SPEAKER_05

Let's do it.

SPEAKER_00

Rock and roll.

SPEAKER_04

All right. Before we get into talking tickets, as always, our sponsor, Last Rep, is sponsoring this segment, Talking Tickets. Look, we all know the grind isn't just a buzzword. Whether you're hitting the gym or sweating a parlay until the West Coast games wrap up, your body takes the hit. That's why we've partnered with LastRep, the world's first athletic recovery cocktail. It's a crisp, refreshing, hemp-drive THC athletic recovery beverage designed specifically to help you dial it back, recover, and get ready for the next round. However, here's the best part. As a casual chaos listener, you can grab yours with 20% off using code chaos at trilastrep.com rather um trilastrep.com. That's code chaos ch A-O-S for 20% off at trilastrep.com. Not a tongue twister, but twisted my tongue up. Again, thank you to lastrep. Got the lime, got the orange, the new orange flavor. It's fantastic. Try it out. Online. Buy it today. Yes, sir. And you can use the money that you get from winning bets. Just like our friend One Buck Ant. One Buck Ant. Riding the Rays. One of the hottest teams in baseball. If not the hottest team in baseball, wrote him yesterday. They picked up another W. He had a money line. 111 to win a hundred bucks. Take the victory. Or lay that into some last rep recovery cocktails. One buck ant. Good win there, buddy. Tough one here. We had Rain Man. Rain Man had the Las Vegas Golden Knights to win the game against the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. Yes, they're the Mighty Ducks. They did pick up that victory. Unfortunately, Nas Reed um did not pick up a double double. He had a single double, which uh doesn't get you anything except for a full belly at Wendy's. So Nas Reed does not help our friend Rainman out, unfortunately. And then uh Rain Man decided, let me just throw a little three home run parlay together here with Yandi Diaz, Ellie De La Cruz, and Wilmer uh Abreu. Um all three of those gentlemen said, screw you, Rain Man, we will not hit home runs today. Um flush that $25 down the toilet. Um, unfortunately. You take a swing though, you hope for the best. Keep on swinging. Rainman. Rain Man decided I'm just gonna throw everything with the kitchen sink at it. Um Yusuf Newgarden, I believe in Indycar Racer, and I believe he's betting this for the Indy 500. We'll have to get confirmation on that from Rain Man um before the event. Um it looks like it's for May 17th, which I think is that Indy car Indy 500 is this weekend. So I believe that is correct. If not, it's the race before. So he's he's riding with Youssef Newgarden. So uh this might be free advice here. Um not a tout show, but if someone's throwing a random uh indie car racer at you, you probably should just take it because you don't watch it and you never know what somebody knows. Um so Yousef Newgarden, we're pulling for you. Just like Randy.

SPEAKER_01

That's what I'm I gotta know where he's getting this shit. I mean, they're I know they're in Kansas City. Um they're at a casino in Kansas City or not casino, they're at in Kansas City for work. They were at a casino last night. And uh he's sending pictures of his tickets and stuff like that. And there's gotta be somebody sitting there at the fucking sports book giving him these picks because I'm not knocking it. I'll probably throw, you know, 20 bucks on it, but he has no fucking clue who this guy is.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I mean, unless you stuff Newgarden dad is sitting next to you, I don't think that's well that that that's not for it.

SPEAKER_00

If the race itself is scheduled for the 17th, it's not the 500, because that is on Sunday the 24th. So it could be a prelim race this weekend.

SPEAKER_04

Yes, so it looks like it's day two of the hundred and tenth Indianapolis 500 PPG presented presents armed forces qualifying, so it's a qualifying race of some sort. Um makes it even more peculiar. Yeah. So he's gotta know something. Uh this might be some inside baseball. I don't know. We might even get in trouble for announcing it. But hey, we'll ride with Rain Man. He's always been good to us. So we'll ride with it. And then lastly, uh again, our very own Jay Ash. I believe this is a Sunday baseball parlay. Uh Jay Ash has been throwing some good stuff in that in that Discord guy. He's been hot. He's been hot, kids been hot. He had the Oklahoma City Thunder having a sweep. That wasn't necessarily even close until game four. So um this one he had um the Marlins, um he had the Rays, he had the Phillies, uh White Sox, and Pirates?

SPEAKER_01

Okay, yeah, Pittsburgh, I think.

SPEAKER_04

Or the over in the Pittsburgh uh Giants game, over eight runs um in that game. So he had a couple different things going on with Sunday baseball. Um $10 bet paid out 266, so great winner. Great winner uh there for Jay Ash. And that's that's gonna do it for talking tickets again. Thank you to LastRep. Try lastrep.com C O M using code Chaos, 20% off. Thank you, LastRep.

SPEAKER_00

Use that code, everybody. It's uh it's not a one and done code, so you can use it at your leisure. 20% off is a hell of a deal, and it's a great taste and drink.

SPEAKER_05

Yes, it is. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Indeed.

SPEAKER_05

Well, well done on that parlay, Ash. That's a nice one.

SPEAKER_00

Very nice. Thank you. Sun Sundays are for parlays. It's a little bit of uh a little bit of skill, a little bit of luck. That's what you need when it comes to parlays.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, especially what was that five five legs, right? Five legs, that one.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, it was.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Never easy never easy.

SPEAKER_00

No, I should start adding zeros, but we know what happens when I do.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. All right. All right, so let's let's let's jump in here. Um let's just uh sort of take stock of the NBA. Um we got four well, we got two series going on currently because two of them are already over. Um no shock that OKC ran through the Lakers and a little bit of shock that the Knicks swept uh the Sixers. Um I think most people thought the Knicks would win that series, but I don't know if people thought they were gonna win in four. Um out of the four of us, Ash was the only one that had the 76ers winning that series. Um so the Knicks uh stuck up a middle finger to you there, Jay. But uh, we got the Cavs and the Pistons playing a very strange series. Um I was the only one to take the Cavs to win that series. Uh not that I felt good about it, but I just sort of had a feeling that Mitchell was gonna go off a couple of games, and he finally did um uh on what on Monday night. So we'll see what happened tonight back in uh Detroit. Um any any thoughts on that series? I mean, at least it's competitive, but very strange series so far.

SPEAKER_01

I'll let you go, Bubba. No, I mean it's it this game is a it is a huge game. I mean, game five, whoever wins this game is in the driver's seat. And I mean they're trading threes right now. I'm watching I got the game on in front of me, and uh Cunningham looks like he's he's hot tonight. So um I took Detroit in this game five, and I'm taking Detroit to to uh win the series. So that's that's my take on it.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I mean so far the home team has won every game, so we'll see if that uh continues tonight.

SPEAKER_01

Um I think they're the favorite to win win the series, right?

SPEAKER_05

I mean I think they're yeah, they they were coming in, yeah, definitely. And and they would have favored tonight too. Um any thoughts, Dash?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, not much different than what you know it's kind of Captain Obvious, right? We're we're game five, no team has lost um at home yet, and they say series don't start until that happens. So this does feel like it could go seven. I do think Detroit wins uh tonight, so we'll see if they can close out. But um I I just think they're a better team overall, so it's it's not a shock. They are the favorite to win. Um we'll see if Mitchell and Harden can overcome whatever their well, however you feel about their playoff demons. Um But I I wouldn't be shocked if if Detroit wins next two, and game seven will be uh uh uh uh sphincter tightener for all involved. So I I actually don't want to see it go seven because I don't want to watch that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I gotta ask you, I gotta ask you guys, because I know you were big on obviously the the winner coming out of the West, but I mean, are you guys just as confident now as you were before? Probably more confident, right? After some of these teams are have been knocked out, uh the Celtics and and some others.

SPEAKER_05

No, I think the Knicks are opening some people's eyes, but to answer your question, no, I would still pick the Spurs or Thunder over them if you know if the Knicks were to get that far.

SPEAKER_01

So make yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Um but hey, look, the Knicks are just pounding people right now on your last four or five people. Yeah, I mean you're crushing teams. So gotta give them credit, you know. And then the other series. Um, go ahead, Jeff. Go ahead.

