We sat down with Canadian actor, activist, author, and former professional hockey player Harrison Browne for one of our favourite conversations yet.

Harrison made history as the first openly transgender athlete in professional hockey, and now he's making history again as part of the cast of the breakout LGBTQ+ drama Heated Rivalry, playing Connors on the Boston Raiders alongside Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie.

Harrison talks about booking Heated Rivalry, what it's been like watching the show explode globally, and the real moments behind the fandom frenzy. We get into his book Let Us Play, written alongside his sister, what being an openly trans actor in this moment actually looks like, and what's next on the vision board.

Plus, the Pussycat Dolls' Carmit solo era, Olivia Rodrigo's The Cure, and Charli XCX's SS26. Don't worry, it wouldn't be a PopTake episode without us chatting music (and giving our hot takes).
