Relationship Advice Thursday is here, Best Friends — and today we brought in some backup!

Jineane Ford joins us to tackle a relationship dilemma that hits a little too close to home for Chris: What do you do when your partner of eight years just can't seem to keep his butt contained in his pants?

Then comedian Dwayne Perkins, headliner of our August 22nd comedy show at the Show Low Elks Lodge, joins the Morning Brew! We get to know Dwayne with some rapid-fire questions before putting his relationship-advice skills to the test. Is a girlfriend ruining Guys' Night by popping in to check on her boyfriend and his friends — or should the guys just appreciate the snacks?

Plus, we find out who won the $1 billion Powerball jackpot, celebrate International Left-Handers Day with some trivia, and give away VIP tickets to the comedy show!

It's Relationship Advice, laughs, questionable pants etiquette and plenty of Morning Brew shenanigans with Chris Bennett & Best Friends!

The Sagging Pants Dilemma

SPEAKER_02

My partner and I have been together for eight years, and we have r one recurring problem. His butt will not stay in his pants. This might be from my wife. I don't know. That's just a little snippet from today's relationship advice, which may or may not have been submitted by my beautiful wife. Hello, best friends. It's me, Chris Bennett, and we've got a juicy show for you today. We have two relationship advice cases to tackle on this relationship advice Thursday. One of our judges is our friend Janine Ford, and the other relationship advice expert is comedian Dwayne Perkins, our headliner for the big comedy show Saturday, August 22nd at the Show Low Elks Lodge. Plus, we gave away two VIP tickets to that show. Compliments of Comfort Fit Denters with a little left-handed trivia on this International Left Handers Day. Let's get the show started, best friends. Chris Bennett and the morning brew. Janine, you there? Yes, I am. Hi, Chris. She is here. That must mean one thing. You didn't win the lottery. Oh, did not win the lottery. Dang it. One billion dollar Powerball. Did anyone win it?

SPEAKER_00

Illinois. Yes, it was sold at a um, let me see here. I just had it up. It was sold in Quincy, Illinois. All right. Okay. At a high V gas station. So there you go. Nice. A single $1.4 billion Powerball ticket.

SPEAKER_02

One winner.

SPEAKER_00

And then Arizona has one of the $1 million winners. The lesser prices somewhere in Arizona, but it doesn't say where. Have you checked your numbers yet? No, I have not. I have not yet.

SPEAKER_02

All right. Well, okay. It could be you.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Sweet. Well, yeah, uh everyone check your tickets. And hopefully you are a winner. And then anyone else win around the country or?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, there's um a $2 million winner in Massachusetts, and uh a couple, a few more of the $1 million winners because it, you know, it trickles on down the higher the jackpot. So you've got um million dollar winners in, like I mentioned, we've got Arizona, California, Florida, and North Carolina. So there you go.

SPEAKER_02

All right, congrats to all the winners.

SPEAKER_00

But there's a lot, a lot, a lot of four-dollar winners. That's what you always seem to get. Four dollars.

SPEAKER_02

Four dollars. Four dollars. Congrats to all your four you four dollar winners out there. Yeah. Don't spend it all in one place. It is now time for relationship advice with Janine Ford. You ready, best friend? Yes, I am. All right, my partner and I have been together for eight years, and we have one recurring problem. His butt will

Janine’s Fixes And A Laugh

SPEAKER_02

not stay in his pants. This might be from my wife, I don't know. His pants are constantly sliding down, sometimes expo exposing his entire butt. Years ago, I bought him a belt, which helped, but now the problem is back. Recently, I pointed it out again when his pants were literally below his butt. He told me he can't help it because of his body shape. He has narrow hips, a small butt, long legs, and a short torso. Again, sounds like me. He says he says he's constantly pulling his pants up, and this has been happening his entire life. But I see plenty of men shaped like him who somehow manage to keep their butts inside their pants. I think he needs different pants and a belt. He thinks I need to accept his body. I find it so trashy and don't like being seen with him in public with his pants like this, which is most of the time. Am I being unreasonable? Is this something he simply cannot help? So, what would you do? Am I being a am I being a jerk for asking my partner in her to keep his butt contained in his pants?

SPEAKER_00

What say you? It's so funny. It's like the butt has to breathe or something. It's got a mind of its own. And he's not a plumber. We don't think he's a plumber, right? No, no, we don't think so.

SPEAKER_02

For all intents and purposes, this sounds so much like me, Janine.

SPEAKER_00

Like your body type. Sometimes, yeah, and sometimes the belly and the stuff, you know, pushes that down. I don't know. I but I don't think, I don't think she's the jerk. She's just trying to, hey, can we do something about this? But a pants, but but plants falling down. Exactly. You snorted, I heard that. Falling down shouldn't be, I think after eight years, she's been living with this. Maybe just if he's got all these other great qualities, and this is the only thing that makes her nuts, just maybe let it go and live with the butt.

SPEAKER_02

Live with the butt.

SPEAKER_00

I just feel like it's it's not as big of a deal as other things that would drive you apart.