SPEAKER_00

No, just to double dot on what Bubba just said. I I don't the the Knicks are definitely capable, the the Knicks should get there. Um, I don't know, it's it could be a good series with Detroit. Um I I I've talked to a couple Knicks fans that are hardcore Knicks fans and they're kind of under the impression getting to the finals is gonna be great. No one's beating OKC. So the there is a chance that San Antonio can beat OKC. I just don't think the Knicks are are gonna beat whoever comes out of the West.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I think to your point, I think they've got a better chance against the Spurs than they do OKC. So if that does happen, that's in your favorite.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know who's guarding win.

SPEAKER_05

Don't don't yeah, don't be don't be so sure about that, man. The Spurs are legit.

SPEAKER_01

So um and by the way, that series isn't over either.

SPEAKER_05

No, it it's not, but uh it's close. It's it's it's close to being over. Um by the way, Detroit has owned the Knicks this year. Not that that necessarily means anything, but Detroit has beat the Knicks up uh in their matchups so far this season. So it'll uh uh Detroit's not playing great basketball right now, though. So like I said, that might not mean anything. But let's get to that uh that uh Spurs uh Timberwolves series. Um you know, Bubba, I think the series would be over if Wemby didn't get kicked out of the game uh a couple nights ago. I I think the Spurs would have won that game. Um but they didn't. So but but they won, you know, they won game five, which was huge. So they're up 3-2 now. All they gotta do is win one game. I'm uh I'm hoping they close it out in six. I I'd really you know I'd really like to see the Spurs. I mean, they're a very young team. They don't really have like that grizzled veteran on the team who's gone through the wars, you know. So I'll be impressed if they could go into Minnesota uh Friday night because they're they're off tomorrow. If they could go into Minnesota Friday night and get that win, that would be very impressive to me.

SPEAKER_01

So yeah, I I agree with that. It's just crazy that that spread's only four and a half. I would think that that'd be a little larger, but I guess Well, it is it is in Minnesota, though, you know. Yeah, so that's true. That's true.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but you said Wemby's an animal, man. Wemby's an animal. That's for sure. When he's not the only one. Well, when he's playing, though, it's just it's a different game for them.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, no, of course. I mean, there's I mean, again, we were talking about it before we started recording. I mean, teams are are beating the crap out of him. Um, it'll be interesting to see if he puts on some weight next season, because I think he's realizing he he can't play at the weight he's at right now. Um because they are they are everybody's just being really physical with them, and and and it's not going to get any easier with OKC if if they end up winning the series. But uh I mean the Spurs, the Spurs are um Um very capable of beating OKC. Uh they built a team that you know just matches OKC uh extremely well. Um that's why they won four out of five in the regular season. Those weren't flukes. And trust me, uh OK, you know, OKC was trying to win a couple of those games, and they still got you know boat raced in them. So I'm really looking, I'm really hoping though that those uh two teams meet up. Um we'll see what happens. Yeah, yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I mean, it you know, I I'm sure a lot of people will call that the real championship. I never believe in that shit, but you know, it'll it'll certainly uh have people's attention, I would think anyway. Although who knows, San Antonio OKC might not be the best rating, the best ratings grab in the world, you know. But uh but anyway. All right, so that's that's the NBA. Um, you know, next week uh we'll be uh into the uh conference championships. So uh we'll probably have a little bit more to talk about. Uh but uh uh Tyler, what's uh what's going on in the NHL? Educate us.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, NHL is uh similar to what it was last week. Um, you know, the Avalanche took a commanding 3-1 lead. They're down right now um to the wild at home, so that would be the wild forcing game six back at home, um, which would be big. Um I I think the Avalanche will take care of business then. Oh no, and get it.

SPEAKER_01

Mitchell just went down. Sorry, Tyler. Oh, you're good. Mitchell just went down. I think he he's hurting.

SPEAKER_00

He's not getting up.

SPEAKER_04

Well, that's that serious then. Now it's just James Harden. That's not good. Yeah, that just wraps that series up in a blanket.

SPEAKER_01

Sorry, I saw him go down holding his knee. I was like, that's we got some time to talk about hockey, but that's pretty serious. Oh shit. Yeah. Alright. That sucks.

SPEAKER_04

That sucks. Tyler, are they missed the whole season next year, probably, if it's anything serious.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, it's it's his it's his ankle. It's his ankle.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. So yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Tyler, are the Canadians still a favorite to win it?

unknown

Or not?

SPEAKER_04

Avalanche have been the favorite. Avalanche have been the favorite. Um, they're still uh um no, I would say I would say you're still looking at um I I think the Hurricanes have probably taken that out of the East now. Um they haven't lost a game in the playoffs. They're the only team that haven't lost. They're they're pulling the the Thunder Um in the hockey. Uh they're 4-0 um in both swept them both series. So uh they're probably the favorite now. Now excuse me, tomorrow night. Um it's a huge game in Buffalo. Buffalo win the game the other night um off of fluky goal to tie it um by Tage Thompson. Um Buffalo's gonna be absolutely rocking. Yeah, there you go. I was gonna say he's I was gonna say American hockey uh gold medalist, but um yeah, so it tied 2-2 in that series. Um going back to Buffalo, I'm sure that city and town will be absolutely buzzing um for that game. Um huge game uh as the Canadians are trying to force to win it to to win it at home, potentially in game six on um Saturday. Um and then you have another big one on tomorrow night with the Ducks and Golden Knights. Golden Knights um up 3-2 in that series, um looking to close out the Ducks who had the highest odds to win or the worst odds to win the um Stanley Cup at the beginning of the playoffs, and they're at home for game six, hopefully forcing uh game seven um on Saturday as well. So um you know the the Hurricanes are playing really good hockey. I said it last week. Um they're playing really good. The Avalanche are just they have so many dogs on that team and so many guys that it's hard not to just say they're gonna run through whoever they play, but the wild are giving them issues um right now, so anything can happen. If the wild come out of nowhere and win that series, obviously it opens things up. You'll see the hurricanes be the favorite for sure. Um at that point, and then um have some opportunities for some people to probably jump on some money if if the Avalanche aren't you know you know beyond the the Western Comics Finals. So we'll see. Uh things get interesting quick if if the wild can win two to force game seven and and if the ducks can force a game seven tomorrow. So it look forward to that.

SPEAKER_01

Anybody but the Canadians.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean I I I I love the Hurricanes. Um they're playing great. So they're they're fun to watch. They're just kind of all up in your face. Um as are the Avalanche are just more skilled. Um the Avalanche are just more skilled. So we'll see what happens. Um get definitely opportunities to win some money out there from the gambling perspective. Um again, especially if the Avalanche don't win that series.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

That's kind of hockey right now.

SPEAKER_01

You guys know I'm not that big into hockey, but I I um I love when Canadians Canadian teams do not win the Stanley Cup, because then we could say, you know, you've been happy for a long time then, Bubba.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

America's game, clearly.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it's always been. It's always been. Uh there was a fun stat I saw, so if you are a gambler, I wish I would have picked up on this earlier, actually, pertaining to hockey. Um The Avalanche have won three Stanley Cups, and each one of those years, a Toy Story movie from the Toy Story franchise has come out and debuted. Um there is a Toy Story movie coming out in June. Um, so if you're just a wacky world better, you were probably on that a lot earlier than I'm telling you now, because they're about to be in the Western Comic Final, but um just a weird coincidence that there's been, you know, five or six movies and this would be their fourth time winning a Stanley Cup in the same years. Just a weird, weird, weird, weird, weird world we live in. Insane. That's a good call out. Or you can. I guess maybe just ask put in the future, ask Disney when their next Toy Story movie's coming out, and then just put in the future now.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Collusion. Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_05

