The Mountaintop Gospel

The Greatest Frontier

Troy Westmoreland Season 1 Episode 15

Proverbs 18:1-2; Proverbs 16:1-2, 25, 32; Proverbs 23:23-26; Psalm 139

Meriwether Lewis and William Clark helmed one of greatest expeditions of all time. After the Louisiana purchase in 1803, they would embark on a journey that will be remembered as long as history is recorded. They set out to map part of one of the greatest frontiers that has ever been know to man- the American West. Yet, Troy argues that there is one frontier that is greater than any frontier known or unknown- the human heart. It is a frontier that is violent, raging, dangerous, containing hidden valleys and perilous mountain peaks. The fool has no desire but that his heart would discover itself. Today's message is that we must learn to pioneer our own hearts and bring them under the Lordship of Jesus Christ no matter the cost.

The calling for every Christian is to take the gospel to the ends of the earth. Well, where does the earth begin and where does it end? For us at Bald Mountain Baptist Church, the world begins in the Shumont Community on top of a little peak in Buncombe County, NC. Our prayer is that through this platform we might do our part in reaching the ends of the earth with the gospel!

We are working on getting our back-content uploaded, please bear with us. We unfortunately began recording part-way through a long series on prayer, but have since moved out of that series and have started a new series on the heart. We at Bald Mountain Baptist Church are so glad you have joined us here, and our prayer is that you are blessed by this message!

Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof. Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.
Isaiah 42:10-11

Troy Westmoreland and Cory Martinez are the co-pastors of Bald Mountain Baptist Church. They alternate on a semi-regular basis, and our prayer is that their insights from the Word of God may richly bless all those who stop by our neck of the woods!
