Matt Maier
Matt Maier is a leading regenerative agriculture farmer, holistically raising cattle on his family farm in Clearwater, Minnesotan. After a 20-year career working in conventional food marketing, he returned to the family farm—only to witness the beautiful rolling farmland and wetlands devasted by decades of tilling to sow an extractive rotation of monoculture GMO corn and soy crops. Significantly affected by seeing this degradation, Matt researched solutions and found grass-fed beef as an effective and efficient way to regenerate soil and natural habitats. He began to understand that his true purpose and passion was to contribute to the improvement of the U.S. food system by implementing regenerative agriculture land management practices. What started as a 100- acre project on his family’s farm has grown into today’s Thousand Hills Lifetime Grazed, a national leader in grass fed beef sourcing from 50+ hand-selected, like-minded U.S. family farms.
