The Morning Brew with Chris Bennett
Cyber Monday Brew: Hallmark Review, Disney Day Motivation & Redneck Trivia
We kick off this Cyber Monday episode with a Hallmark Christmas Movie Review from Andrea—today it’s We Met in December, a cozy missed-connection romance that delivers great chemistry and a four-cup cocoa score.
Since it’s Walt Disney Day, Motivational Monday is all about Disney wisdom. With Jineane Ford out, Show Low’s Dave Ramsey fills in and helps pick today’s quote:
“The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.”
We break down how that one line can fuel your week—less overthinking, more taking the first step.
From there we jump into Cyber Monday Boo or Cool, running through trending deals and debating what’s worth grabbing this year.
We wrap the show with a check-in from Paul in Beaumont—fresh off a hunting weekend—and then a round of Are You Smarter Than a Redneck? featuring Disney trivia. Paul takes the win… and can now proudly announce he’s “going to Disney World!”
It’s a cozy, funny, Disney-powered Monday to get your week rolling.

From the Horn Auto Center Studios, Chris Bennett and the Morning Brew. And now it's time for Chris's wife to give us her Christmas Hallmark movie reviews. Alright, my love, what Hallmark Christmas movie from the 2025 collection are we reviewing this morning?
SPEAKER_01:We are reviewing We Met in December.
SPEAKER_00:We met in December. Hmm, here's what I think it's about. I think it's about uh two people uh that were feeling down in the dumps about uh it being December and Christmas, and they were lonely, so they went on Tinder and they found love, uh, but only for December. And when people said, Hey, when'd you meet? They say, in December. Am I right or am I wrong? You're wrong. Gosh dang it. All right, what's this one really about?
SPEAKER_01:So this is about two people that meet when their plane is diverted by a storm, and the airline puts them up at a hotel, and they just hit it off, and they stay up all night getting to know one another, and the next morning he oversleeps and he misses the flight and realizes that while they talked all night, they didn't actually exchange contact info. And so all they know is each other's first name and that they're both from Chicago. And the rest of the movie is them just missing each other as they try to use clues from their conversation to find each other. It was a really sweet movie.
SPEAKER_00:That sounds good. Um, how many uh cups of hot cocoa do you give this one out of a scale of one to five?
SPEAKER_01:I give it four cups of hot cocoa.
SPEAKER_00:Four cups of hot cocoa. And how was the uh the casting? Was the man handsome? Was he believable? Is the uh the lead? You're so worried about the casting of the man. Well, I don't know. I just remember in years past, sometimes that's uh lost you uh sometimes it ruins it for me, yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, but this one was great.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, this one's great.
SPEAKER_01:Great casting.
SPEAKER_00:All right. My wife says, hey, you know what? If you're looking for a good Hallmark Christmas movie, she recommends we met in December with four cups of hot cocoa. I love you, my love.
SPEAKER_01:Love you.
SPEAKER_00:All right, we'll talk to you tomorrow.
SPEAKER_01:All right, bye-bye.
SPEAKER_00:On the phone, we have Sho Lozone, Dave Ramsey. Uh, Janine is out today, so uh Dave is filling in for our motivational quotes to get us pumped this Monday. Uh, how's your day started so far? Boo. Boo? Why?
SPEAKER_02:So many surprises this morning.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, your uh your dogs left surprises around the house and not the good kind?
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, right in front of the microwave this morning.
SPEAKER_00:Gross. Do they ever leave you a surprise in your shoe? Oh no. Oh no, oh well, that's good. Because I would be totally boo, right? They would be totally left outside for life. That's right. Well, Dave, it is Monday, so I like to get everyone motivated on Monday to tackle the week. Today is Walt Disney Day. So I have five quotes from Walt Disney. You're gonna pick your favorite quote for the week, and that will be our motivational quote for the week. You ready? Ready. All right, first one. All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them. Is that a good one? Cool. Do you believe it? Yeah. Yeah. The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing. That's way cool. Number three, it's kind of fun to do the impossible. Number four, the more you like yourself, the less you are like anyone else, which makes you unique. You like that one? Yeah, that was a good one. Okay, and last one. If you can dream it, you can do it. What is today's motivational quote for the week? I like number two the best. Number two, Walt Disney. The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing. Heck yes. That is our motivational quote for the week. It is now time for Boo or Cool with Show Lowe's Dave Ramsey. Uh, Dave, today is Cyber Monday. Do you know what that is? Yeah. Uh Boo or Cool? Boo. Boo. Why? Why Boo to Cyber Monday?
SPEAKER_02:Every time I order something on the internet, my card gets hacked, so I quit doing it.
SPEAKER_00:Well, you're probably using like weird sites, but if you stick to the major sites, you know, like Amazon and that, you should be okay, right?
SPEAKER_02:I don't know. I've never been on Amazon.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, wow. Okay. Well, I'm gonna tell you some cool Cyber Monday deals, Dave, and you tell us if they are boo or cool. Ready? Ready. All right, first one. Apple AirTags, a four-pack for 75, usually 100. They help you keep track of all your stuff, boo or cool.
SPEAKER_02:That's cool. I need help with that.
