I don't know how I can ever attend another concert without going into the sphere. It makes it totally different. I have never, it was so awesome. And there's not a bad seat in the place. Oh, incredible. I keep kind of now haunting the sphere to see what I can. And I I I told Clannico, let's go see Kenny Chesney again, just because it's in the sphere. And he's the Kenny Chesney fan. Birthday Forgetting Relationship Advice

SPEAKER_00

It's gonna be a lot of fun. So everybody go sign up. There's only about 54 spots left. There you go. So go to Chris Bennett Comedy today. It is now time for relationship advice with our resident relationship advice expert, Janine Ford. All right, Janine, uh, here's the story. We'll see if this person needs their running shoes or not. Uh, they want to know is forgetting your partner's birthday a deal breaker? Here we go. Hey, I need some advice. My birthday's coming up, and I honestly am kind of stressed that my boyfriend might forget it. We've been dating for about a year, and around Christmas, we were out to dinner, and he asked me when his birthday was, and I knew it instantly. But when I asked him mine, he had no idea. It really hurt my feelings. Now my birthday is coming up, and I don't want to remind him because I feel like if he really cares about me, he should remember something like that on his own. But at the same time, I'm kind of preparing myself for him to forget, and I don't know how I'll react if he does. We've had a few other issues too, and sometimes he comes across a little selfish. Am I overreacting or is this a deal breaker?

SPEAKER_02

You know, I I just have to say, um, I come from a long line of men that they have no clue who anyone's birthday is. I mean, my dad, my brothers, I'm the one that I send out a text. My mom always said, hey, today's, you know, Austin's birthday. I do that all the time to everyone in my family. And uh because I think a lot of this is a guy thing too. They just are kind of some remember, some don't. I I don't think it's a deal breaker. And uh and a lot of girls that I know on something like this, they just say, Yeah, gosh, next week's coming fast. Um, I think, I don't know, uh, with my birthday, so and so just wrists me happy birthday. They kind of mention something to remind them, and then they have a few days' notice, and then they're not just I know that sounds stupid, but a lot of people just are so busy these days and they forget. And I notice there's more. I I have to tell you, I think it's genetic in my family, but I see a lot of guys like this. And and I've and I've been with a lot of guys that are like this that are just kind of certain things just skip their mind, you know. Maybe they remember the anniversary, but they don't remember the birthday. I think she's making kind of a big deal about it. She might be a little bit of a head case with that. Okay. You know, I just if I was her, I'd drop little hints and just say, Yeah, gosh, so-and-so just wish me a happy birthday um next week. That's so sweet. My birthday week. Some people talk about I've had girlfriends that say they kind of bring up stuff a week in advance because they know their husband's gonna just it's gonna slip his mind.

SPEAKER_00

Right, right.

SPEAKER_02

You know? I mean, so many people are like, Wheah, weah, you know, just chill out. Just it some people people forget stuff these days. It's just like that a little bit, you know?

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so she you think she might be overreacting a little bit? And give I think that's good advice. Give him uh, you know, give him fair warning.

SPEAKER_02

Just drop little funny clues. Oh, my mom says, you know, she wants to go to lunch for my birthday next week. You know, whatever. Then he's like, oh crap, birthday's next week. They're some guys are a little slow. They're a little but they've got other great qualities. I think deal breakers are things like, you know, if you're cheating, or some of those big deal breakers stuff. Sometimes people are spacey, and then we got a lot of ADHD people out there that that runs in my family thick. Oh my gosh, they forget. Yeah, they're very, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Also, you know, my uh mom does a good job of uh calling me, so just want to let you know your wife's uh Yes, yes, your birthday's coming up, or your anniversary's coming up, or my daughters do a good job of reminding me. But today is my wife's birthday.

SPEAKER_02

Happy birthday, Andrea. We love Andrea, yes. Happy birthday. That's so cool.

SPEAKER_00

So I didn't forget that. I'm taking her out to lunch today, but she said she didn't want anything, so I didn't get her uh a present. Should I still get her something?

