And if you just want to find out what the businesses are in your community and have a great time, that's a good event.

Speaker 2:It's almost my age three years younger than me. That's awesome, that is awesome, sweet.
Speaker 1:Well, anything else happening? Or is that all that's?
Speaker 2:happening Busy weekend Busy weekend we're getting into summer it's going to be like this and you know, remember no left turns.
Speaker 1:That's right.
Speaker 2:There you go, okay.
Speaker 1:All right, Janine, you ready to give us some relationship advice? I will try.
Speaker 1:All right here's the story. I'm going to read it as the lady. My husband recently visited his home country and ran into a female high school classmate from 30 years ago. They caught up over drinks and he told me all about it. I was totally fine with it. He even called me afterward, happy to have reconnected, and mentioned he's now married. Uh, or she's now married. But when he returned home I noticed they'd been texting daily until the day he left. She asked me. She asked to meet again and although he said he didn't have time, they had more calls. After he got home, she messaged to ask if he landed safely. Then came the duck-faced Easter selfie. That one threw me. I told him it felt like a boundary was being crossed and he agreed it was weird, responded politely. But now she's texting again asking for more pictures. I trust him, but I can't help wondering what happened that rekindled this connection so strongly? What would you do?
Speaker 2:This one is kind of difficult because you don't really know, it might be the girl just texting a lot more to him or just whatever else, and she just needs to be totally open and honest about her feelings to her husband and just say gosh, this is making me feel this way, are you concerned? I just feel like I'm a little uneasy about it. She needs to be just super, super honest, see his reaction and if his reaction's a little strange or there's something funny, you know, she could say, hey, you know, maybe we need to talk to somebody. What's going on here, you know? Because she needs to follow her feelings. But be super, super honest, trust him right now and just tell him how she's feeling and just keep saying super honest about it and just say is this, do you think he's you know, saying super honest about it and just say is this, do you think you should, you know? And if he's, you know, he might just say, gosh, I need to distance myself from this person, you know right, because we shouldn't be texting all the time.
Speaker 1:Yeah that's what I would do. Yeah, I would. I would say I block her, or I would just say hey, you know it makes my wife uncomfortable that we're texting so much. It was great reconnecting with you and leave me alone yeah, maybe not use the.
Speaker 2:Bring the into it. You don't want to sell her out. Yeah, but you want to? Um yeah, because then she sees a weakness, that girl, if she is predatory. She sees a weakness in the wife and she won't stop. He needs to just say, hey, um, I'm super busy, Sorry, and just kind of just ignore her. Start ignoring her a little bit, Just ghost her.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, I'm so funny. My instinct was just to throw my wife under the bus.
Speaker 2:And also that really, if somebody threw yeah, throwing me under the bus, I'd be like, okay, hey, buddy, that's bigger than the problem. Here I'm. Yeah, you don't blame, blame your wife, just just handle it yourself and just distance yourself. If it's making your wife uncomfortable, you know that whole thing, cause it's not. Yeah.
Speaker 1:Woo, woo, yee, yee, paul from Beaumont. What do you got going on this Thursday morning man, just glad the rain's gone, just sitting here picking stuff up in Houston. Heck, yeah, today is New Kids on the Block Day. Were you a New Kids on the Block fan? No, no, was Rhonda. Was your wife? Uh, she could have, I think she was. What about your daughters growing up? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, they do. Yeah, they were. Who'd they like NSYNC? Yeah, yeah, they liked all that stuff. Did you ever have to take one of your daughters to a boy band concert? Nope, nope. What's the worst concert you ever had to take any of your daughters to? You know you had to take them to nuts. Oh, really.
Speaker 2:I do think riding in them a year year and a half ago they did go see.
Speaker 1:Oh, who was it? Oh, not New Kids on the Block, but the other one. What's the other one Backstreet?
Speaker 2:Boys yeah, they went to go see them in Houston.
Speaker 1:Oh, I want it that way. Yeah Well, in honor of New Kids on the Block Day, how about we play a game called Boy Band or Bait Shop? I'm going to give you a name and you have to tell me if it's a boy band or the name of a bait shop. You ready? Okay, alright, first one O-Town.