Um Okay, let's uh shift over to baseball. We're gonna do it a little bit different today, though. Um won't give you a state of the union as far as baseball goes, other than the fact that the Rays are on fire, like we talked about earlier. Um but I wanted to just throw some odds at you guys. Before I get there, though, I just thought it was strange. Um I I you guys have heard me uh in our group text. I mean, I've mentioned to you a couple of times that there's a lot of big names struggling this year. And I actually saw this that yeah, I saw this that yesterday afternoon, so this is before yesterday's games. Um but uh so let me uh WRC plus a stat maybe you're not familiar with. Um easiest explanation is that it's just a stat that tracks uh runs per plate appearance, okay? And it's lead it's league and park adjusted, okay. So it doesn't matter if you play in Yankee Stadium or you play uh, you know, uh in Citizens Bank Park or whatever, the this the mathematics like sort of evens all that shit out, you know. Uh a hundred is considered an average player. Uh this year Bichette for the Mets is at sixty one Raleigh for Uh Seattle coming off of his 60 home run year is at 62. Uh Marte at Arizona's at 78. Tatis Jr.'s at 79. So I mean, again, these guys are all considerably under an average player a quarter of the way through the season. Um matter of fact, Bichette, Raleigh, and Marte, they're on base percentages like all they're all like at 270. I mean, they're having awful seasons. Um, it's really strange. And even Otani, um Otani's at 114, or at least he again he was a couple of days ago. 114 is at least above average, but for him, that's that's that's a rough year at the plate so far. So it'll be interesting to see if they yeah, I mean, because like the best players, I mean, like Judge is at like you know 189. Um, you know, uh Alvarez for the Astros is like 184, you know, so that's where the best players are at. These guys are in the some of these guys are in the 60s. I mean, that's that's that's crazy.

SPEAKER_01

I just wonder if those guys are gonna continue to struggle where they revert back to the mean and and get above that threshold. And like, yeah, if if Cal if Cal Riley hits, you know, 25 homers this year, it's not 60, but it's still a good year for a catcher. It's just like it's hard to repeat that, you know. So I you gotta give him a little bit of credit, but he definitely struggling, no doubt, about it.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I mean he's back in like 165 Bubba at the moment. No, yeah, I know it's brutal. It's brutal. Yeah, it's not good. He's he's he's having a rough year. Um anyway.

SPEAKER_00

If there was only a guy that hit 50 home runs in four consecutive years, I mean that'd be weird.

SPEAKER_05

Well, he's on his way. So uh speaking of that, um so the one thing we didn't do in our MLB preview this year is sort of uh take a stab at awards, um, other than uh a couple of you guys when we did our uh our lock uh dog and prop of the year, a couple of you guys uh did pick some baseball stuff. But for the most part, we didn't really uh give a pod uh answer when it came to awards. So let me just run through a few of these. Um this is all these odds are from FanDuel. Um it was the only site that I could find all of these on, so I just I just stuck with FanDuel. Um as far as who's going to lead baseball in home runs. Uh this was actually something that Ashen picked uh for his uh lock of the year. Um before the season started, Judge was at plus 200. Right now he's at minus 105. Uh Schwarber's at plus 220, Matt Olsen is at plus 800, um uh Murakami from the White Sox at plus 1200, uh Alvarez plus 1300, James Woods plus 2,000, Buxton plus 3,300, Ben Rice plus 3,500, Max Muncie plus 4,000, Mike Trout plus 5,500. So if you guys had to pick one of those right now, and again, Ash, remember you you already have 100 on Judge at plus 200, but if you had to pick one of those right now, who would you pick to lead the beat league baseball on home runs?

SPEAKER_00

Aaron Judge. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

I'll go shortly. So you give the Mike Yeah, plus 220.

SPEAKER_01

I I'll take the kid from the White Sox and I'll take uh I'll take Alvarez.

SPEAKER_05

He's got 50.

SPEAKER_01

I mean I yeah, I'll take that.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I'm curious to see if he uh once once uh once he starts playing teams multiple times, it'll be interesting to see if they get a book on him, you know. So um I'm curious to see what happens there. And the only thing with Alvarez for from Houston is he he doesn't usually play a full year. He's another one of these guys that seems to get hurt, you know, every year. So it'll be playing right now.

SPEAKER_01

I could I I could see him you know being hurt, quote unquote, and just being like, I'm not fucking doing this anymore.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Um and Tyler, you said Schwarber at plus 220. I could I could see that.

SPEAKER_04

I just like Schwarber. I think he's a he seems like a cool dude. Yeah, he's got anything.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Oh yeah, he's got 17 now, so he's on fire right now. Um uh by the way, if you're curious, uh, you know, because Otani's hit over 50 the past two years, right now he's at seven. You could get him at plus seventeen thousand five hundred if you're expecting him to get on a hot to lead to lead the league.

SPEAKER_04

I wonder what he has to hit fifty now.

SPEAKER_05

Um yeah, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

I think you just gotta put uh 50 or 100 on that just because like he could he could go on a streak where he had seven in a week.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, that's that's a lot of catch up though, dude.

SPEAKER_05

12.

SPEAKER_01

No, I know. I yeah, we'll see.

SPEAKER_05

Hey, it's out there, Bubba. Feel free to jump on it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, no doubt.

SPEAKER_05

All right, AL MVP. Uh Judge is at minus 130, Alvarez is plus 400, Bobby Wood Jr. at plus 500, Bobby Wood's having a nice year. Um Ben Rice is at plus 2200, which is kind of crazy because I'm sure he was probably like plus 20,000 when the season started. Um Trout's at plus 2500. Uh uh one of your boys, Camanero, is at plus 3,000, Bubba. Uh Rodriguez from Seattle's plus 3,500. Nick Kurtz from Atlanta is plus 4,000. Jose Ramirez, um, a guy who's always in like the top four but never wins, plus 4,500, and Vlad. Uh before the season started, Bubba, you picked Vlad. He was at plus 1,400. Now he's at plus 5,000. So he's having a pretty good year, too. So I'm surprised his his odds uh are that high. But uh who are you picking based on those odds? Again, from FanDuel, by the way.

SPEAKER_01

It's just like barring injury, Aaron Judge is the MVP. There's no there's nothing you can fucking there's nothing you can do. Like the you get if you if you don't want to make 105 bucks on your hundred bucks and you want to try to hit it big with somebody else, but it you might as well just fucking take it outside and throw it in the garbage. Tonight's garbage night here in my neighborhood, so but it unless he gets hurt, I don't see anybody anybody winning the MVP. And it's and the and the Yankees are having a good year, too, so it even adds to the case. Like Alvarez is plus four four four hundred, four fifty. They're gonna finish in fucking last place. He has no chance of winning MVP.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, man, you might be right. I mean, sometimes nowadays I think the the younger the younger voters don't necessarily pay attention to winning as much as the older guys used to, but you're probably not wrong. Um I I mean Judge Judge isn't even Yeah, I mean he's not even having a good year yet for him, and he's still like at the top of the board in almost every category. So it's uh just like we were talking about Otani, I'm I'm just waiting for him to go on one of his patented hot streaks and then you know look out. But uh um I would probably if I was gonna take anybody besides Judge, I would probably take Bobby Wood Jr. at plus 500. That's probably where I would go in that one.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Lot of young guy like that one.

SPEAKER_00

Well, that makes sense too, because they're gonna be, you know, that the central division is kind of dog shit. And you know, it's gonna be a 500 team that wins it. It's gonna be, you know, what everybody's paying attention to in September, because you're gonna have three teams probably separated by a couple games. And if he pulls it out and they make the playoffs, and you know, god forbid a judge injury or something along those lines, he could definitely steal it. Um the bet rice number is actually enticing, except he plays on the team of Aaron Judge. So to Bubba's point, if the Yankees, if the Yankees run the table and judge is having a judge year, you're not you're not gonna leapfrog your your teammate there. So hopefully everybody stays healthy. Um it's probably too early in the in the podcast season to start the Vlad uh debate and discussion. Yeah, yeah. But I mean if we're if we are trying to get views and Discord going, um stop me if you've heard this before. I don't like Vlad. So um I'm not I'm not shocked at the regression. Obviously, there's plenty of time, but the Blue Jays don't, you know, I I I said it in our preview. I didn't think the Blue Jays were gonna make the playoffs. I stand by that, and you know, it they're gonna they're gonna go as he goes.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah, I agree with that.

