Welcome to House of Sovereignty, a space for women who are ready to come back to themselves in love, relationships, and life. I'm Marla Martinson, matchmaker, coach, and intuitive. And in each episode, I'll be sharing stories, insights, and a little bit of magic so you can start seeing things more clearly, trusting yourself more deeply, and experiencing love in a different way. I was in North County, San Diego last week. I attended an in-person workshop with James von Prague, one of my mediumship teachers, and there were about 40 of us. And it was held in a hotel right by the ocean in Solana Beach. And it was so freaking magical. We worked on mediumship skills, psychic skills. And my husband Adolfo came down and uh we brought Macy, our dog, and while I was at the workshop, he just hung out, went to the there's this uh like Yogananda temple down there, and he went to the beach and hung out while I was um while I was uh in class, and then he'd pick me up at the end of the day, and that was on a Wednesday and a Thursday. So we came in Tuesday night, we stayed at the Hilton, and then I had the classes Wednesday, Thursday, and then Friday. We headed home. But I just want to share with you some amazing synchronicities that I encountered because I'm all about um living your life so connected, and um you'll notice the synchronicities. I think I spoke about that in the last episode. I I'm probably gonna share my synchronicities, something that happens in every episode, because once you're living from that space, I mean, there's no going back. It's just like so amazing. So the first synchronicity was I was paired up with this woman um named Gina, and we were giving each other a reading. Uh so when it was her turn, she brought in, she did bring in my mom. So everybody's on the other side. My brother, my father, my mother, my both my grandparents, you know, like there's more people over there in the spirit world than there is here with me now. But she did bring in my mom and um also my dad. So just we're putting that on the side there. Um, and this woman, Gina, she was so beautiful, and I uh complimented her jeans. I said, Wow, those are really beautiful jeans. I really love your jeans. And she goes, Oh, they're um spanks. They're created by the woman who who made spanks. I said, Oh gosh. I said, you know, she also makes a shoe called Sneaks, S-N-E-E-X. And I said, I love it. And she goes, Oh yeah, I think she knows this woman that created it or someone who works with her because she had just texted them or the team or whatever. I don't know why. What, but but uh I said, oh yeah, I said those um sneaks, they're expensive. They're like between four and six hundred dollars for a pair. It's like a pair of sneakers, but with a high heel, and I guess they're just so freaking comfortable and they look so cool. And it's on my list to buy one day. I'm not gonna do it now. Um, I've got a lot of shoes and they are on the high end, so I'm and you can only get it online, you can't try them on. But I'm I'm they're like I'm I'm on their newsletter, so I'm always seeing their new, um, their new colors, and I want to get the red one. So we were talking about them, right? I was talking about these sneaks. I've never seen them anywhere, I've never seen anyone wear them, not once. I've only seen them like on Instagram, and I get them in my newsletter in the newsletter, in my inbox, right? So, anyway, okay, so then uh we go to lunch and everybody disperses and stuff. So when I'm coming back into the hotel to go to the um conference room, I go into the lobby and there's a a woman sitting in the lobby, uh, and I look down and what is she wearing? Sneaks. She's wearing a pair of sneaks. And I said to the woman, Are those sneaks? And she says, Yes. I said, Oh my God, I I they're on my list. I want a pair. I've been talking about them earlier today. And she goes, Oh, they are so comfortable. I've wear, I can wear, you know, I wear these all the time, all day. They're the best shoes ever. And so I was like, oh my gosh. And so that was like this synchronicity that I mean, there's no coincidence in that, right? That that and so that's a sign, yes, I'm gonna get a pair one day. But then the next morning, so I do mediumship and psychic work and intuitive work and energy work, right? So I do feel a lot of things in my body, and I will feel energy at the crown, and I feel like when the spirits are coming close to connect and all that. So I was um, I got up the next morning. Um, Adolpho is still in bed. I get up early because I need to take Macy. Our dog Macy is 60, almost 16. She's blind, almost deaf. She's, you know, so I take her for long walks in the morning, in the evening. I have a uh a purple, I call it her purple chariot. I have it's a stroller. And so anyway, I got up uh with Macy, got her in the stroller, was gonna take her out uh for the morning walk. And I was standing waiting for my um coffee. I was gonna get a to-go cup of coffee. So I'm standing there by the restaurant. They have some to-go coffee, and I'm waiting in line. There's one person ahead of me, and I I felt all of a sudden, I felt like my mother, I felt like I was my mother waiting in line for coffee. I