The Messy Miracle of Forgiveness

By Reverend Sharon Renae

Let’s be real—forgiveness is not easy. In fact, it’s one of the most challenging things we’re ever asked to do as spiritual beings in human bodies.

This week on the Spiritually Centered Podcast, I want to speak directly to that inner place where pain still lives. The part of you that says, “I want to let go… but I don’t know how.”

Whether it’s betrayal from a loved one, anger you carry toward someone long gone, or guilt over something in your past—you are not alone. Forgiveness isn’t about pretending nothing happened. It’s not about excusing, erasing, or even reconciling.

Forgiveness is freedom.
It’s a gift you give yourself.
It’s how we make space again—for joy, for peace, for divine love to move.

Sometimes, we even need to forgive ourselves… or God. And yes, it can be messy. But inside that mess is a miracle—a realignment with our true spiritual nature, which is love.

In this episode, I share personal stories, practical spiritual tools, and soul-deep insights to help you shift from resentment to release. It won’t happen all at once. But it can happen.

And when it does? You’ll feel the miracle.
