The Trail Ahead
For too long, men have been told to suffer in silence—to be strong by holding it all in. But true strength is found in vulnerability, in sharing our struggles, and in choosing to heal. This podcast is a safe space for men to open up about their deepest wounds, the obstacles they've faced, and the moments that changed everything.
From loss and addiction to self-doubt and redemption, every episode is a testament to resilience, reminding us that no man has to walk this path alone. Because true power isn’t in pretending to have it all together—it’s in the courage to break, to heal, and to rise again.

The Trail Ahead - Episode 011: The Label Isn’t the Healing
This episode is personal. I’m sharing reflections from a recent AA talk I was invited to give—an experience that cracked something open in me. I spoke about sobriety, yes, but more than that, I spoke about the danger of stopping there. About how easy it is to grab hold of a label—addict, alcoholic, broken—and let it define us. Sometimes we wear that label like it’s who we are, but healing doesn’t live in a name. Healing lives in the why. Why were we numbing? What was so loud inside us that we had to silence it with a substance?
Getting sober was a door. But walking through it meant facing everything I was running from. In this episode, I go deep into the messy, necessary work of looking at the pain beneath the pattern, the root beneath the reaction. This is about more than quitting. It’s about becoming.