just kind of felt this merge with her. And I could cry right now because I miss her so much. We're really close. See, I'm I'm a crier, so if I cry on these podcasts, all right. So um anyway, it was like, oh yeah, I'm I know. I think you're here, mom. I think you're here with me. So anyway, we uh, you know, go to breakfast and all that, and then go to class, go back to the hotel, and I'm in class, and we're sitting, and James, the teacher, is like um given a QA, and we can all ask questions, raise our hand, uh share. And I said, Hey, I just want to share this. I was standing in line and I told him how I felt my mom merged with me. And and then um after I spoke, Gina, the gal with the sneaks, with the not the sneaks, but the jeans, right? That connected with my mom the day before in a reading, she raised her hand, she goes, Oh, I just want to comment that Marla this morning when I was getting coffee, I felt your mother and she came to me. I felt her when I was getting coffee. So I was like, Oh my god, mom's having coffee with us. So it was just so beautiful. And then, all right, I gotta tell you this, you guys. I gotta tell you this. So, so uh Adolph, so the let's see, the first um day we ran over like an hour, and I texted Adolfo, and he there was an there's an Italian restaurant right next to that hotel where we're having our class, right? So Adolfo texted me. He goes, I'm just next door at the restaurant, I'm chatting with the owner. I think his name is Antonio, I think. Anyway, he goes, he's from Palermo, from Sicily, and um we're just having a great conversation. And I said, Okay, I'll meet you thereafter. So I went over there and he goes, Oh my gosh, this guy is so cool. He owns the restaurant and he's from Palermo. And see, my grandmother, uh my mom's mom, Rose, her family's from Sicily. My my great-grandparents came from Sicily, and I said, Oh, hey, maybe he's a from Palermo, uh, from Prizi, from a place called Prizi, which is right near near Palermo. So I said, Hey, maybe that guy's my relative, you know? And so we decided to have dinner there. And then he came out, and Adolfo goes, Oh, that's Antonio. I said, Hey, Antonio, um I Adolfo said, You're from Palermo. I have family from Pritzi. He goes, Oh my god, Pritzi, let me tell you about Pritzi. I gotta tell you. And then he went back, I go, okay, okay. He went back in the kitchen. And when he came out, I said, Hey, Antonio, tell me about Pritzi. What's it what's the deal? So he sat down and he goes, Well, that's where we're from. And my aunt, I have an aunt there, and all this. He goes, and I said, he goes, Um, what's your family name? And I said, Orlando. And he goes, Orlando, oh my god, my that's my family's name. My aunt is Orlando. And I said, Well, my grandmother, my um grandmother, my great-grandmother's carmel was Carmela Orlando. He goes, That's my aunt's name, Carmella Orlando. He goes, We have have to be related. You have to be related because it's a very small town. Paritzi is very small. He goes, You're probably related. And I'm like, oh my God, if I'm related to her, then I'm related to you, and you're my long-lost cousin or something, you know? And uh it was just so, and I go, what's your last name? And he says, My last name is Tarantino. So he was so great. We had the best time, and I was like, the synchronicities are just so magical. And the funny thing is, my uncle, my mom's younger brother, is going with his girlfriend to Palermo. They're going to Sicily in September. And she kept saying, his girlfriend, Sue kept saying, Um, my uncle's name's Gary, and Sue kept saying, Oh, Gary, you should try to find some long-lost relatives there. And he's like, How can I do that? You know, and they don't speak Italian or anything. So so, and then I texted Gary, I said, I think I've I found a relative. So it was so fun. So, anyway, my um suggestion, uh, I'm always suggesting to really just be open to synchronicities and and and um being grounded and in your body and able to receive, receive it. So I want to share before I end this episode, I want to share a couple of things. Um so one of them, with with what's going on in Iran now, with this rescue mission that's happening, these people, I used to live in Iran uh when I was 16 in 1978. Um my parent, my dad had a job with a communications company, and it was the best, most profound um time of my life, I would say, that really opened me up to other people, cultures, ideas, sight, sounds, language, uh, music. And um so I have a just in honor, because I know the people there, they're really, they really want regime, regime change. That regime is so brutal. Just in, I think just in January, they slaughtered 40,000 people, the protesters. So they are willing, at this point, they're willing to sacrifice their lives to to change this regime, to do whatever it takes. They've been under such tyranny for 40 uh almost 50 years, 47, 50 years. And uh so I just wanna I so I bought this book and it's uh Iranian mythical creatures, and they and uh it's a beautiful uh book bound um with a black color and gold, um black and gold, and it has these mythical creatures in there, just a little description, and uh one of them is the bird of