Adventures Gone Wrong
Welcome to Adventures Gone Wrong — a podcast where outdoor adventures take a turn, survival is optional, and questionable decisions are part of the journey.
I’m Stacie, your chaos-loving storyteller from the Yukon. I dig into real-life tales of risk, resilience, and what happens when the wilderness doesn’t go according to plan.
Some stories will make you laugh. Some will make you say “WHY would they do that?!” All of them will make you glad it wasn’t you.

Goran Kropp: The Most Hardcore Everest Attempt Ever?
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In 1995, Swedish climber Göran Kropp loaded 200 pounds of gear into a bike trailer and started pedalling from Sweden toward Nepal. His plan was to ride to Everest, climb it alone without bottled oxygen, and ride home.
He arrived in the spring of 1996, the deadliest season in Everest's history.
This is the story of Göran Kropp: the bike ride, the climb, the disaster, and the decision that defined everything.