SPEAKER_05

I I mean he is having a pretty good year, though. His po the power numbers aren't there, but I mean I think he's hitting like 320 or something like that. I mean, he's having a decent year. So anyway. Um all right, NL NL MVP. Uh Otani's at minus 320, which is kind of surprises me. I mean, I know he's having a good year pitching wise, but like we just talked about, he's not really hitting the ball. So he's at minus 320. Uh Matt Olson at plus 750. Um he'd be my pick, by the way. Um uh Schwarber's at plus 1800. That's that's uh pretty good uh that's pretty good odds for him. Bryce Harper at plus 2,000, LE De La Cruz at plus 2700, Corbin Kiro with Arizona plus 3,500, Soto with the Mets plus 3,500.

unknown

Soda.

SPEAKER_05

James Wood plus 4,000, uh break Baldwin plus 5,000. Soto's having a really good year. Um and Akuna Jr. at plus 6,000. So by the way, Skeens is at plus 6,500 if you're if you're in if you're curious for NLM VP.

SPEAKER_04

I was gonna I was gonna say Paul Skeens would be my pick just in case he just goes off again or keeps keeps pitching well.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Um he's having another great year, as as we all know. Um, you know, it's interesting. I saw something that talked about how he kind of changed his road his his wind up. Like he's he's releasing the ball from a higher point than he has in the past. That actually worries me a little bit. Uh I mean I guess if he's doing it on purpose, then I uh it's okay. But if that's just happening sort of accidentally, it it worries me that his you know he's not pitching the same way he has over the past few seasons. But anyway, that's I dig I digress. So like I said, if I was gonna pick somebody, I'd probably pick Olson with the Braves at plus 750. Uh what do you what do you guys got?

SPEAKER_01

I'm taking Olson at seven and a half to one for sure. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it makes sense, especially if you figure or if you think Atlanta's gonna hold on and win the East. So I mean we got a long way to go. We know that it's a long season, a lot can change, and injuries and everything that goes along with it. Um it's more about you know, it's an elimination thing. Do you want to go deeper than you know 10 to 1? Um to your point, Soto's having a good year, and that team has the same record as the Rockies. You know what I mean? So, you know, he could he could put up MVP like numbers, but if you're battling for the you know top three worst uh winning percentages in in baseball, you're not gonna win the MVP. You'd have to do something never done before, and he's not gonna get there.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, if you if you're gonna win the MVP on a bad team, it's it's gotta be your numbers have to be just so much better than everybody else's. And that that just that won't be the case, you know.

SPEAKER_00

So he he would actually have to start being a closer too and and come out of it with 15 saves. You know what I mean? Like that's about it.

SPEAKER_04

All 15 of their wins, he's also the save guy.

SPEAKER_00

Right, right. Uh the monster.

SPEAKER_05

Tyler, you said that you would if you were gonna throw something on it, you'd you'd go with skeins, yeah. You're picked.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I just I I think I had him at some of my bets or earlier in the season as well. I just think he's he's special carry on the the change in his um motion or the way he's throwing. Not not getting as many strikeouts. So I think my one of my bets was like in the league league and strikeouts, and he's he's a little behind right now. Obviously, just depending on who gets hurt in that in that world. It's definitely you can go on some runs where you have some good days. Um obviously if he stays healthy, I think it's just whether the pirates are at all worth a fuck with. Um I think is probably um where they are right now understanding their I mean they're playing the stack division, right? So they're they're in the second line in the third division, but they got a better record than you know the Dodgers almost. So it's crazy. Um there and like where he's part of the third of their victories from the mound. He got twenty-three wins and he has six. So he's he's almost you know right there at a third of their wins, which is kind of crazy.

SPEAKER_05

Well, closer closer to a quarter, but okay.

SPEAKER_04

We're in the ballpark, yeah. Seven would be pretty close to a third.

SPEAKER_05

That's true. Um by the way, you had uh Kuna at plus twelve hundred um in our MLB preview, and he's uh as I mentioned, he's at plus six thousand now. So um yeah, he's his his odds jump considerably. Um speaking of Skeens, uh NL Psy, Skeens is at plus one forty-five. Um Christopher Sanchez with the Phillies is at plus three ninety. He's having a nice year. Chris Sale, plus six hundred, otani is at plus eight fifty. Uh, I'm surprised he's you know not one of the true favorites considering the year he's having. Um my guess is it's because he's just not pitch as pitching as much as these other guys. Um Dodgers are basically rolling out six-man rotation right now, so his innings are down. But um Jacob Mizarowski, Mr. 102 miles per hour, is at plus 1500. Um he's pitching tonight, by the way. And I I don't know, uh I know he started the game off well. I don't know if if the Bruce are still winning. Uh Chase Burns plus 1600. Yamamoto plus 2,000. Before the season started, he was plus 500. So again, a lot of these, a lot of the odds for these guys are jumping. Uh Nolan McLean for the Mets plus 2,000. Uh uh Eminaga with the Cubs plus 2,500, and Mason Miller, the reliever for San Diego, plus 4,000. So um uh getting schemes at plus odds, I'd be all over that. So that that'd be my pick. Plus 145 for schemes.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm I'm riding with you on that, Jeff. Like I said, barring injury, he's and the pirates seem to be winning games when he's pitching, as opposed to historically not, you know. So um I like him to win it. Plus odds, I'll take that all day.

SPEAKER_05

And this would be his third in a row or s I mean, I know he won last year. Did he win the year before that too?

SPEAKER_01

I I don't know if he won it as a rookie.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, so I don't think he pitched enough to get there. No, yeah, probably good numbers. I don't know if he really threw enough innings. I'm looking it up now, though.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I know Scoobyl won two the last two, but you're you're probably right. I don't think I don't think Steens won his rookie year. So I'm trying to think who did.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, he just got one Cy Young.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. Uh Ash, this'll interest you a little bit. Uh AL Cy Young. Uh guess who's the favorite as of a quarterway through the season?

SPEAKER_00

Schlitter.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, plus two twenty. Our boy Cam Schlittler. I guess. Uh the pride of Walpole, Massachusetts. Um still plugging along, plus 400. Max Fried left today's game with a uh elbow injury, although he he says he's not worried, plus 850. Uh Jose Soriano with the Angels plus 1200, Rasmussen with the Rays plus 3,000, uh Gavin Williams with the Guardians plus 3,500, Logan Gilbert uh plus 3,500, McClanahan with the Rays plus 4,000, and Kirby uh with Seattle plus 4,000. So um yeah, I mean the my only concern with Schlittler is the workload. Um if he ends up pitching a full season, it'll be a lot more innings than he's pitched uh in his you know uh coming uh you know as far as the season in his in a in a certain season uh before. So that worries me a little bit, but uh um he does look nasty. So I guess if I was gonna throw money on somebody, um I mean speace is tempting at plus three thirty, but I guess I would go with Cam at plus two twenty. So I'd be a homer there and and take Schlittler.

SPEAKER_00

Um what were the odds on Soriano?

SPEAKER_05

He's plus twelve hundred.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I'd I'd I'd I'd I'd have the same concerns as Schlittler as you did. I'd rather see them you know, I'd rather see him pitching six, seven innings in games that they're pulling away from people and he's getting some form of rest without losing rotation spots. I think Soriano's just in a position being in the top three in the major categories that if he can sustain it, um it it makes sense and I like the value.

SPEAKER_05

He's having a really good year too.

SPEAKER_01

If I had a hundred dollar bet to bet, I'd I'd do fifty on uh each of the guys from the race. If they keep winning games and and they keep stacking wins. Um and they're they're they're becoming more fun to watch, I'll tell you that much. Especially with that, I mean, I know we're talking awards and stuff, but if there is an award for most fucking steals or bags or most chaos on the bases, that guy the other night had a he manufactured a run. I don't know if you guys saw it. He had the pitcher balked, then he stole third on the next pitch, then the catcher threw the ball to left field when he was stealing third. Simpson is incredible. He flies.

SPEAKER_00

Do you think we can get a do you think we can get a sponsorship piece for that award? The cat the casual chaos on the bases award?

