It helps the small and growing brand reach more people. Alright, let's dive into today's solo episode. I've been thinking a lot lately about where AI is headed, not just in the headlines, but in our everyday choices as leaders, creators, and curious humans. And this month I've been diving deep into a book by Noelle Russell. You might have seen her as the recent keynote speaker at Mindvalley's Free AI Conference they just did online, and the book is called Scaling Responsibly with ai. I started reading it because she gifted to me at an event where we were both speaking at here in Miami earlier this year, and I felt like it was the perfect prep for an AI leadership panel I recently moderated here in Miami, which by the way, that whole conversation will be aired as a bonus episode in the coming weeks. Some key points I wanted to just go over in her book, because a lot of people were interested in not just the future of ai, but what it means for education. And in her book, she has the ultimate AI leadership checklist. It includes things like vision alignment, talent empowerment, ethical framework, continuous learning. Risk management, stakeholder communication and innovation cultivation. Particularly in the talent empowerment, ethical frameworks and risk management sections. I was really expanded by these are the future jobs and future work titles. We're gonna see enter the market very soon and how we're going to be pivoting a lot into more AI centric and technology centric roles. Think just before the. Uh, age of the internet and the boom of the worldwide web. There weren't such things as digital marketing managers, and that was a title you had never heard of before that big boom happened. So her book really expanded me, not only what it means to be an AI leader when it comes to preventing biases and what it takes to manage AI ethically. But it really expanded me in a way where I got to see into the future of the types of new roles that are gonna be coming out as we are all integrating and adopting ai. I am really excited for you to listen to that panel conversation when it comes out in the coming weeks on this podcast. That AI leadership panel I hosted really got me thinking about a recent interview I watched with Sam Altman and Theo Von, I'll be sure to link the YouTube in the show notes. And it was so raw and real. There was no PR script in it and he really answered the questions most people try to avoid. And I love one perspective. He shared, I mean, he clearly has media training, but he was able to shift all of these questions coming at him in such a positive reframe. The fact that we're even worrying about AI risks means we're already putting the guardrails in place. To his point, he mentions that throughout history, creativity, service and human adaption have had this stubborn way of winning. He says, human creativity seems basically limitless and human desire to be useful to each other and connect with each other seems pretty limitless too. And I really attest to that. And I think that, the more that we are worrying this dystopian future and painting these scenarios that Theo Von did so elaborately in the talk. Um, his response was the fact that you find this so off-putting, I think is a sign for optimism. And that's so true. We're not gonna let these things happen if we're already off, put by, the cause of concerns for ai. One of the most common ones are for our children and he says, he thinks kids are gonna be fine because kids, you never really have to worry about technology. They're always quick to adapt and are the first ones always to, move forward with technology throughout history. And we can see this happening in real time with Gen Alpha. This leads me to my next point where not everybody's ready for the adaptations we're seeing and the big mass market pivot we're seeing when it comes to ai. You may or may not have known, but in the August issue of Vogue Magazine, there was a completely AI generated model for Guess clothing and this stirred up a lot of conversation. The founders behind the project put out a statement saying, look, this isn't just an AI prompt behind every AI generated image, there's a full creative team, engineers, designers, photographers, stylists, developers, and yes, even models. They compared their process to architecture, fabric studies, lighting tests, and emphasized that AI was just the tool, not the vision. Their argument is this is real work and AI generated ads using models deserve recognition. I did some scrolling in the comments, and you'll see that people are really fired up. I'll also link this post from Instagram in the show notes, but some of them are cheering on the innovation. Some are cheering on the innovation, others are pushing back really hard, asking about the mental wellbeing of women under impossible beauty standards, pointing out that human jobs are being cut out in the process and questioning why AI keeps defaulting to the same blonde, flawless stereotype. Instead of opening doors to more inclusive representation. I would like to argue that the fact that these points are even being made, that we're going to see, in return and as a result, uh, from these public comments and expressions, just that we're gonna see more inclusive representation. So I think it's important to be a part of the conversation and a part of the adaptation that is happening specifically in ai. And if you haven't listened to my episode with Natalia, AKA Meta Muse, it's episode 15 of my podcast series. She talks a lot about the future of AI brand avatars and predicts that a lot of big name brands just like Guess are going to be moving into this direction. And having their own signature models that are completely AI