Talk About Something Good Tuesday
SPEAKER_03brew. Janine, you there?
SPEAKER_00Yes, I am. Good morning, Chris.
SPEAKER_03Good morning. Happy talk about something good Tuesday.
SPEAKER_00I like that.
SPEAKER_03I love that. How's your Tuesday so far?
SPEAKER_00Good, good. And you know what? Speaking of your talk about something good Tuesday, that's such a good thing you do because there's a whole story out today about how the human brain is not wired to handle so much negative negativity and negative news. Take in more positive stuff.
SPEAKER_03Exactly. And there's plenty of bad news to go around. Yes. I think it's important to focus on the good news.
SPEAKER_00We need to focus on the good, yes.
SPEAKER_03And I have some good news for you today. You want to hear some? Yes, yes. Well, one, uh, I have my friends from Alberto's coming in today. We're talking about our big comedy show happening at the uh Elks Lodge this Saturday with headliner Nancy Norton from Dry Bar Comedy. It's 18 and over, and show starts at 6 30 p.m. For more information and for tickets, go to Chris Bennettcomedy.com.
SPEAKER_00That's what everybody needs to do is go laugh.
SPEAKER_03Go laugh. Go laugh and have a good time. It's gonna be a lot of fun. And uh I have a uh good news story from the uh World Cup. Uh, you know, in Boston, they had 30,000 Scottish soccer fans uh traveled to Boston, and instead of causing problems, they ended up creating friendships all over the city. There was one group, Janine, that started playing bagpipes at six in the morning.
SPEAKER_00Nine.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, at their Airbnb. And uh their neighbor didn't get mad. Instead, they came over, came uh inside, and grilled them breakfast, and they became friends uh with the Scottish group. And the Scottish fans drank so much beer uh that one Boston tap room had to order four emergency deliveries. I'm not surprised. Yeah. Emergency beers. And emergency beers, it's an emergency. And the Boston police officers were seen kicking soccer balls with fans in the street, and one officer even got gifted a kilt uh from a Scottish fan after going viral online. So by the pretty cool. So by the time all the uh Scots left town, the locals were sad to see them go. And my favorite quote from this whole story is it took 30,000 strangers to remind us that we're all neighbors.
SPEAKER_00That's so cool. I love the Scots. I love Scots, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Pretty and it's cool to see all the World Cup fans coming to America and just what a great time and great experience they're having here uh in the United States.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, I love some of the remarks, and it's kind of funny because they'll they'll say, Yeah, there's so many things here and so cool. It's kind of like they were somebody who was talking, it's kind of like in Europe, you know, you have to search for fast food restaurant here. They're like every three feet. And I'm thinking to myself, that's might be not a great thing to eat like that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and it's funny to see what they're like mesmerized by our buckies, and they it's fun. All right, Janine, it's time for your good news story. What you got for us?
SPEAKER_00Okay, I'm gonna bring it in, bring it in, bring it in. Just a couple of cute little ones.
unknownI don't know.
SPEAKER_00These are two videos that are going viral. It's so awesome. A teenager in California, he's a hero. He dove into a parbour to rescue a struggling little dog, and his name is Mateo, and he noticed that the dog was getting exhausted, he was swimming back and forth, could not get up on the dock. Of course, docks are kind of high, you know. So he dove in, carried him to safety, and you can see where he's um and and he used the dog's collar to get a hold of the owner, which is great. But he had him wrapped up in a towel. It was one of those terriers that shakes uncontrollably. So he had him wrapped up on the beach there, and it's so cute how he ran jumped in and saved him. And the other little one, I love that you have to see this going viral. We'll look these up because they're too cute. This teeny little kitten, you know, when a kitten is just like so little, they just have opened their eyes, they're confused. He just wanders onto the New York subway.
unknownOh my gosh!
SPEAKER_00This teeny little she was she just is like walking in there, like totally owning the pl. And all these people are just crushing in the subway, and they notice this teeny little thing, you know, crawling on the side. Anyway, it has a happy ending because the commuter safely picked up the kitten in the chaos that was about to be crushed and probably fall through that crack. You can see where it tried to jump across, you know, into the car. And uh, she decided to adopt the kitty. So her name named her Emmy.
SPEAKER_03Oh I love it. Some great news on this talk about something good Tuesday. We love you, best friend. I hope you have a great rest of your day.
SPEAKER_00Love you too, Chris. Have a good one. Bye-bye.

SPEAKER_03It's good news that you're going to the hospital? Yeah, to get checked up. Oh, nice. What what are you getting checked on? Just a just a a routine checkup?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Nice. And then you sent everyone home. You didn't make them work while you were going to the hospital.
SPEAKER_01I don't want them working when I'm not doing it.
SPEAKER_03Because when the cat's away.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Do you uh can can you finish that saying? When the cat's away?
SPEAKER_01Oh, the mice is gonna say.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, there you go. Awesome. Well, I hope everything goes well at the uh uh at the hospital. What can I do for you today?

SPEAKER_03Oh, heck yeah. Heart of Stone by Jelly Roll. You got it. Did you hear he's uh he and his wife are getting a divorce?
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, I heard about it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, have you ever been divorced? Uh I don't know how many times. You you how many times have you been married? Uh I miscounted. What advice do you have for jelly roll uh now that he's going through a divorce?
SPEAKER_01Work it out, stay friends, and help each other.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it sounds like that's what they're doing. Awesome. Well, sweet, great advice. And now I'm so curious, Virgil, how many times have you been married? Are you gonna tell me, or are you just gonna uh make me uh guess?
SPEAKER_01I've been married once.
SPEAKER_03Oh, there you go. Okay, you made it sound like you were married like five or six times. And I'm so excited to not be all by my source.
