Baby Gay: Queer Culture Unfiltered
The BabyGay™ Podcast drops every Thursday...your front-row seat to real, unfiltered queer stories. Hosted by PJ Brescia (they/them) — a 2025 Out100 honoree — and recorded at the iconic Black Cat in Silverlake, CA, birthplace of queer resistance.
Each week, PJ sits down with incredible guests to talk about coming out, awkward first kisses, career paths, and those big, beautiful “aha” moments that make us who we are. It’s funny, heartfelt, and unapologetically queer.
Beyond the mic, BabyGay™ is a community — the team behind the campaign that helped make National Coming Out Day an official Los Angeles city holiday, and creators of the Welcome-Wagon Box initiative, supporting people through their coming out journey.
Subscribe, share, and join our chosen family. Whether you’re questioning, newly out, or just love authentic LGBTQ+ stories... you’re exactly where you’re meant to be. And remember: there’s no “right way” to be queer.
Welcome to BabyGay. Coming out looks good on you! 🌈

On this week's BabyGay™ Podcast, host PJ Brescia (they/them) goes live from Point Foundation's National Leadership Conference in Los Angeles with three leaders from Point's Board and Educational Advisory Board:
- Chris Go (he/him), Chief of Staff at equalpride, publisher of Out and The Advocate
- Dr. Christopher Nizer (he/him), a Bay Area chiropractor and six-year Point board member
- Alex Alvendia-Wienkers (he/him), Executive Director of College Counseling
Three very different coming out stories. Dr. Nizer came out to his family the week after one night at a gay bar in Atlanta changed everything. Chris Go grew up Christian conservative, called it his cross to bear, and found his liberation on the Fourth of July. Alex was a recruited D1 soccer player in a sport where being out didn't feel possible...fast forward, he went on to captain West Hollywood Soccer Club to gold at the 2018 Gay Games in Paris.
We talk about the divas who found us before we found ourselves, the Black Cat's place in queer history, building community 3,000 miles from home in Lima, Peru, and why so many young queer people still turn to media to see themselves first…plus why storytelling is crucial to our existence.
Through Point Foundation, these three incredible role models are helping LGBTQ+ and ally students access scholarships, mentorship, and a community that lasts long after graduation.