generated. So be on the lookout for more of this. This is just the start, which brings me to something I've been noticing in my own work, because there's a lot of controversy already around AI generated emails. I do a lot of training with clients and sometimes there's pushback this brings an important point of the difference between AI generated versus AI polished content. I'm in the camp that says AI can get you 90% of the way there, but that last 10%, this is where you have to show up, read AI generated content like a draft, strip out those em dashes that it loves to sprinkle everywhere. Put your own flavor back in, and that's the part that people actually connect to. AI, is giving you the leverage in getting you 90% there. But do not dismiss emails or content that is generated by AI polished content it takes a person behind the AI to give it the knowledge and people put a lot of efforts behind their prompt before generating AI content, I think that's to be respected, but that is my personal opinion. Reach out to me. I'd love to hear what you think about AI generated content versus AI polished content. Because we're gonna be seeing more and more AI generated copy, AI generated emails, AI generated pitches, and it's important to really distinguish the difference between ai that gets you a hundred percent there and AI that gets you 90% there. Another really big thing that happened recently was the White House released its plan for ai. It publicly dropped its multi-page PDF. It's enormous. I actually threw this PDF into 11 reader and had an AI generated podcast read back to me, its Main Points, and I'll share that link as well so you can tune in and take a listen along with the full AI plan and an article. I'm gonna read an excerpt from right now from the White House it says. The White House AI plan identifies over 90 federal policy actions across three pillars, accelerating innovation, building American AI infrastructure, and leading in international diplomacy and security that the Trump administration will take in the coming weeks and months. Key policies and AI action plan include exporting American ai, promoting rapid build out of data centers, enabling innovation and adoption. So really see this coming deeper into our schools and what they're teaching in schools, how we're learning in schools. They're gonna be expediting and modernizing permits for data centers, and this is something I really wanna double click on, as they say, is the environmental impact of data centers of AI use in general. This is a lot of people's initial reservation or pushback when it comes to using ai. And I have such an exciting guest airing next week on How I AI from Germany. His name is Dr. Kihm. He's developed some incredible tech to make AI more energy efficient, and I truly feel like it's only a matter of time before we use technology to support us in this time of deep environmental concern. I believe that the answers we seek are all out there. Just to tease my episode with Dr. Kihm, he is able to preserve energy conservation by 80 to 90%, I believe it was. You'll have to listen in to that episode. But it gave me a lot of hope towards the future, especially as I read this AI White House plan about what they plan to be rolling out, and speaking of full steam ahead, I've been toying around with creating custom gpt for this podcast. I thought it'd be a great idea to load all of the transcripts from these episodes. And I've had 20 guests, I believe, at this point. So you can imagine how much we've gotten into every episode. And I'm going to make it free at first, so be sure to tune in and pay attention when I release that custom GPT. You'll be able to interact with it and ask it questions. It'll reference prior guests I've hosted, and you'll be able to get tools and systems recommended in real time based on conversations with thought leaders and professionals and developers in this space that I bring to you each and every week. I think for my next solo episode, I'm going to between then and now dive way more into AI agent mode on ChatGPT As ChatGPT just released. Uh, model five and AI agents. I actually just got off a pretty incredible membership call with the collective AI where we were all talking just that, and they were running through a bunch of demos on how they're personally using chat GPT five and aI agent mode and gave some examples of the things that they were able to create and I was blown away. Some ideas I already have going are, now we can use AI agent mode within chat GPT to create custom GPTs for us, and they'll probably do it better than we could. I'm going to use it to help me create more funnels to the podcast. I don't know if you know this, but right now I'm a one woman show. I'm doing everything from a to Z for this podcast and all the ways that I can get the AI support to get more people to listen in and become empowered and inspired by the use of ai, i'm on board, so I'm even considering launching a substack. I know. I know. I first need to really focus on YouTube and TikTok before I move into more community driven platforms, but. I was really energized by today's demo of Agent Mode from The Collective AI, and I already have my brain racking of all the ways that I could be leaning in and 10 Xing my output as a solopreneur. My final point I wanna make for today's solo episode, and again, thank you so much for tuning in each and every week is just a reminder as you're building and in your AI sandboxes and exploring and discovering different ways to use ai. Something I learned recently reiterated the fact on how we need to be very concerned about our data management and our privacy when it comes to uploading and sharing things to our LLMs or any of