SPEAKER_02

I would still surprise her with some little sweet thing. Okay. You know, maybe her favorite baked I don't know, her f favorite cookies or her uh little flowers or a sweet card, something on the side, yes.

Country News Minute Highlights

Caller Advice On Graduation No Show

SPEAKER_00

All right, perfect. Well, great. Well, thank you so much for the relationship advice today, Janine. We hope you have a great day. Love you, Chris. Bye-bye. Bye. It is now time for Chris's country news minute, and we're gonna start with some news from Lainey Wilson, who is making some big life decisions off the stage. She recently opened up about freezing her eggs and said starting a family is something she's really thinking about now. She says she spent years focused on her career, but now she's excited about the idea of having some kids and even joked uh that uh she'd even have them selling some merch for her on the road. So there you go. She's got some new sales reps, hopefully in the future. And uh Carrie Underwood proved once again that she's a class act. She's one of the judges on this season's American Idol, and she surprised uh this season's top 11 contestants on American Idol with Tiffany and Cole jewelry and a handwritten note. And apparently the handwritten notes meant more to the contestants than the gifts. Just a reminder you can be a superstar and still be a good human. And finally, Darius Rucker is teaming up with the WWE. There we go. Don't worry, he's not uh joining to wrestle. He won't be joining Jelly Roll in the ring, who Jelly Roll's been part of the storyline this year in WWE. Uh, but Darius is gonna be launching a merchandise line with them. And turns out he's been a huge wrestling fan his whole life. Uh, so he won't be in the ring, but honestly, I'd love to see him uh uh enter the ring and rock someone like a wagon wheel. I'm Chris Bennett, and that was my country news minute. You are first caller. Who's this? This is Aiden. Aiden, where are you from, Aiden? Pine Top, Arizona. Pine Top? Heck yes. Aiden, you just got a spot in our cornhole tournament for our anniversary bash, May 16th, brought to you by Horn Auto Center and the House Restaurant. Are you a good cornhole tournament? Or a good are you are you a good cornhole tournament? Are you a good cornhole player? I'm decent, mainly for the kids though. Yeah, yeah, it's awesome. We're uh benefiting the 3E snacks, a great nonprofit here in the White Mountains. So it's for a great cause, and we're gonna have a great time with live music all day. And the uh the winning team wins a thousand bucks, five hundred bucks a piece, and tickets to see Kenny Chesney at the Sphere in Las Vegas. So we uh we got you uh signed up for it, and uh all you have to do is uh be my relationship uh expert for this bonus relationship advice. You ready? Oh, I guess. All right, here we go. Uh hey, I need some advice. I'm graduating soon, and it's a huge milestone for me. I'm 22, my boyfriend's 24, and I've worked really hard for this, and I've been looking forward to celebrating with the people closest to me. But my boyfriend isn't coming. He signed up for a race in New York the same weekend, and he's choosing to go to that instead. The thing is, it's not a once-in-a-lifetime event. He could do another race anytime, and we're already planning a trip to New York together in a few months. He keeps saying it's not a big deal and that we can celebrate later, but that doesn't feel the same as him actually being there. What really bothers me is that it isn't the first time he hasn't shown up for something important to me. So am I overreacting or is this a bigger issue? What say you?

SPEAKER_01

I I don't think she's overreacting.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, really? Okay. So you think you think this is a big deal and he should cancel the trip and go to her graduation?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, I do I do.

SPEAKER_00

Ah, so is this grounds for breaking up with him if he ends up uh uh choosing this event over her graduation? Do you think she has grounds for uh maybe moving on? How long has the relationship been so far? I think they've been together for a year, a little over a year. A little over a year? I think I don't think so. So you don't think she should break up with them over this or what?

SPEAKER_01

Actually, if if he doesn't, if he's not like getting the point across his head, then I don't think that relationship is gonna work in the future if they can't like if he doesn't understand what she's feeling, you know?

SPEAKER_00

Right, right. Alright, so uh Aiden says you are not overreacting, and this might be a sign that this is a bigger issue, and maybe think about moving on.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, sir.
