Paul’s Wild Wedding Recap

SPEAKER_01

Awesome. Well, yeah, it's uh six anniversary. I can't believe it. I've been part of the morning brew for eight years, but uh two years ago today, uh it became the morning brew with Chris Bennett and best friends, and the best friends are what make the show so great. And uh you definitely are a huge part of the show, and so happy to have you part of it. Uh this uh uh this weekend was a big weekend for you. Your son got married. You had to give away your little boy.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, well, I mean, like, we had to be there at one, you know, in a little in our little our little place. And we drank two bottles of bourbon and a case and a half beer. And uh the photographers told me I told them I only wanted one bourbon in coke. And they kept seasonal to me in. The photographer said, bro, you're cooked. I said, I can't be cooked.

SPEAKER_01

This ain't even started yet. The wedding hadn't even started yet? No, no, dude.

SPEAKER_03

This was like, no, we were taking pictures at three. And uh, yeah, this was like an hour into it. We had already drank like two bottles of bourbon in a case of beer. Oh my god, there were six of us.

SPEAKER_01

My gosh, and did the photographer know you or was this their first time meeting you?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah, that was my nephew. Oh, okay. Yeah, and he's like, bro, you're cooked. So I had to go where they were cooking food, and I was like, yo, I need some food, man. I need food. He showed me I was cooked. I cannot be cooked right now.

SPEAKER_01

Uh, tell us about the uh the rest of the wedding, and did you end up uh embarrassing yourself or others or getting yelled at by your wife this weekend?

SPEAKER_03

She didn't yell at me. Uh it was uh it was just it was just a good time, man. It was a beautiful place. Uh the the person that married him is the judge is my neighbor. I've known him all my life. He's known Carson all his life. So that was great. Oh yeah, then everybody we all walked there was in there, and then they walked Carson in. Or Carson walked in. I ain't gonna lie, dude. I turned a little bit in there for a minute. Oh, you cried. Oh, okay, yeah. I was cooked. I was cooked. Um yeah, yeah. And uh, you know, they had the handler ceremony was great. Uh the food was fantastic, and then, you know, Ron and him did their little dance. And then he got my dad new, and uh yeah, they danced uh one of my one of her mama's favorite songs, and yeah. But I was cooked.

unknown

I was cooked.

SPEAKER_01

I gotta see video footage of you crying, because you don't, you don't, you always give me a hard time about me crying.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I mean I'm surprised you're not today because this is your sixth anniversary.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I'm not cooked, apparently. Uh so did uh did Nanu or you do the uh Cupid Shuffle or uh any dirty dancing on the dance floor? Uh-uh. Oh no. No dirt no dirty dancing.

SPEAKER_03

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and everybody kind of like dropped their pants and we all took a picture.

SPEAKER_01

I love how I asked you if you did anything embarrassing at the wedding. You go, nope, nope, nope. But we did drop our pants at the wedding.

SPEAKER_03

Thank God, thank God. You know how tuxedo pants you just got the little clasps, yeah. Tuxedo belts. Uh-huh. Okay, well, I was like, yeah, that's not gonna work for me, bro. I need the suspenders, too. I need the suspenders. Because I didn't know how that night was gonna end up. But you know what? I was not cooked when I got the suspenders. And we and we we were I think it was I don't even know what song it was, but we were jumping up and down and that old that old clasp came loose. Woo, sonny. Hey, if it would not have been, if it would not have been for uh the suspenders, them things would have fallen down to my ankles.

Honeymoon Trivia Game Showdown

SPEAKER_01

But you ended up pulling your pants down anyways. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I'm glad you guys had such such a great time, best friend. Congratulations uh to you, Rhonda, and of course, your son Carson and his new beautiful bride, Nikki. It is now time for Are You Smarter Than a Redneck? And uh with Paul's uh son and daughter-in-law just getting married, I thought we would do some honeymoon trivia. If you know the answer, say your name. That's your buzzer. Here we go. What is the most popular honeymoon destination in the U.S.? Is it A, Las Vegas, B, Hawaii, C, Florida, D, California? Paul. I'd say Paul. Paul. Hawaii? Is it Hawaii? Ding ding ding. He's up one zero. Where uh where's your son going on there, honeymoon?

SPEAKER_03

SPEAKER_01

On average, how long does a typical honeymoon last? Is it A three days, B, five days, C, seven to ten, or D two weeks? Chris. Paul. I'm gonna say seven to ten days. Boom, there you go. All right. This last question will determine who the winner is. Pick a number from four to fifteen. Fifteen. Fifteen. All right, here we go. What is the biggest honeymoon mistake couples make? Is it A, overpacking, B, overspending, C, over planning, or D, not bringing sunscreen? Paul. Paul. Overplanning. Is it over planning? Ding, ding, ding! Holy moly, yeah, they try to do too much instead of just relaxing.

unknown

Nice.

SPEAKER_01

What just go with the flow. Just go with the flow. What advice uh do you have for your uh your new daughter-in-law and uh your son on their new matrimony?

SPEAKER_03

I'd say uh I kind of told them I was like, look, you're gonna have great times, you're gonna have good times, you're gonna have really bad times. You just gotta remember what got you to this place tonight.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, that's beautiful. I if I had something to uh to clang or toast, I would toast to that. Best friend, thanks so much for calling in, and uh hopefully we'll talk to you soon.

And I talk about in that video just my love for this community and my appreciation for this community, and uh I wouldn't be where I am today without all of you, so thank you so much. Oh, dude, there was a lot of crying in the video, and uh a lot was edited out. It's just I have so much gratitude in my heart, and uh, you know, just my dreams have come true in this uh in the White Mountains, and so you know I don't take that for granted, and I'm so grateful for it.
