A Bee Sting Pet Scare

SPEAKER_02

So I had to call Ryan and tell her, hey, your dog got bit by a bee. And uh look, I I don't know what's going on. I might have to bring her back to the ER again.

SPEAKER_01

Yep, best friends, that's how today's show starts with little Paul from Beaumont. Hi, best friends. It is me, Chris Bennett, and we've got a fun show planned for you today. Paul from Beaumont calls in uh after his wife leaves and leaves him alone with their new dog, and immediately chaos hits. We also put him to the test with Are You Smarter Than a Redneck wedding edition with a son getting married this weekend? So we'll see if he's ready for that. Plus, we catch up with Janine Ford, hit up some motivational Monday quotes, and highlight some great things happening in our community. Let's get the show started. Chris Bennett and the Morning Brew. Woo! That's Bob Lord! Beaumont says so! Good morning. It's the morning brew with Chris. Who's this? Yay, yay! Yay! Holy moly! Everyone's favorite redneck Paul from Beaumont, Texas. Paul, uh, I teased it in the first hour. I understand you had uh something pretty crazy happen to you uh this weekend while Rhonda was away. What happened?

SPEAKER_02

Dude, look, this new dog, Jules, new shit. Okay, we moved Thursday. We ain't had it a week. I had to bring it to the emergency ER because it had a fever. Okay, that was$550. Okay, yesterday. Rhonda goes to her mom, and I'm like, okay, you're gonna bring your dog, right? Well, now you're not gonna go, I'm not gonna go. So dog stayed with me. Well, it looked like it had to go outside. Bring it outside. Apparently it got too close to a bee. Right? And I guess it got stung, and I started freaking out because it was like going to sleep, and I was like, oh my god. So I had to call Ron to tell her, hey, your dog got bit by a bee. And uh look, I I don't know what's going on. I might have to bring her back to the ER again. But she's okay now. It's all good now. But yeah, that's it, man. She got she leaves the house, she's bringing that dog with her.

SPEAKER_01

Holy moly, you always think a redneck's gonna have like a manly dog, like uh a bloodhound or something to take hunting, but you have uh two, you have two shits.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, let me tell you, we've had a bloodhound. I would never have one again. Oh, really? Why not? Oh my god. I just wanted like a chill on the front porch hee-haw dog. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. No, no-no. No. There was no rest with that dog. That thing literally ate the the siding off my house.

Wedding Trivia With Paul

SPEAKER_01

Oh my gosh. That's crazy. Uh-uh. Yeah, no more. It is now time for Are You Smarter Than a Redneck with Paul from Beaumont? His son is getting married this Saturday, so we're gonna do Are You Smarter Than a Redneck Wedding Edition. Are you ready?

SPEAKER_02

SPEAKER_01

Here we go. Traditionally, what side does the bride stand on during the ceremony? Is it right, left, or depends on the DJ? Paul. Paul. Uh, left. All right, there you go. Ding, that's what I was gonna say. He's up 1-0. Um what does something borrowed symbolize? Is it a good luck from a happily married friend, B, saving money, or C, family approval? Chris. Paul. I'm gonna say A, good luck from a happily married friend. Boom, there we go. All right, and next one. What is the traditional first dance? Is it father, daughter, bride and groom, or the wedding party? Paul. Paul. Bride and groom. Is it bride and groom? Dang, dang, dang! He is smarter than a very handsome radio DJ. Congratulations, best friend. And uh congratulations on uh your son getting married this weekend. It's uh your baby boy is all grown up and starting a life of his own. And uh you should be proud of him.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I am. About like you when your daughter got married to that other family and moved all the way up to Utah. You know, growing a new family, you know, a new life. That's not there. You know what? You know what? This is my last one. You still got another one.

Janine Checks In With Rusty

So I just found a bunch of motivational quotes from the great Bambino. You ready? Yeah. All right. Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

I like that one. Yeah, that's a good one. Uh, it's hard to beat a person who never gives up.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yeah. That is true. They're annoying. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding.

SPEAKER_01

Uh, every strike brings me closer to the next home run. Nice. Uh, yesterday's home runs don't win today's games. Oh, that's a good one. And the last one the way a team plays as a whole determines its success.

SPEAKER_00

Ooh, okay. All right.

SPEAKER_01