Speaker 2:Paul, paul, oh, oh, okay, I'm going to say Boy Band.
Speaker 1:They are out of Orlando, Florida. There we go. Next one Yum Ding. I don't care where they're from Yum Dinger Bait Shop. Yes, yes, it's a top soft bait. Good job. Two for two.
Speaker 2:next one pretty ricky uh man, that sounds like pretty.
Speaker 1:I would say boy or bait shop no, it's a single, it's an R&B band from Miami, sorry. And next one I'm glad I don't know all that I know. Next one Bama Craw, that's going to be a bait shop. Yep, that's a crawdad color jig right there. And last one Dream Street.
Speaker 1:I'm going to say boy band, dream Street Bait shop. No, it is a a boy band. That's what I said at first. No, no, I'm sorry. No, you didn't say you said a bait shop. No, first I said boy band. Oh, okay, all right, I'll give it to you. That was boy band or bait shop on this.
Speaker 1:New kids on the block day, paul, I thought for are you smarter than a redneck? We would test our knowledge on boy bands. Here we go. Which is the best-selling boy band with more than 130 million album sales? Is it the jackson five? Westlife, take that. Or backstreet boys, paul paul, jackson five, jackson five, that's what I would say. It is Jackson 5. Paul, congratulations, you are up 1-0. Next question which boy band was formed at Gary, indiana? Was it Boyz II Men, new Kids on the Block, the Jackson 5, or Take that, chris, the Jackson 5. Yeah, ding, ding, ding. Okay, we are tied at one apiece. This next question will determine who the winner is. Which boy band would associate the brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight? Is it New Kids on the Block, nsync, boyz II Men, or Take that, paul Paul, boyz II Men, I'm going to say New Kids on the Block. Correct answer New Kids on the Block. Good for you, paul, I got the right stuff. Heck, yes, I'm smarter than a redneck.
Speaker 2:Oh Okay, I'll call.
Speaker 1:Okay, gotta go, bro. All right, see you, buddy. Okay, bye. Good morning, it's the Morning Brew with Chris. Who's this?
Speaker 2:Hey, good morning, my friend.
Speaker 1:Oh, virgil, our favorite cowboy from Eager Arizona, I've been thinking about you. I know yesterday was a tough day. You recently lost one of your cowgirls, a friend of yours. How are you holding up? We're doing okay. We're doing okay. What do you guys got on the agenda today? We're going to take her horse out, way out in the mountain to the pasture, nice, and then that's just where the horse is now retired. Yeah, nobody's ever going to ride it, nobody's ever going to touch it. Oh, such a beautiful tribute. Are there any other like cowboy tributes? You, you do, or is that the big one? Yeah, that's what we usually do. We don't let nobody ride the horses anymore.
Speaker 1:Because it's theirs, right right, so you're going to take the horse out to pasture, and then what else that's about it? Because we have to haul a long way, right, right. How far do you ride on your horse, do you think?
Speaker 2:Oh man, I don't know, I don't count it.
Speaker 1:Like 20 miles a day, sometimes, probably. Sometimes, yeah, holy moly, and you don't get sore or you just get used to riding on a horse. Get used to it. We're raised with it, right? Oh yeah, you're raised with it from the very beginning. Which reminds me today is actually take your kid to work day. So, growing up, your parents would take you to work on the ranch. I lost my mom and dad a long time ago.
Speaker 1:Oh no, how old were you when you started working on the ranch? About 10 years old, 10 years old. And what was your first job on the ranch? Helping cook. Helping cook Ooh, I bet you're a good cook. Yeah, I am, yeah. What's your specialty? And do you cook at like Dutch oven, like out when you're out on the range, yeah, or over a grill Grill. And what's your specialty? Steaks. Ooh, that sounds real good Cowboy steaks.
Speaker 2:Well, virgil, what can I do for you today? Oh, these ladies right here. They want to hear a song from George Strait. Like the Cowboy Rides Away, oh absolutely.
Speaker 1:Well, I don't have that one, but I do have George Strait, the Cowboy Rides Away going out in tribute to your dear friend. Make sure you guys travel safe as you're taking her horse out. Yeah, we will All right. We love you guys and have a great day. Shout out to all our cowboys and cowgirls out there.