SPEAKER_01

Chaos Chaos on the Bags awards presented by last rep? The Ricky Henderson. The Ricky Henderson. I like it.

SPEAKER_05

Hey, if the Rays, if the Rays, if the Rays win today, they're there'll be four up on the Yanks in a loss column. So uh, I mean they're they're they're building the cushion. So um I mean when when we spoke, yeah when we spoke last week, the Yankees uh were up a couple of games on the rays, and that has switched quickly, so it happens that fast in baseball. Um all right, so we got some picks on the record. We're quarterway through the season. I know Ash has mentioned a couple of times it's a long year, but uh it it actually seems like it's flying by this season for some reason. So um I always uh I always enjoy baseball season. Uh anyway, we'll continue with our eclectic show and we're gonna go a little horse racing. It's uh leg two of the triple crowned, although you know the triple crown is basically dying, as we discussed a couple weeks ago. I saw this today, guys. Um since 2019, five Kentucky Derby winners have not run in the pre-ness. Uh that's a lot, but it's even more so when you take into account that before that, only three Kentucky Derby winners didn't run in the pre-teness. So, and basically all of history, every horse that won the Derby ran in the pre-tens, um, except for three. And then starting in 19, five of the winners has uh has not run. So the triple crown is obviously Yeah, it's the the Triple Crown has lost its allure in that industry, evidently. So um, which is kind of sad. But uh also kind of a bummer is the race isn't gonna be at Pimlico this year. Um they're still in Maryland, they're running at uh Laurel Park in uh in Laurel, Maryland. Um, but the place only holds like 4,800 people. So uh, you know, the the uh the regular the regular man's uh uh triple crown race is is definitely the pretness. That's it's a party and a half for people who uh have or haven't been there. Um it's gonna be a little more subdued this year, unfortunately. Um I'll give you my pick um and then I'll let you guys cook. Um so again, as we mentioned, the derby winner isn't running, but the uh jockey who rode uh the derby winner is gonna be in the race. Uh Jose Ortiz is gonna be riding uh uh uh Chip Honcho at 5-1. So I'm going to, since I can't pick a horse to win the triple crown, I'm gonna pick the jockey to win the triple crown, and I'm I'm gonna ride uh Jose Ortiz. So uh that's my pick. Um Ash, fill us in. What's going on with the pretense this year?

SPEAKER_00

Well, just to put a bow on what you said, it you know, there's probably a lot of different uh reasons behind the I don't think it's the allure of the triple crown has left the the trainers and the owners as much as the protection of the animals and the protection of perception has probably erred on a side of caution for the animals. Not not a bad thing, but it does you know lessen what the the prestige of these events are. Um to your point about this being at Laurel Park, the the size of the track is obviously unequivocal, and we'll get into I'll get into that a little bit more, but that is the the party. And I I heard the accurate comparison. If you want to compare it, you know, to another sporting event. Obviously, the the run for the roses, Churchill Downs, it's synonymous with, you know, it's the crown jewel of the triple crown, you know, more in line with the masters from a prestige standpoint, right? You know, you you win the Kentucky Derby, you're you're famous. You're you win the preakness. There's not a lot of regular people even know what that race is. Um, but from a fan perspective, the preakness is the equivalent to the waste management open in golf, right? That is, you know, the the most turn style event in golf, and it is a party. And everybody knows going there, you're there to party. And Jeff, you and I have been fortunate enough to been at several freakness infields, and it's a site. And I've made this comment before, and it it gets echoed a lot, actually. The the first year I was at the freakness inside the the infield, everybody asked, how was it? It was great, man. I had an unbelievable time. Didn't see a horse all day. You know, because you you are there and you are in, you are just in it with the masses. So the the the quick thing about Laurel Park in comparison to um Pimico, Pimaclo is a mile and uh what is it, a mile and a third. Um Laurel Park is a mile. So before before anybody overreacts, the race distance will be the same. Obviously, they just pull the starting gate. So you The other part, uh, there's two other factors here. Um, if you're just comparing it to what would this trip be at Pimico, Laurel's more of an oval shape, so you're gonna get a little bit wider turns. Preakness is um, or I should say, Pimico is more of a tight turn track. That does play a part here because at historically at Pimico, speed typically wins out. You've got to kind of track the Thursday, Friday races to see if that holds true for the weekend. Is it a fair, fair track, however you want to phrase that? Um, but you you typically don't have the closer, the closers make the big runs like we just saw in a derby in the past. Um, that's gonna be amplified um at Laurel Park because that straight, the the final turn into the straightaway is a little shorter distance. So it kind of doesn't rule out a heavy closer, but it's not as probable. So we'll see if the sweeping turns lend a little bit to that, but I do think it's gonna be a little bit top speed heavy, if you will. Um with with all that said, it it it I I don't mind your pick. I like your pick at five to one Chiponcho because you know, little nugget, if you are paying attention, that horse did beat the tri the Kentucky Derby winner um in its last race. So obviously it has the capabilities to be a derby horse and a derby winner. I'll probably have Chiponcho in in a lot of my unders, and I will give out a super effect on this podcast, actually, but it's not my winner. Um with without beating a dead horse, um, no pun intended, and letting Bubit jump in here. Um, I'll just go ahead and give you my winner because we have what you would like to refer to as a mispriced horse on the morning line. Um I'm talking about talking 20 to 1. Jose Ortiz's brother, Irad Ortiz, arguably the best jockey in the sport. That horse um broke its maiden day one, has raced in nothing but stakes races since then, um, has been competitive in all of those stake races and went up against all the big boys that were in the derby. Um with Irad on there at 20 to 1, I fully expect Bubba this horse to be probably closer to eight to one, seven to one when the race goes off, because I just think sharp money is going to look at this and have the same reaction I did and go, ooh, we've got an issue here. Um you know, and the the the sharp money obviously comes in late, so I don't think it'll be um public money, and there's not a story attached to this. This the story attached to it is probably going to be more of um where is this horse? Oh Jesus. Not Iron Honor. Where's the woman-owned horse? I should be better at this. Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal. There it is. So Taj Mahal, Brittany Russell trained horse. That's where the public money is gonna go. It's five to one right now. It's a it's a good horse. It's it's got all the running on the rail, right? Running on a rail, yeah. But you you you're the pup the any any any anybody who passably watched a Kentucky Derby knows that a female trainer won. You have a female trainer, the trainer is married to the jockey. Um, like so the the love story, the love interest, the you know, it's a hallmark fucking movie here, so I see a lot of public money going down. I like Taj Mahal, it's a good horse. I won't have much on it, um, but I'll I'll definitely play it in some unders. So I'll just end it, Bubba, and turn it over to you.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I mean, I I I only had one real take here. I mean, I I do like I've got three horses that I really like. Um I like Incredible, I like um Taj Mahal, and I like um who's the other one there. Let me get to him. Um O'Celley. I like him. He made a surge in the derby, and uh obviously that this this field is slightly weaker, so I think he'll um I think he'll perform well. But all of them are I think O'Shelly's six to one and the other two are five to one. Taj Mahal for me, I'm a sucker. Um I think that the she'll be the first female trainer to win the preakness, and that'll be your ipsofactual triple crown. If there's another female trainer in the uh in the um in the Belmont, then I'll probably pick that too. But you're right, Jay. There's gonna be a lot of public money there. I that probably gonna go down, honestly, from five to one. Um so we'll see if it's if it gets too far down there, I'll I'll stay away from it. I'll throw it in on some exotics. But um incredible to me. I mean, I watched some highlights of those races today, and those, you know, they they finished strong in a lot of their races. Like you said, at the closing, that could be an issue, um, or may not come into play um like like it would at you know Pimblico or or the Derby or another track, but we'll see. We'll see. But right now I'm gonna right now as it sits, I'd be betting on those three horses.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

100 bucks on each. You're gonna win, you're gonna you're gonna win money if it if either one of those come in.

