SPEAKER_00Good morning, Chris.
SPEAKER_04Good morning. Happy talk about something good Tuesday.
SPEAKER_00Always love that.
SPEAKER_04I love it.
SPEAKER_00Do you have some good news for us this morning?
Baby Coyote Rescue In Arizona
SPEAKER_00You know what? I've been following this story, and a lot of you might have seen it. Guess it's an Arizona story. It's been viral. Okay, and this is super cool. It's an update on that baby coyote that was found, I mean, covered in choya cactus spines. Did you see that?
SPEAKER_04No, no, but I know that's painful.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh. Well, the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center got it, and it's a tiny little coyote pup, and it just got itself in all that choya cactus. I mean, I mean, from the tip of its nose in its nose to everywhere else you can imagine. It is, it it it the spines were everywhere. So it took wildlife rescuers more than two hours, and he was sedated to carefully remove all the spines, and they have likely saved the pup's life. Right now, the baby coyote is doing much better. And it's viral, and you can check it out. But hundreds of cactus in a baby coyote. So it's a it's a it's just the poor little thing. I mean, it couldn't even open its eyes. It looked like the spines were key it literally nailing his eyes shut. That's how bad this was. Yeah, really bad.
SPEAKER_04That's awful. And then do they release this coyote back out into the wild or I'm I'm not sure what's gonna happen with him.
SPEAKER_00They're not saying yet on that stuff. So, and then also there was one other thing in the wildlife news an endangered California condor, yeah, made history after flying into Oregon. For the first time in 122 years, the bird who's called Condor B9 traveled 380 miles over four days. Wow. Returning to its home in Northern California. There you go. Isn't that crazy? That is crazy. Those birds are huge! Yeah, and condors are near extinction, so conservationists are feeling hopeful about the progress, and that's pretty crazy, huh?
SPEAKER_04That is crazy. That's some good news on this talk about something good Tuesday.
Accidental Double Lottery Jackpot
SPEAKER_04All right, Janine, it's now time for my good news story. And uh this one takes place in England, and a retiree in England is proven that sometimes mistakes can pay off in a big, big way. Uh, Alan Taylor, who's 65 years old, he accidentally bought two lottery tickets instead of one after clicking the wrong button online, and at first he didn't even know why he had two tickets. Well, uh that mistake turned out what he calls to be the best mistake he's ever made. When the winning numbers were announced, not one, but both tickets hit, Janine. Uh he had one that hit for $450,000. Uh-huh. Or actually, no, bold tickets hit for $450,000 each, bringing his total winnings to $900,000. Oh wow. That is a nice mistake. Uh, the timing couldn't have been better as Alan and his wife had just retired a few months ago and were wondering if they had enough uh to make it in retirement and if they had made the right, if they had made the right financial decision. Now they just plan to travel, help family and friends, and enjoy retirement without the stress.
SPEAKER_05Okay, there you go. Pretty good.
SPEAKER_04Just another example. When it rains, it pours. Well, that is some good news on this talk about something good Tuesday, and I hope you have a great rest of your Tuesday, Janine.
SPEAKER_00You too, Chris. Love ya. Love ya, bye.
Birthday Call And Elks Charity Plans
SPEAKER_04Today is my friend David Whitmore's birthday. He is the exalted ruler over at the Elks Lodge and part of the Elks Riders. And uh, it's his birthday today, so let's give him a call.
SPEAKER_03Good morning, best friend. Happy birthday, dear David Whitmore. Happy birthday to you.
SPEAKER_04Happy birthday on this talk about something good Tuesday, David Whitmore. Well, thank you, my brother. Absolutely. It is Talk About Something Good Tuesday. David is also the uh exalted ruler over there at the Elks Lodge. Do you have anything good to talk about on this uh Talk About Something Good Tuesday and your birthday?

Um we normally give away about four to five hundred backpacks every year to local kids, and we're doing that uh charity run this weekend. And if anyone wants to drop some school supplies off by the lodge, they're welcome to do that. Uh we also have a flag day ceremony uh celebrating our amazing flag of the United States. It's gonna be at the uh the little park there with the uh uh the guys playing poker at 10 o'clock on Saturday.
SPEAKER_04Heck yeah, off to uh swing by that. And the Elks Riders do so many great things for the community, and they also work security at my comedy shows, and we do a 50-50 raffle at the comedy show, and the funds raised for that 50-50 raffle go for things like your backpack giveaways and all the great things you do for kids in the White Mountains. So so thank you for that. Yes, sir. And also, are you gonna tell me where you're working today so I can surprise you with uh one of my famous butt dances?
SPEAKER_02I am not because both places I'm working, my customers are gonna be there.
SPEAKER_04Awesome. Well, David, uh happy birthday and happy talk about something good Tuesday, best friend.
SPEAKER_02Thank you very much, brother. I appreciate you.