the softwares, tools, and solutions that we're using within the AI space. I read an article recently that chat, GPT had a court order to save every conversation ever. In the past we have been told that it only retains users conversations for a certain amount of time. If you ever explore your data and privacy settings in chat GPT, if you haven't, I highly recommend that you do. You can toggle on and off if you're sharing your data. If your team, level, you don't have to worry about it, it won't show your data. It'll retain conversations for a certain amount of days. Or you can do a temporary chat sometimes I do that when I don't want it to remember something and I'm just asking it a random question that has nothing to do with my personal and professional goals so that it doesn't save it to memory. But anyways, OpenAI has protested a court order that forces it to retain all of its users conversations. This is part of a copyright infringement case against it by the New York Times and other publishers. The news organizations argued that chat, GPT, was presenting their content and its responses to the point where users were reading this material instead of accessing their paid content directly. I think you're gonna see a lot of this coming up. A lot of people have, uploaded transcripts of not their private data, of other books that they've read and been adding this to their knowledge base when they're using their ai. And if you are making this public and you're not keeping it private and within your own conversations, that's copyright infringement. This is intellectual property and there's gonna be a lot of cases that come out like this in the coming years. This is just the beginning of it, but my point to all of you is, I saw something recently covering the 13 things to never share. With chat GPT, but you could even use this across the board with any LLM or any AI that you're using. Whenever I'm training small businesses and founders on ai, the first call I have with them is discussing what's your AI policy? What rules and regulation and guardrails do you have in place, if you're dealing with sensitive client data and personal information, be sure to always redact any of that information before uploading it to any LLM or ai. So here are the 13 things that this post shared, and I think it's just a really good reminder for a lot of us because we have become very comfortable with sharing our thoughts with LLMs and ais. Number one, pretty obvious, but social security numbers, credit cards and banking info Number two, home address, phone numbers, number three, passwords, pins, security codes. Four. Medical records prescriptions, five. Legal troubles or court cases? Six. Private family or relationship issues? Seven. Work secrets or trade secrets? Eight. Client or employer? Confidential data. Nine academic assignment requests. 10. Illegal activity instructions. 11. Others personal information. 12. Requests to impersonate people. 13. Which sums up everything above it anything you wouldn't post publicly. This actually got me thinking of every conversation I had had with Chad GBT at this point. And I jumped in and added this list in there and I said, have I ever shared any of this information with you? And good thing I was in the clear. So just a really helpful reminder. Be really careful and vigilant redact data where you need to. And just be mindful that any information you share with AI can use against you in court. Plain and simple. Well, that closes off this solo episode. I hope you found this to be really beneficial. Every time I come across something that I think would really help you all, I put it in my notes for my next episode. I've already written down we're gonna cover AI agents and my use cases in the next one in the coming weeks. We touched on the next couple episodes as mentioned, we'll have Dr. Kihm next week talking about the environmental impact of AI and solutions he has in place. And following that, we'll also get the opportunity to meet the founders of the collective. You hear me talk about them every episode i've interviewed each of the co-founders individually about their personal and professional lives because the collective isn't their only business. It's a technology company and AI community. That I personally partner with and a member of. But they have a lot of other businesses and have scaled and exited businesses that are really impressive. So within this episode about the collective airing in the next couple weeks, we'll really get into the nitty gritty of their process of why they created this community and technology solutions and the future of AI Tools and how they're helping high level developers and businesses get real results with their product called AI Enhancement as consultants, which I have actually trained under them and am a licensed AI enhancement consultant. So. Buckle up. The AI wave isn't slowing down and neither are we. And I'm so excited for the coming episodes. As always, reach out to me with any feedback. I'd love to hear it. And if you are interested in being on a future episode, check my show notes to apply and be featured. Alright, thank you so much for listening to How I AI and I'll see you on the next episode. Take care. Wow I hope today's episode opened your mind to what's possible with AI. Do you have a cool use case on how you're using AI and wanna share it? DM me. I'd love to hear more and feature you on my next podcast. Until next time, here's to working smarter, not harder. See you on the next episode of How I AI This episode was made possible in partnership with the Collective AI, a community designed to help entrepreneurs, creators, and professionals seamlessly integrate AI into their workflows.
