Ever felt the pressure to hide your true self just to protect your career...or your sense of safety? On this week’s The BabyGay™ Podcast, host PJ Brescia (they/them) sits down with comedian, activist, and podcast host Dana Goldberg, a fellow Out100 Honoree from the 2025 class, for a powerful conversation about coming out, creativity, and choosing authenticity when the stakes feel high.
Dana shares the moment she had to decide whether to be out on stage, after watching other comedians’ careers suffer for that choice...and how comedy ultimately became the thing that helped save her life. From finding queer community and chosen family, to raising over $70 million for LGBTQ+ causes, to co-hosting The Daily Beans, Dana reflects on how humor, honesty, and courage can change lives.
We talk about the real fear behind coming out, why authenticity matters more than perfection, and the advice Dana would give her “baby self”...and anyone still learning to trust who they are.
