Here’s what happens when you stop trying to fit into society’s expectations and finally embrace your true identity...

On this week’s BabyGay™ Podcast, host PJ Brescia (they/them) sits down with Joji Florence (they/them), non-binary educator, activist, and co-founder of Miss Major Middle — a groundbreaking genderful, tuition-free public middle school opening in Brooklyn, New York in Fall 2027.

Joji opens up about growing up in Milwaukee, navigating gender from an early age, coming out later in life, and learning to embrace life outside of traditional boxes. Together, PJ and Joji have an emotional and powerful conversation about being non-binary, pronouns, transitioning, queer visibility, LGBTQ+ youth, and what it means to stop “performing” gender and start living authentically.

They also dive into the inspiration behind Miss Major Middle, a revolutionary new school model designed to create joyful, affirming spaces where LGBTQ+ students can fully explore who they are through storytelling, creativity, performance, and community.

Coming out looks good on you!
