God, It’s Me, Sharon: Redefining the Divine from the Inside Out
Ever wrestled with the word “God”? Wondered if there’s space for your beliefs when tradition left you bruised? Or maybe you’ve simply felt a whisper inside calling you deeper—but you’re not sure what to call it.
In this special “World According to Sharon” episode, Rev. Sharon Renae takes us on a deeply personal and expansive journey into the question: What is God, really? With humor, honesty, and profound spiritual insight, she explores:
- Why so many of us feel “religiously wounded”—and how to heal
- The human habit of putting God on a throne (with a beard!)
- What Jesus, Buddha, and others really pointed us toward
- How God isn’t outside of us, but within us—as unconditional love
- The power of free will, growth, and co-creation with the Divine
- What it means to live from the Christ within—and how to hear its voice
Whether you’re rebuilding your faith, reshaping your language around the sacred, or just curious about Sharon’s take, this episode invites you to come home to yourself.
✨ Spoiler: God’s not mad at you. In fact, God might just sound a whole lot like love.

God, It’s Me, Sharon: Redefining the Divine from the Inside Out
By Rev. Sharon Renae | Spiritually Centered Podcast
What if everything you’ve been taught about God is too small?
In this special podcast episode, I explore one of the most personal, powerful questions we can ask on the spiritual path: What is God? And just as importantly—what isn’t?
Like so many of us, I’ve wrestled with that word. “God” can carry a lot of baggage—judgment, fear, old church wounds, or memories of being told we had to be perfect to be loved. But what if God isn’t a man on a throne with a scorecard? What if God is something deeper, kinder, and much closer?
💫 A God Who’s Not Mad at You
For me, God is not a punisher or gatekeeper. God is energy. Divine, unshakable, unconditional love. It’s the breath in your body, the whisper in your intuition, the grace that meets you when you mess up and says, “Keep going—I’m still here.”
This episode invites you to rethink the version of God you’ve been handed. Maybe it never quite fit. Maybe it hurt you. That’s okay. There’s another way to see it.
🌀 God Within, Not Just Above
Jesus wasn’t trying to build walls. He was trying to show us that God lives within us. That spark, that light, that voice that nudges you forward—that is God. And when we align with it, everything changes: our health, our peace, our joy, our choices.
The “second coming”? I believe it’s when we each awaken to the Christ within us. When we forgive ourselves. When we stop trying to earn love we already have. When we say, “God, it’s me,” and know that’s more than enough.
🛑 Let Go of the Old Stories
I’ve had to forgive God. Maybe you have too. I’ve also had to forgive the stories I was taught—stories that said I wasn’t worthy unless I met someone else’s version of salvation. But that’s not the truth of who we are.
This episode is for anyone who’s ever felt too wounded, too doubtful, or too unconventional to be spiritual. If you’ve felt that nudge in your spirit, that yearning for something deeper—you’re not broken. You’re waking up.
🌱 In This Episode, I Share:
- Why “God” can be a loaded word—and how to heal that wound
- The difference between humanized God and energetic, divine Love
- How free will is a sacred gift, not a test
- Why God grows through you
- What it means to live from the Christ-light within
You're not here to be perfect. You’re here to grow, to love, to co-create. And yes, God is already right there with you.
So... what if you let that be enough?
