Some people come into the role of riverkeeper as they grow, others are born to it. There are few people in deeper proactive relationship with the catchments of the northern rivers than Kristin den Exter. Landcare, Richmond Riverkeeper, Jagun Alliance, Kristin’s motto is collaboration for resilience – ecological resilience, social resilience, relational resilience –  things that at the end of the day, are all one in the same, serving the same purpose, to heal and to prosper. Kristin is an extraordinary character, much like the river itself, of power and of flow. Of listening and of leading.

The driving force behind this podcast and a keeper of a lifetime’s worth of knowledge…passed down from her parents  and collected through so many along the way.

Kristin is a symbol of why when it comes to healthy rivers, working (and playing) with others, matters. Possibly more than anything else.