SPEAKER_05

Sure. It does it does feel like a really wide open race. Um the only other thing I'll mention, yeah. The only other thing I'll mention, and and as you sort of beat me to the punch, um I I wrote down two horses. I obviously I mentioned Chiponcho, um, but uh I also was gonna throw talking out as sort of like my long shot pick. And Jay, as you said, uh it might he might not be a long shot by the time the race starts. But uh yeah, I like uh I like that one too. So that's a nice pick on your part.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, he's not gonna go off as a favorite. You know, um I I've got a pretty strict life policy. I don't argue with anybody who drops an ipso facto on you. So I have no I have no notes on Bubba's Bubba's commentary, but uh I'll I'll give you the superfecta box. So a dollar bet uh boxed up is gonna be a $24 bet. Um you want to play talking, number five, chip honcho, number six, number seven, the hell we did, and number nine, iron honor. That's your superfecta. And if the odds were to hold 19 to 1, 15 to 1, 5 to 1, and 20 to 1, it won't be a derby style 90,000 plus payout, but it'll definitely be a five-figure plus you know, payout. So I like that. I like those four horses boxed in a trifecta as well. I hope we take in talking across the board and probably not mess around with too much else. I'll I'll have some of those numbers I just gave out in some overs and some keys and things along those lines, but I'm I'm just gonna ride talking hard on this one. Um stick with my first instincts, you know. So that's as good as any other form of handicapping in these types of races. Um, Bub, I do like, you know, there is an argument for derby horses that you know fall short in a derby to come back and and have a good preakness. So um what is the name of that horse again?

SPEAKER_01

There's two of them, Ocelli and there's uh Incredibolt. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

If you if you if you go back and watch the Derby now, because you can watch the race and not your horse, Incredible did make a did make a move. Renegade kind of ran him sideways. Um, but he he was right there with Renegade, who obviously was in position to win that race before you know Golden came and took it from him. So um there's definitely something to be said. It's something I'll play in some unders as well. I don't think uh my understanding from the other services I pay I monitor, you know, Riley Mott wasn't planning on putting this horse in the Derby, but he, or I'm sorry, in the preakness, but he saw something enough to get him there. So, you know, if you're into connections, there's no reason not to give him a whirl. So it it is wide open, it's a different track, so it's it's not the same. Pay attention, you know, it again, if you're gonna follow us blind, do so at your own peril. If you if we win, then obviously give us our flowers. But it you gotta you gotta monitor Thursday and Friday. You gotta see what that track is actually doing, um, because it is it is just a different format um than Pimico. So best of luck to everybody. Let's have some fun.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Be a fun weekend.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. Um and as we continue to bounce around from sport to sport, we have a golf major this weekend. Um so uh PJ Championship, uh, Ash. Who do you like this weekend? You're you're the biggest golf. Well, you you and Tyler are the biggest golf guys out of out of the bunch, but I'll let Tyler cook for a little bit here.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, so um PGA, I think Scotty's going off as the favorite uh this week. If I am trying to pull up the odds here.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think it's like four plus four four fifty or something like that. He's the favorite.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, in in probably not a bad place to start with your money if you're just if you're gonna sprinkle and try and hit a winner. Um sprinkle something on him. I know he's been slow to get off the gate, kind of, in his book. Um but he's got a few top 10 in the last few goes at it. Um it's gonna be a week that somebody's gonna get the putter going. Um because it's not an overly long force, so it's probably gonna be the guy who makes the most butter this week. Um it's not because it's gonna be the bombers, the bombers will have an advantage. Hitting a little less uh limited agreement with the guys who get two cut um from distance because there are some bigger green complexes. Uh I think it's a roundic. Um bigger green complexes, you're gonna have to get you know some solid lag cutting. Um guys that probably played well in the masters, um because you kind of have to have that defensive cutting from only from like 30 feet potentially, but you kind of have to be protective and get it in a small circle, uh not just a hole. So um you know, guys like Scotty, I think Rory's going through his little woe with me, I want another tournament. I'm probably gonna come out like an Israel and I have a blister on my toe. Oh, I got a blister. He's got a blister. Um so I I I probably would stay away from Rory for the most part. He probably will still come in top 20, top 30. Um just because it's it's only on his pinky toe. He's got a blister on his pinky toe, but he's already making excuses about it.

SPEAKER_00

So he's he's gonna be wearing a shoe at half size bigger. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So a size eight.

SPEAKER_01

Um this is the uh balance. This is also the two two or three year anniversary of Scotty Sheffer getting arrested at this tournament. Uh yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So he didn't get around last year, so he did. He did. So uh I I like um just off the winners guys. Um I'll go into that just quickly. I got um I got Ricky Fowler. Uh, if you're gonna go with like a first guy, hasn't won a major guy. Um I like Ricky. Um I think Ricky doesn't have to be long. He is a good putter historically. He's struggled a little bit in the last few years, um, but he's been playing really well lately for a good little bit now. So I like Ricky maybe get to get off the side to be it makes sense for him to win a PGA. The PGA is won by big name guys, generally speaking, like the last like seven, eight years. Um Ricky kind of fits that, not that he's uh you know playing like the top ten guys in the world, but he's got a name like the top ten guys in the world, historically speaking. So I like Ricky. Uh I like Tommy Fleetwood, another guy. Uh again, I think if he can get it doesn't have to be long, it's not a bomber score, so that dials back in the guys that don't hit it long like Fleetwood. Um I like Brooke. Um I think he's been fighting his way kind of I think he likes where he's at right now in life as far as having a shit ton of money not having to play on the PGA tour every week and just kind of waiting to see if he gets in um every week. Um I think he's playing in three. If he can put well, I think he's actually leading the PGA tour in like iron play this year, even though he's not playing a full field. But if he can get that putter going a little bit, and obviously he knows how to win a PGA game, uh he's already won three. Um so just being his fourth would be kind of crazy. Um I like those three guys as kind of if you're trying to pick a winner that's not you know what he's gonna show in that top here.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's it's I agree with everything you said have no notes there. Um special guests is walking in again. Um where I was going with that is coming coming off the interviews, there they're the the players actually hello. We're we are a kid-friendly program here, we're starting them young. You want to get in there, buddy? You want to say hi?

SPEAKER_05

Hey man. Give a give a wave.

SPEAKER_00

He can't hear us. He's waving on his way out. I love it. All right. Um, yeah, so Tyler, it's not a bomber's course, but you know, Rory's basically like he's gonna grip it and rip it. He's not worried about the rough. And then guys like Scott Scotty came out and said, you know, the the rough's not where you want to be, and you're gonna have to hit precision shots out of there. And to your point about the greens, you know, the the you're probably looking at who who can make the most 20-footers to kind of steal this one potentially. Um, I thought your take on um Brooksy was was spot on uh because he does lead lead it in iron play, but I believe he's a paltry 140 something in putting.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I think he's gonna have new putter every week this year.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and but but to put that in perspective, how how good the iron play is, how many top 15s and top tens has he had this year? You know what I mean? So um he definitely we we know his whole mantra is you know the the tour events are our practice and he he plays for the majors. So we'll we'll see if he can pull it together. Um I I this is semi-funny. I accidentally put in two separate tickets for Scotty to win two months ago. And because of the way my one of my sites works, I just hit win, you know, I just saw a winner, so I hit the box and I was like, oh, Shuffler 450. Yeah, why not? And I put it in and I did it again, and then I realized as I went back to put the rest of my action in, I was betting the PGA championship. So I have two I have two tickets on Scotty, so 100 to win 450, 450. So let's go, Scotty. Um, I I'll just say I'll say this for the top favorites under 20 to 1. I will have something on Cam Young, who's you know playing lights out and is his game is tailor-made for this course. Whether he uses a tailor-made ball or not is unknown to me. Um, I do like Ludwig this week as well. Um, another guy who has been around um, you know, for on leaderboards this whole year and and seems to have one bad round. This doesn't have the same prestige as um the masters, if you will. So not not quite the you know, the uh, you know, following you around. And you know, being in Philadelphia, I think he he could get some crowd. Um that the next tier, you know, uh Brooksy at 33 to 1, I'm all over that. And I'm all over Ricky at 55 to 1 as well. I I think Tyler, if we look at last week in particular, the the ball striking's there, the putting's back, he had an opportunity last week. Um he he had a shit Friday, so the fact that he was even there is good. I just like the form. And you want to talk about the potential for a crowd getting behind somebody. If Ricky's on the leaderboard come Saturday, I think you're gonna see that whole um whole vibe shift his way. And you know, whether he could out duel Scotty down the stretch will be something. So I really think it's gonna be, you know, what what Scotty does as usual, and can somebody sneak up? So those would be my win plays. I think this is the perfect tournament if you guys like betting golf. Um, and as you know, you could take $100 and spread it over 10 guys and and play to make money because you're gonna get plus odds. The plus 20 and plus, you know, the plus 20 and plus 30 if you can get them, like if you're on a hard rock, there's some serious numbers. Some some guys that are, you know, have have a good shot at actually being in this tournament to win it. You're you're still getting three to one, four to one in some cases in the top 20. Um, Tyler sent me a parlay. I hope you don't mind me leaking it here, Tyler. But you know, you you got you got guys like Fleetwood, Kepka, um Fowler, and uh Cam Young, with the exception of Cam, all those guys are plus money all the way up to plus two to one in a top 20 bet. So, you know, a dollar is going to pay you close to a hundred bucks in that situation. Like those those are the values you should be looking at. Um if if you want some just outrights, I I would be hammering Kepka and Ricky in the top 10, um Cam Young in the top 10, guys along those lines. Um so as usually, this is one of those majors where it typically isn't always chalk. Somebody sneaks in. Um, you know, pay attention to the JJ spawns of the world again. Pay attention to the godder ups because godder up's a guy that can bomb the ball and he can putt, um, and he putts well on bent grass. That's the another key here. Um, so it you know, the guys who putt great on Bermuda grass, you know, this is bent grass. So a little different, you know, and pay attention to the guys who make you know 15, 20 footers on a regular, so like a Russell Henry or Russell Henley or somebody along those lines. So a lot of action. Have some fun with the top tens and top 20s. Um, you know, try to narrow it down to four, you know, four or five guys on the win. That's the way I look at it. Bubba?