SPEAKER_00:Uh, what about one of those robot vacuums? They're 50% off at Walmart and Amazon.
SPEAKER_02:No, my the dogs would probably pee on it.
SPEAKER_00:So no robot vacuum for you. Uh, what about uh an air fryer uh today that's uh you could get one for$39? That sounds cool. Cool, but you don't really cook too much. What do you normally eat? Microwavable food. Oh, and but I thought a lot of ding-dongs and cupcakes.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, I have two cupcakes for breakfast.
SPEAKER_00:That actually might be good in an air fryer. Uh what about a smartwatch?
SPEAKER_02:No.
SPEAKER_00:Why not? It could uh like go it could tell you, you know, how your health is, it could tell you if you're experiencing anything weird, so you could go see the doctor. I'm weird as it is.
SPEAKER_02:I don't need any help.
SPEAKER_00:Okay. And la and last one, this is 40% off, Dave. It's a pet camera treat dispenser. You can see your uh cats when you're or your pets when you're far away and give them treats. That's cool. Oh, there we go. 40% off a pet camera treat dispenser. That was Boo or Cool Cyber Monday edition with our best friend Dave Ramsey. We love you, bud. Have a great day. Woo! That's my vlog! Yay, yeah. Everyone's favorite redneck from Beaumont, Texas. It's Paul from Beaumont. Um, how was uh your Thanksgiving?
SPEAKER_03:Oh, it was good, man. I still got kind of got a headache, but yeah, other than that, everything's good, man. Back to work. Went up to the ranch. Uh on two deer.
SPEAKER_00:It's so yeah, it's hunting season out there in Texas, and you're allowed to just lay out corn and then pew pew, how many uh deer did you get? Two. Two? Heck yes. And then what do you uh I got them at the same I got them at the same stand, the same, the same, the same afternoon hook. Uh and now are you uh do you have like do you eat it or do you just like put it on your wall? What do you do with the deer?
SPEAKER_03:Oh no, dude, they made it to the they made it to the meat processor. I'm thinking they have about 60 pounds of deer sausages.
SPEAKER_00:Heck yeah. Any uh uh anything crazy happen on Black Friday? Did Rhonda spend a ton of money? Had did you are you buying yourself anything on Cyber Monday? Maybe a new guitar? What's going on?
SPEAKER_03:Oh Cyber Monday? I didn't know about that. I got time, I'll start looking. No, no, I get home last time. Okay, Carson bought Carson's neighbor let him use a 50 caliber, 50 caliber rifle. I know you don't know what that is, but it's big. It's big. It's big. Okay. He shot it, made a cool little video. And he's like, come on, dad, shoot it. Like, nah, I don't wanna shoot it. Well, you know how I am with peer pressure. It don't take much. Fine, I'll shoot it. Well, I shot it. Now I got a big red mark right between my forehead because it came back and the scope came back and hit me in the forehead.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, do you have a video of that?
SPEAKER_03:No. Oh I think no, no, no, no. I got a picture in my forehead. I got picture in my forehead with my big red spike.
SPEAKER_00:Uh well, I'm glad I'm sorry you got hurt, but luckily it wasn't worse, right?
SPEAKER_03:Yeah, exactly. Yeah, I couldn't end up like a Jew.
SPEAKER_00:It is now time for Are You Smarter Than a Redneck? Today, Paul, is Walt Disney Day. So we're gonna do some Walt Disney trivia. You a fan of Walt Disney?
SPEAKER_03:Uh, I guess.
SPEAKER_00:I guess. When I was a kid. What? When I was a kid. Oh, when I was a kid. All right. Uh, Paul, I'm gonna ask you a question, multiple choice. If you know the answer, say your name. That is your buzzer. Here we go. First question: the beast from Beauty and the Beast was designed using a combination of which animals? Was it bear, wolf, and eagle? Or B, lion, buffalo, and wolf, C, tiger, ram, and boar, or D, Panther, ox, and fox. Go ahead, Paul.
SPEAKER_03:Uh, the the lion and whatever it was, what? Bites?
SPEAKER_00:The lion, buffalo, and wolf? You are correct. Holy moly, beauty and the beast. That's what uh they call you and Ronda, right? Yeah, I am beautiful. All right. Uh, next question. Tinkerbell was rumored to be modeled after Marilyn Monroe. Who actually inspired Tinkerbell's look? Was it A, a ballerina? B, a Disney animator's daughter, C, a studio model named Margaret Carey, or D, a Broadway actress. Chris, I'm gonna say a ballerina. No, it is not a ballerina. What's your guess?
SPEAKER_03:I'm gonna say the daughter.
SPEAKER_00:The daughter, no. It was a studio model named Margaret Carey. Oh yeah. All right. Um last question, Paul. This is gonna be worth a million points. If I get it right, I win. If I get it wrong, I lose. What year did Disneyland first open to the public? Was it 1945, 1950, 1955, or 1960? Paul.
SPEAKER_03:Paul 55?
SPEAKER_00:Is it 55? Holy moly, dude. You are going to Disney World. You just uh you are you're smarter than a handsome radio DJ. Paul, thanks so much for having fun with us and uh drive safe. We'll talk to you tomorrow.
