We are located in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina, and we hope to utilize this platform to play some small role in carrying the gospel from our neck of the woods to the ears of those beyond our community and to the ends of the earth!

Matthew 6:9-10
While prayer is the acknowledgement of our inability, that doesn't mean that it is an excuse for our inaction. Prayer is acknowledging our complete and total dependence upon God, but that dependence does not entitle us to simply sit back and do nothing. In fact, it is precisely the opposite. God has given us work to do in His kingdom, and it is in the doing of this work that requires dependence on our part. Praying to God does not remove our responsibilities in the world. Rather, it is because of the responsibilities and burdens that He has given us that we need to be empowered by God through prayer.
You will hear 2 different voices in these recordings. Troy Westmoreland and Cory Martinez are the co-pastors of Bald Mountain Baptist Church. The calling for every Christian is to take the gospel to the ends of the earth. Well, where does the earth begin and where does it end? For us at Bald Mountain Baptist Church, the world begins in the Shumont Community on top of a little peak in Buncombe County, NC. Our prayer is that through this platform we might do our part in reaching the ends of the earth with the gospel!
