It’s about a Boston tenement kid, born in 1939, clawing his way out of poverty by being hard-working, creative, persistent, entrepreneurial and by taking risks often. There are also stories of my later life in Boston, Cambridge and New England. If you like old Boston stories or Irish-American stories or old Cambridge stories, this is your podcast. The Brinks Robbery thieves took about $2.8 million dollars total, which is roughly equivalent to $37 million in today’s dollars. Only about $60,000 was ever recovered. It was called “the perfect crime” because of its meticulous planning, clean execution, and the long delay in solving it. Both Boston thugs, Anthony “Fats” Pino and Joseph “Big Joe” McGinnis are credited as the organizers and masterminds.