SPEAKER_01

So I'll be I'll be quick, but uh Cam Young grew up about three hours away. Um and he's playing, like you said, he's he's playing almost lights out, probably best golfer in the world right now. Not better than Scheffler, but I mean he's putting together some some crazy tournaments. Um Jordan Spieth is a PGA win away this week from a career guaranteed slam. So he's a guy to watch. He can get hop with the putter. Um they cut down a shit ton of trees. I read this. So this plays to this plays to the bombers, right? If they can hit it over those bunkers, and it just depends on how hard how tough the rough is. But um I'm I'm big on Scheffler. I'm I'm gonna do some first round, I'm gonna throw some first rounds at you guys. Um Speith, first round 50 to win 2700, Scheffler 50 to win 720, McElroy 50 to win 960, and then Cam Young 50 to win almost 1200. Um, so I've got those four guys on the first round leaderboard uh leading after tomorrow. Um, but though those are I I I would say Scheffler's a big favorite to win it, and they've I don't see I don't see why he wouldn't win it. Um and like you said, he's plus 450. You might sprinkle 100 on him, 200 on him, and and try to you know make a couple hundred bucks.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah. She has been pedestrian this year with his his iron play. He's not been playing like you know prime tiger woods like he was for a little bit, but that's why he's not quite at that level of like you gotta better. Yeah, no doubt. No doubt.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but you're getting better odds now because of him being a little bit worse, which is only gonna help you if it's one of those tournaments though, where you're exactly right where you're like the odds are getting better because he hasn't been as dominant, but then you're just like and he's up by five strokes on Sunday.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, you're gonna feel stupid if you didn't bet it and you're like, fuck man, it was plus 450, and I should have bet it, and I said no. It's exactly what we're doing.

SPEAKER_01

But it is this is gonna be fun to watch. I think it I think it's gonna be uh a pretty cool tournament. So I'll be locked in on that and the freak us on Saturday, Sunday for sure.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, Scotty's minus two, Scotty's minus 200 to top 10. That's uh a a pretty safe play. Um, but going back to my point about top 20 in value, Bubba Speef at a top 20 is plus 240. Yeah, like so to me that's an automatic hundred dollar play. Right. Yeah. No, for sure. Yeah. So we'll we'll see how it goes. But again, nice weekend for sports. You got playoff basketball, playoff hockey, major golf tournament, you know, second leg of the triple crown. I mean, if we could mix in a little WMBA, I mean, what a weekend.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I mean you gotta put depending on what happens on Friday. I mean, you could have a game seven on Sunday, too, between the Spurs and uh Seabolves. So by the way, let's wait, let's let's talk about uh the uh the big fight this weekend that's you know ten years too late, but you got Rousey fighting uh Carano. You guys have any interest in that at all? Twelve years ago, yes.

SPEAKER_04

Twelve years ago, fifteen years ago, I would have been pumped for this fight.

SPEAKER_01

And Ronda Rousey hasn't fought since when? Two thousand thirteen? Fourteen?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, this makes fucking Tyson Roy Jones at age forty eight look like a good fight. Um Um the the problem with Carano is in 2009 she had lost it.

SPEAKER_05

You know what I mean? You can see it's Rousey too, right? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but but at least Rousey's, you know, fuck in a real fight before COVID. Like, you know, or so um I I I I don't have much interest in it. I I I haven't even been following the storyline, you know. I what are the odds, Jeff? Throw some odds at us.

SPEAKER_05

I have no idea, man. Yeah, probably. I mean, I imagine they're getting they must be getting paid a ton of money.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, it's the only reason why they're doing it, but I have to imagine if they're not, that's embarrassing.

SPEAKER_01

I I I hope it works out for uh Corano just because she got bounced off the Mandalorian and She was great because she got she got whenever two chicks are fighting, whenever two chicks are fighting, and and listen to me, they've been dominant, and there's a lot of girls out there in the UFC that would absolutely beat all of our asses. But you just gotta think to yourself in a fight like this, like, do you think you could get in there and last? Yeah, of course you could. Um it's a weight thing.

SPEAKER_04

It's a weight thing. Uh Rhonda Rousey's mind play on him. I used to say, by the way, in Rhonda Rousey's prime when she was beating the fuck out of everyone, I used to say I could last around with her. No doubt. Just a weight thing. It's just mass. It's not not not technique or anything, it's just mass. Um Rhonda Rouse. Until she breaks her arm. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what I would say. If she gets me on the ground, exactly right. Yeah, stay up the map. Uh Rhonda Rousey's minus 550 to win. Gina Carano, plus plus 400 Gina Carano.

SPEAKER_01

I'll take the other side. I'll take the other side. Absolutely.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I might throw something on Corano just because I want her to win. So it's just plus 440.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

By the way. I love it. I love it. We do not we do not discriminate.

SPEAKER_00

Throw 10 bucks out. Throw 10 bucks out and order Uber Eats and see what happens.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, exactly. Seems crazy to me because I there's no bad blood. These two girls like each other. They've been talking nice. Um, on the hard rock right now, you can bet that there's a decision in this match. So the it goes to a decision. Plus six hundred. That seems like you should you should take that. Plus six hundred.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't see anybody knocking anybody out.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I don't think they're gonna go for it, go for it like that. Maybe I'm wrong, but like I I think the decision is not to watch it.

SPEAKER_04

Yes. That's minus ten thousand.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That's that's even that's even money, I will not be watching it.

SPEAKER_05

It will be inter it'll be interesting to see what kind of ratings it gets because I I won't be watching it either, but I I bet you a lot of people will.

SPEAKER_01

So Diaz is fighting. Um I'll be I will be watching that. I will be watching that. He I love when that fucking guy fights, and I hope he wins and gives an interview after because his interviews are fucking gold too. Yeah, I love it.

SPEAKER_05

Alright, boys, it's categories time. Um Ash, why don't you start? What's your lock of the week?

SPEAKER_00

So last week it was a Pistons minus three and a half. That's a check mark. Um, so I'm carrying a four-game win streak into that. And I've got the Pistons tonight. I I I uh I went soft on you guys, though. I I took the minus 170 just to see if I can keep the streak alive. So lock of the week is Pistons tonight on the floor.

