Ever wonder what makes small-town radio so magical? It's those genuine connections that happen when a host like Chris Bennett welcomes familiar voices into the Morning Brew and creates moments that reflect the heart of a community.
Today's show delivered a perfect blend of casual conversation and local celebrations. We caught up with Brian from Pinedale who took us through some rapid-fire questions, reminiscing about the 1950s and laughing about the return of bell bottoms. Meanwhile, we talked Jineane who is in Las Vegas where she was about to experience Kenny Chesney at the spectacular Sphere venue. Did you know this engineering marvel stands 366 feet tall with an astounding 160,000 square feet of LED screens? Jineane's excitement was contagious as she prepared for what promised to be an unforgettable concert experience.
The local community calendar highlighted the Cruz'n The Rim Car Show happening in Show Low this weekend. Starting with Friday night's Burger Burn and continuing Saturday at Frontier Park, this free admission event supports the Salvation Army of The White Mountains while showcasing classic automobiles. Our friend Dave Ramsey from Show Low Zone joined for a special "Boo or Cool" segment, rating everything from the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile (cool) to Tesla's Cybertruck (decidedly not cool). With National Donut Day coinciding with our broadcast, we had plenty of sweet discussions about favorite pastry preferences.
The highlight of our morning came when Mountain Pines Little League coaches visited the studio to announce their 2025 All-Star selections. Hearing these dedicated volunteer coaches speak about watching young players develop their skills reminded us why community sports programs matter so much. Each team announcement represented not just talented young athletes, but the culmination of a season's worth of growth, teamwork, and community support.
Join us next week for more local conversations, community updates, and the unique brand of connection that makes the Morning Brew your favorite way to start the day. Have a comment about today's show or an idea for a future segment? We'd love to hear from you!

Speaker 1Is that your daughter? Yep Lillian, how hard is it to coach your own kid? Because I would never listen to my dad. I can't imagine it would be easy.

Speaker 5Watching the girls develop. Like all the other coaches said, it's amazing seeing them step on the field not knowing how to play and then, at the end of the season, they look like real ballplayers.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, I love it. And at the end of the season, they look like real ballplayers. Yeah, yeah, I love it. That's awesome. Well, thank you all for everything you did this season, because Little League doesn't happen without the help of the volunteers and the coaches to make it happen.
