding how to ask AI the right questions and becoming a really good prompter.

SPEAKER_01

I was just telling you about that 19-year-old literally just sold his business for like over a hundred million for creating so what you take on your phone, pictures of your food on your plate, it tells you what the macros are and all the grams and what's in it. And he sold it to my fitness pal.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And he's just walked away at 19. And it's like he's even though he was at college and he'd utilise AI and all the he never was an app developer, but he trained himself to be. And it just shows we all have that within us.

SPEAKER_02

Everybody does. Again, it's just believe in yourself, take action, be intentional. What is it that you want to achieve? I think first of all, a lot of us don't know what we want to achieve. So, how do you expect to get there if you don't know what it is that you're after? You're like be super clear, like super clear. So it's setting goals, and I think this all ties into manifesting as well and the law of attraction. If if the universe is responding to us based on the law of attraction, you can have anything you want. How will you get it if you're not clear what you want? So it's writing that out, even if you set yourself five goals, yeah, you know, of how you want to either live your life on a day-to-day basis, what do you want to be doing with your time.

SPEAKER_01

And it's also just looking up and be open to opportunities because like synchronicity can happen when you get up off your phone, you're in a coffee shop or something, and you look around. What's the opportunity here? You might be sat next to your next business mentor or your new best friend or business partner, and actually just talking to people. I always say the best, most successful people ask questions all the time. And you know, that's something I do in business. I'm I know that I don't know everything, so I have to always ask and grow. And there's and just starting to look at life like I life is happening for me, not to me. It's like very I'm open to opportunities and they're flowing at the moment. Like we've just been invited to a health retreat, haven't we?

SPEAKER_02

Yes, all like very exciting, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

PR stay, like yeah, and and then now we've got an opportunity to create a retreat together, which we'll be sharing more info after this podcast. But we can't wait. Like these opportunities are starting to fall into my lap now because and yours, because you're open to receive.

SPEAKER_02

I think it's the more you show up, isn't it? The more that you show up for your goals and your intentional and what it is I want to achieve, and you just keep going. I think it's just not giving up. Even we all have days when we don't want to get out of bed. I just want to do, Vay, Dave. I've got so much work to do. You've just got to keep showing up, keep going, keep working on your own.

SPEAKER_01

Hold yourself accountable as well. Like just go for it, you know.

SPEAKER_02

Even just step by step, even just little steps, you know, but always just believe in yourself because there's nobody out there who's better than you. They've just invested the time in learning. You can learn anything, you can, you know, change your life. I mean, my situation, you know, it's complete when I look back and I think, wow, my life has completely changed.

SPEAKER_01

You're such an inspiration, and thank you for being here today. I really enjoyed our conversation. And I usually end with a quick fire just questions, if you don't mind. I've not warned you about this. We're just going free-flow with it. But um, is there any self-care ritual you swear by every day?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, every day. So self-care ritual. Um, I do I do like positive affirmations. So I do stick them on my mirror as well. My goals and things. So it's always in my mind, you know, and I do like to just have some little positive affirmations that I tell myself that I can, you know, do anything, I can achieve anything. But I think wellness tips as well. I mean, I love um I love going out for a long walk. I do try and, you know, have a couple of workouts and what, you know, throughout the week. I think just really taking care of yourself and doing what works for you, be that going out for a long walk, having a nice bath, I like to do even just a module of a course in the bath.

SPEAKER_01

I love baths. Honestly, well, I think it resets your frequency, like your energy, like it kind of gets rid of any negativity from the day. That's my mum used to say anyway. It's like it sets you off on the ground.

SPEAKER_02

Even like my sage, just sage the room. I get the kids in bed, and I'm like, okay. And I like to just do like on my phone, just a little module of a course, something I'm really interested in, or read a chapter of a book, and just have that time. I think even just trying not to look at your phone, yeah, you know, just turn it off or just put it on silent and have that time where we're not just reacting to messages and beeps and things that come through and just really focusing on your time and your growth.

SPEAKER_01

And the next question it leads in well, is have you got a favourite book or podcast you like at the moment?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I always love the diary of a CEO. Yeah, you know, I love listening to his podcasts. Um, I actually love audiobooks. Yeah, me too. I so when I'm getting ready in the morning, I do like to listen to um, you know, just a chapter of an audiobook, or even if I'm in the car driving a long journey, I always have a really good uh selection, but it can be very varied, to be honest. Um yeah, I love all sorts of audiobooks.

SPEAKER_01

And then finally, have you got a lasting legacy you want to leave behind? I know this is a very big question, but like for your children and years to come, what do you want your legacy to be?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, it's a good question. I mean, I really do want to fulfil our mission of positively impacting a billion people worldwide with centre of excellence, and even if you know that means the children continuing the brand. I mean, the great thing is that the brand isn't just about online courses, centre of excellence, it's all mind, body, spirit, and I think it's something that we're always going to need, you know, um support and growth, even with consciousness and everything's changing, isn't it?

SPEAKER_01

And we need to rise together, like with all the things, the negative stuff that's going on in the world and the war, like this is so important that we all rise and learn more about our spirituality and mental state, and the fact that you're facilitating that is so powerful because the more people can learn these things, it's like breath work and yoga, and I always say that we're gonna bring a powerful consciousness to the world as well.

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely. I think it's all you know, people empowering themselves and stepping into their power, believing in themselves and raising their vibration, and collectively we're raising the vibration and the consciousness of the planet, creating this new earth. It would be beautiful, wouldn't it? I always, when I meditate, I always envisage bringing forward kind of heaven on earth for us all, and just you know, peace and harmony. I always meditate. I always say that peace and harmony for us all.

SPEAKER_01

I say that before I go to bed. I go, I have a little garnesh, and I'm like peace, harmony, and love. And I just like recite that, isn't it interesting?

SPEAKER_02

Like it's just I just want harmony in life, in balance, and sending it into you know, when I do the meditation, and this is it, everything is frequency. Love is the highest vibration, and when you meditate on love, and I always say, I am love, I'm kindness, I am peace, I'm harmony, and I literally go into the most incredible altered states of consciousness, and I believe we can all you know to have such a big effect on you know collective consciousness and bring forward.

SPEAKER_01

Like when you do when we're all breathing right here, right now, nine billion people are breathing with us. Yes, like there's a oneness. We all just need to tap into that peace at our core. Like we all have it, we've just built layers like the onion and we're alive.

SPEAKER_02

I believe we're all connected, and I think the separation, you know, I think we're all connected and we're all from the same place, and we just need to realize that and have a more peaceful, harmonious life together.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I hope you can feel our positive frequency. energy coming to you. Positive vibes. Thank you for being here today.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you so much for having me. It's been wonderful.

unknown

Thank you, Sorry.