SPEAKER_05

All right. Last week I had the Spurs minus nine and a half. Um they were coming off of a loss in game one. I kind of had a feeling they would win big and they did, so that came in. Uh this week uh I got the Spurs tomorrow night. Uh I'm sorry, Friday night, minus four and a half. I I'm gonna be rooting for them to uh close that series out, and uh I really think they're going to. So Spurs minus four and a half on Friday. There you go.

SPEAKER_01

Let's see here. Tyler, I think I sent you my lock last week, or maybe I didn't. Maybe I forgot. I've never got anything last week, so you're just freewheeled and so I'm firing off the hip. I'm taking the um against um against everything that we've said about the uh Oakland A's, or they the Sacramento A's, whatever the fuck they are now. Um I'm taking at the moment. I'm taking the Cardinals tonight at plus one twenty-three, which is another shout out because I think Jay and I, maybe even you guys, the Cardinals were I don't know, like over under 72 wins, and they're on pace to blow that out of the water. They're they've been hot. So um another shout from our um initial MOB, but I'm taking the Cardinals at plus one twenty-three tonight.

SPEAKER_05

Very nice. They were actually your they were actually your pick to win the division bulb. I think you got them like plus thirty, five hundred. So I mean they're alive, you know, they're alive for you.

SPEAKER_04

All right, and last week I was with Jay. I took the Pistons minus three and a half. Obviously, that came in. This week my lock is Ricky Fowler to top 20. Um plus 230 um to top 20. So I'm going with Ricky Fowler to be in the top 20 of the PGA championship. I'll swing it through with the prop. Um prop of the week last week was Ziegris from the Ducks to score a goal. Um he did not, unfortunately. Um this week I actually had Duncan Robinson um originally in this, but uh he's out today, I guess. So I changed it um before the game there. Um Edwards uh three over three and a half threes um tomorrow night, plus one seventy. So Ant Edwards to rein in some threes.

SPEAKER_01

Let's see here. My prop this week is Cam Young top five finish at plus two sixty-three. I don't like that.

SPEAKER_00

Aggressive. I'll keep the golf theme going. I've got Ricky Fowler plus 450 to top ten.

SPEAKER_05

There we go. All right. What about last week?

SPEAKER_00

I had Sam Burns to top ten, and Sam burned me.

SPEAKER_05

I had uh Castle to hit two at least two threes at plus one thirty. You guys won't believe this, but um you can't actually hit two threes if you only take one in the game. So that was a loss for me. Um this week uh I have what? Oh, I have Schwarber with zero hits today. I don't know. Uh he might already have a hit. I have no idea, but he's plus one fifty-five. So I got him with zero hits in tonight's game.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. Well, the game's over, so let's see if you're right, Jeff. Uh-oh. Oh for two.

SPEAKER_01

Ah.

SPEAKER_05

Green knights, Jeff. Woo-hoo. Um, last week uh for my dog, I had the Blue Jays at plus 113. Um that game was over by the time we did this category last week, and that was an L. So at least uh I'm doing better this week with the with the W with Schwarber. Um my dog uh is the Cavs tonight, plus 150. What's the score currently, fellas?

SPEAKER_01

Uh 5660, Detroit.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Still alive. All right. Donovan Mitchell's back, so yeah, they're still there.

SPEAKER_00

Um my underdog of the week is Bubba's prop of the week, so I'm rooting for Bubba because I've got Cam Young top 10 at plus 145.

SPEAKER_01

Those are great odds.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So we're gonna take all right.

SPEAKER_01

Um my underdog of the week will be done tomorrow evening, um, and hopefully it's a winner. Scotty Scheffler, first round leader plus 1455.

SPEAKER_04

Um last week I had the Anaheim Ducks to win. They were plus one thirty that came in. They used the W today, and I had this in their pre-game. Uh I had the Minnesota Wild uh winning a game five to force a game six. Um they were plus one seventy-five. Uh they're currently at three to one in the second period, so looking good right there, right now. Alright. On the brag and ride. And do we have anything to brag about, boys? I don't know. Tough. Jeff, I think this was yours. Ant Edwards over two and a half threes, Julius Randle over one and a half threes, Stephanie Castle over one and a half threes, and then the over in the 76ers Knicks game.

SPEAKER_05

Um let's start with the 76ers Knicks game. Um, they need the two the two teams combined only needed to score 35 points in the fourth quarter for that over to hit, and uh they did not. They uh somehow somehow after having a high scoring first three quarters, neither team could score a basket in the fourth. Um I know that knocked uh Ashton out too. Um he had he had money on that one too, in some form or fashion. So um the other three on there um were all losses, so I went 0 for 4. Um again, um I think I think out of those three guys, only one three pointer was made. So that was a that was a rough night for me.

SPEAKER_04

Moving on. Bubba, you had the Lakers plus 15 and a half. I don't think they covered that. They did not on the last. The race probably did win. Astros not sure, and the Canadians over, I think was in by the time we left the pod the other day.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I I can tell you right now, I watched that I watched that Lakers game and they were covering the entire fucking game until the last shot. So pretty depressing. Um it I think it had a chance. Um I want to say the Astros won that game, but uh yeah, no bragging rights here.

SPEAKER_04

Happens. And then Jay, uh, you had I'm assuming the 76ers plus ten and a half screwed you there.

SPEAKER_00

It all screwed me.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, there you go.

SPEAKER_00

That happens.

SPEAKER_04

That happens.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that was uh that was a that was a donut all over.

SPEAKER_04

Not a good week for the the old bragging rights, but we have another week and we have another opportunity. Um who's betting on some hockey here? Is this Jeff?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I wanted to uh I wanted to actually put them in at minus one and a half, but I I I hit the wrong thing and I just uh said screw it. I just let it ride. So yeah, I got the Avalanche just winning uh outright. Um I have uh pissing calves over 211.5. Um I got the Jays minus one and a half and uh over in that Jays raised game of uh seven and a half, and I have a feeling this is already a loser because that that game was 0-0 in the fifth, so I'm guessing they didn't score eight runs in the final four innings.

SPEAKER_04

But yeah, it's it's still going on, but it's one-one in the bottom of the ninth. Um and the Avalanche are down 3-1, so this might just chalk it up, Jeff. Oh, oh boy.

SPEAKER_05

Another rough week. Oh boy.

SPEAKER_04

You're saving them all. You're saving them all. Jay?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, this one is not looking good, only from the fact that I have James Harden under 19.5, and here he already has 13 points. So I'm really hoping playoff James Harden shows up in the second half. Um, looks old old and slow and doesn't get to the foul line. Um, but I'm I'm probably 15, 20 minutes away from being out of bragging rights. Still have plenty of confidence in the Pistons, minus four and a half. And then again, I I had some fun with golf, threw Ricky Fowler in there, top 10, Cam Young in there, top 10. So it's a it's a lovely payout if I can get past tonight. 25 wins 1488.

SPEAKER_05

What do you what do you have harden? What'd you say? Minus 19 and a half? I mean 19 and a half? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

16 right now. So he's got 16?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I need it, I need an ankle.

SPEAKER_04

Um and then Bubba, this is yours here.

SPEAKER_01

Um, all right, here we go. I am a uh hedge master, so those of you watching here will notice that I do have the athletics in my bragging rights. Um hopefully win one or the other. Um I got the A's on the money line, I've got the Dodgers on the run line, and then I've got the Detroit Pistons to win outright, which they're up right now, but we'll see. It's a long game. And I got the Spurs minus four and a half. Um, as that game Friday night, I think, right? Yeah, 25 to win, $221. Nice. All right.

SPEAKER_05

It might be up to you, Boba, depending on Harden.

SPEAKER_01

So we'll see. We will see.

unknown

All right.

SPEAKER_04

Well, that's Bragg and Rights, fellas.

SPEAKER_00

All right. Well, oh, yeah. Well, Harden. Um okay, 9 42. It's a wrap. Um, pistons are up five. We are getting ready to sign off. So as always, follow us on the socials at Casual Chaos Live.
