If you know the answer, say your name, that's your buzzer. Here we go. JD, what is the most common Father's Day gift? Is it A power tools? B neckties, C, fishing gear, or D, golf balls? Tools. Tools. You gotta say your name, but no, you are wrong. I'm gonna say neckties. Heck yes, it is neckties. I'm up one zero. I might beat you two days in a row. Alright. Which TV dad raised three sons on home improvement? You probably weren't even born when this show came out. Is it A, Al Borland, B, Mike Brady, C, Tim Taylor, or D, Dan Connor? I'll let you guess. I'll say Mike Taylor. Yo, Mike Taylor? It's actually Tim, the toolman Taylor. I'll give it to you. We are tied at one apiece. This last question will determine who the winner is. What percentage of dads admit to telling dad jokes regularly? Is it A about 10%? B 25%, C 50%, or D 75%? 75%. 75%. Ding ding ding. There you go. JD totally redeemed himself. Uh does your dad tell dad jokes? No. No. I tell dad jokes all the time. Well, JD, congratulations, best friend. Thanks for having fun with us. And uh I hope uh uh you and uh your dad have a great Father's Day on uh Sunday. All right. See ya, buddy. Bye.

El Nino Forecast And Flood Prep
SPEAKER_01Janine, you there?
SPEAKER_00Yes, I am. Good morning.
SPEAKER_01Good morning, good morning. Are you all by yourself this morning?
SPEAKER_00No, I have Addy with me, my granddaughter.
SPEAKER_01Addie, heck yeah. Your your granddaughter co-host on this Talk About Something Good Tuesday. Before we uh talk about some good news, do you have any news for us?
SPEAKER_00Well, a lot of people are seeing this float around, and everybody kind of needs to pay attention, the whole El Nino and Super El Nino, and and the way this it looks like it's gonna be heading in our direction. But the way this works is you have the monsoon, which is separate. We'll hit we'll have the monsoon come in, whatever the monsoon is, right? But then in fall, later after the monsoon, is an El Nino, and now forecasters are saying 100% we're getting El Nino across us, which is a very long, large system. And and the thing is it's you know, it's come and go how normal systems are like this, or a couple days later, some more, but it can it lasts for 18 months, Chris. And so it there is an expectation of heavier rain, heavier snow, and about that's like a hundred percent almost forecasted, then about 50-60 percent, it looks like have forecasted that will be a super El Nino that we haven't seen in a lot of years, and that one can be more dangerous. It can cause a lot of flooding, uh, a lot of different stuff. So kind of some people are thinking, ooh, let's dig out our ditches a little deeper for our runoff, let's pay attention in places that normally flood. So, kind of people are thinking about this El Ni El Nino coming. And if it's gonna be a super El Nino.
SPEAKER_01Super El Nino.
SPEAKER_00And that kind of stuff, if you know, if it's a super.
SPEAKER_01Well, we need it, but we definitely need to be prepared for it as well.
SPEAKER_00Yes, we need it. I I say bring it on, bring on the super.
SPEAKER_01Bring on the super El Nino.
SPEAKER_00We'll fill all of our lakes and the aquifers, and yeah, it would be good.
Pinedale Race Nerves And Tight Hamstrings
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01All right, Janine, it's now time for some good news. Let's talk about something good Tuesday. And before I uh read my story, uh, one I want to tell you uh this weekend I'm participating in the Pinedale Run to the Bridge. Uh, it's a one-mile fun run, 5K, 10K, and I'm racing uh one of my friends and listeners, Brian from Pinedale. We're doing a quarter mile race, and uh I think he's in his 70s. Uh, what do you think? Uh if you were a betting person, would you bet on me to win, or would you bet on my 70-year-old friend to win?
SPEAKER_00Ooh, I wish I could see the 70-year-old friend might be in good shape and be able to tear you up, but I'll go with you, Chris.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh! You believe in me more than my parents do. I love it. I'm I don't know, I'm a little nervous. My hamstrings are feeling tight just thinking about it, but we'll see. It's gonna be a lot of fun. That's gonna be this Saturday starting at 6 a.m. If you want to be a part of that, you could register. Just look up the Pinedale run to the bridge. And here's my juicy good news story.
Crows That Remember Kindness
SPEAKER_01Uh, there's a woman that says she's been receiving thank you gifts from a group of crows after helping rescue an injured bird. Uh, the woman's named Leah Wilson. She noticed a young crow trapped in a roof gutter. She flagged down some firefighters who helped free the bird, and then she took it to a wildlife veterinarian to get the care it needed. And a few days later, something unusual started happening. While walking her dog, a crow flew down and dropped a small bundle of feathers at her feet. And since then, she says the local crows have continued leaving gifts and often fly around her whenever she's out for a walk. Aww. Yeah, it's kind of cute, but also kind of scary.
SPEAKER_00Well, although crows are supposed to be pretty smart. Oh, really? They recognize her as doing something cool. Yeah, they're like, ooh, do more for us. Give us food or something.
SPEAKER_01Well, the coolest part is the crow she rescued still comes by to visit. And uh she can recognize that crow by the band on his leg. So I love it. Turns out gratitude isn't just for humans, it's for the birds.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, for the birds. Very good, very good.
SPEAKER_01All right, Janine, we're ready for your good news
Nebraska Wildfire Relief From Farmers
SPEAKER_01today.
SPEAKER_00Okay, mine has to do with, you know, the devastating wildfires, uh, you know, that basically that have been in areas of Nebraska. Well, Nebraska ranch land, thousands of people across the U.S. stop stepped up to help those struggling farmers recover. It's been incredible. Donations have been pouring in, including over a million of relief funds and tens of thousands of dollars worth of hay. Volunteers also helped cover transportation costs to deliver the supplies across long, long distances. You may have seen some of the stories, and it's incredible because people are just pulling up other farmers and giving them hay and giving them what they need to keep those farmers afloat. Really, really cool. There you go. And then you've got the Crows one. And uh, was there another story that was kind of cool? I feel like you mentioned another cool one for today, but that's good.
SPEAKER_01I don't know. Me uh me participating in the uh Pinedale run to the bridge and hopefully I don't die.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_00Don't die. You're gonna I feel bet you'll record it for all of us to see, right?
SPEAKER_01Yes, yeah, I'll definitely record it. I'm gonna have my tight pants on, my blue jeans.
SPEAKER_00Okay, now if you're wearing the tight pants, I'm gonna go for the 70-something. Oh, really? He probably is not gonna be wearing tight pants. He'll be wearing those loose-fitting shorts.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and he's been training. He hasn't been eating ice cream for the past two weeks, and I have been eating ice cream pretty much every day for the past uh two weeks. We'll see how I do. We'll see how I do. All right.
SPEAKER_00Okay, Chris.
SPEAKER_01All right, best friend. Have a great day.
SPEAKER_00You too. Love you. Love you. Bye bye.
SPEAKER_01Bye.