prayer, Morge Amin. And the bird of prayer, or in Persian Morge Amin, is an ever-flying angel, always listening. If it happens to be soaring overhead while someone prays, it carries their words to the heavens, ensuring their wish or plea is answered. The name Amin is also the Persian word for Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky. Just as people pray to Morga Amin, they also wish upon Sirius, believing it holds the power to grant their deepest desires. So when you go out at night, you can look up into the night sky and you can look at that bright star, Sirius, and you can wish upon it. And isn't that right? When we were children, we used to say wish upon a star. And it was in the fairy tales and everything. So wish upon a star, right? All right, and now I have um one other thing. This is from the Isis Oracle deck, and I picked a card for us, and I'm just gonna read from the book because it's really um powerful. And this is Divine Guardian, protection of the winged mother. Big spiritual growth can bring difficult challenges. Through such challenges, an initiate can gain wisdom, power, and awareness, and leave behind fears that once held them captive, free from past restrictions, free to live a life that is truly extraordinary and inspirational. Yet the challenges can feel deeply confronting. The initiate may be tested to stay true to their own beliefs, even if their loved ones do not understand or support them. Or they may be required to let go of what they have known to embrace, something completely unfamiliar, and this may be uncomfortable for them, and they may fear losing love, support, safety, or friendship as they venture into a new life. These kinds of spiritual growth opportunities are presented when the initiate is ready for them, even though this readiness might not seem obvious. The oracle of the divine guardian arises because you, dear initiate of the light, are venturing into a significant time on your spiritual path. There is a process cooking within you and which may already be mirrored in your outer life circumstances that are actually challenging you to grow. It might look like an opportunity or it might appear as a crisis, but no matter what the appearance, you are being guided to take the risks that intuitively feel right for you and have faith. You will be safely guided by the unconditional love of the Lady Isis with wings outstretched and sword of truth in hand, protected from false images that would lead you astray from your true path. The oracle is also confirmation that you've been receiving impressions and inner nudges that are from your higher guidance, which has been helping you with situations that are currently unfolding in your life and will continue to do so. You are spiritually speaking on the right track. No matter whether your life circumstances appear to be heading in one direction at one moment, and then in a completely different direction the next moment, or whether you feel things are a certain way in truth, only to find that the next day they seem to be different. These are all just signs of growth into a new consciousness. Life does not have to be fixed or even clear at times in order for you to be safe. Isis is with you, all is well. This oracle comes as guidance that if you have been worried about another, they are protected. Whether this is someone alive at this time or being a being that has departed the physical world and returned to spirit, they are free from suffering, pain, and trauma now, and all is well. If you wish to send a blessing to a beloved, you can do so. Okay, so that is just a message for all of us to stay on our path no matter what anyone else thinks. I have a friend who was had been worried for so long. She wanted to go on on uh Facebook Live or or show up giving, uh pulling some oracle cards like I do, and and uh giving, sharing her magical gifts. And she was so worried what her high school friends would think, or what some other friends from her past would think about her or judge her. And I said, Hey, you came here with your special gifts for a reason. It's not um who knows what's in their mind. We can't read minds and it doesn't matter. And James von Prague, my mediumship teacher, he says, other people's opinion of you is none of your business. All right, so stay on your path. And I listened um to I was listening, I think it was Neville Goddard Goddard Goddard, Neville Goddard. Uh I was listening on YouTube to one of his talks, and uh one of the things he said was, if something, an interest, a talent has been put inside of you, you it is meant for you. Because sometimes we'll think, oh my gosh, how could I do that? You know, you there there's this burning desire to do something, maybe it's mediumship or or singing or doing something, that you have this burning desire, you have such a deep interest, but then we say, Well, but who am I to do it? Well, it wouldn't have been put in put in you. It wouldn't have um that spark, that interest wouldn't have arrived to you, to in your presence, in your being, in your body, and your awareness if you weren't meant, if it wasn't meant for you, if you weren't didn't come into this world with that talent or interest.