SPEAKER_02

That's true, that's true. My wife is always amazed that like sometimes I can't tell, like when my butt cracks is exposed. And she's like, Can you not feel that? And I'm like, No, I guess not. I'm like, she's like, dude, it's out there. I'm like, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. I know, and I see, and there's little boys, like when they're little and they have no hips or no, and the pants just like fly off, but both my little boys, I had to always have belts on, you know, to keep them up. But that's yeah, it's it's just I mean, and I would you could buy him more belts, different kinds of pants, try different things and just but stay positive. But I don't think it's like a deal breaker. I mean, she's not a jerk for letting him know. Just say, hey, and then if all else fails, if there's something really fancy you're going to or whatever, get him a jacket, maybe, because jackets will cover the butt. Or maybe suspenders. There you go, suspenders.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm willing to become suspender guy.

SPEAKER_00

Get him a cool pair of suspenders. There you go. I like that idea.

SPEAKER_02

There we go. Great relationship advice. Normally, Janine's telling people to get their shoes on. Today's relationship advice get your suspenders on.

SPEAKER_00

Something, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Something. Pull your pants up. Awesome. Well, best friend, thanks so much for having fun with us, and uh, we'll talk to you tomorrow.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, thank you, Chris. Love you. Bye-bye. Love you.

SPEAKER_02

Bye-bye.

SPEAKER_01

Uh, it will be your first time ever in the White Mountains. It will be, it will be, yes, yes. Um, and uh I'm very excited. I feel like you know, people here of Arizona and they they only think of two or three places. So anytime you go to another place that's not one of those two or three places, I'm I'm I'm I'm game, you know.

SPEAKER_02

It's now time for some rapid fire questions with Dwayne Perkins. What's your go-to karaoke song?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, this is crazy. This is a tough one. Uh, if if I'm doing rap, then it's um 99 Problems, Jay-Z. Uh, and if I'm singing, who there was a time where I was really into more more than words by uh, is that extreme? Uh and it's not such an extreme song when you think about it. But um, and I also love Return of the Mac by uh Mark Morrison. That's uh that's just a nice groove, you know?

SPEAKER_02

Nice. Uh so we are a country station. You can be honest, country music.

SPEAKER_01

Yes or no? Uh no, I do like it. I I like a lot of country music. In fact, if I was gonna do a country song, I would do um skydiving, you know, like uh the uh Rocky Mountain time. I went 2.7 seconds on a bull named Foo Manchu. Yeah, that's my that's my joint. I love Austin. Um P.S. If this is Austin, I still love you. And um, I also I mean, you know, friends in lowly places, that's great. But I also love that. Is that Randy Travis? Um I'm gonna love you forever. Forever and ever. Amen. Yeah, so I like uh those would be my go-to choices, and I do like country music a lot, actually. All right, heck yeah. Oh, go ahead. Go ahead, you go.

SPEAKER_02

Which song do you want us to play right now?

SPEAKER_01

Ooh, ah, let's go with the Randy Travis song.

SPEAKER_02

Heck

Rapid Fire And Karaoke Picks

SPEAKER_02

yeah. It is Thursday, and you know what that means. It's Relationship Advice Thursday, and today we have a special guest, relationship advice expert. He is the headliner for our comedy show, August 22nd, Dwayne Perkins.

SPEAKER_01

Welcome to the show. Thank you, thank you. I'm really excited and I'm ready to dish out some A1 advice. Awesome.

SPEAKER_02

What uh what do you think makes you qualified uh for uh relationship advice?

SPEAKER_01

Uh I've been on a planet a long time. I've had a lot of relationships, and I am an observer of people and almost psychic. Like, not truly psychic, but like as close to psychic as you can be without being like uh a scam, you know. Okay. Like I can sort of I can piece things together. I can hear like like I'm a puzzle peep. I'm I can put puzzles together. Put it like that.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, perfect. Okay, awesome. All right, I'll read the story, and when we come back, we will get your advice. All right. My 23-year-old

Boys’ Night Complaints In The Basement

SPEAKER_02

female boyfriend, 22-year-old male, and I, we both live together, and our basement has become the hangout spot for his friends. A few months they come over a f a few times a month they come over for a guy's night. I purposely give them their space. I usually go downstairs exactly twice, once to bring them food, and once before bed to kiss my boyfriend goodnight. Last weekend I did exactly that, but as I walked upstairs, I heard one of his friends complain about how annoying it was I kept bothering them during Guy's night. Excuse me? I'm in my house and I just brought you food. The next morning, my boyfriend admitted his friends have complained about this before, and he's never really said anything. He thinks they might be jealous because most of them are single. Now I don't even want to host them anymore. I think my boyfriend needs to stand up for me. Am I overreacting? And how should my boyfriend handle his friends?

SPEAKER_01

What say you? Right, boys' night. Boys' night, Dungeons and Dragons, to be exact. Oh wow. Oh, this is a tough one. I think that um, well, it's we it's interesting because she's the one that's asking, but my advice would really be for the boyfriend. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah. Well, first of all, you cannot have boys' night anywhere near where there's girls. It's not boys' night. If if even if she's in another room, it's not boys' night. It just ceases to be that. You know what I mean? Uh-huh. Um, like, girls wanna help, but they want to be a part of it too. So, like, literally, if you're too comfortable on the couch, your girl will adjust you and move you. So, you know, so that's it's it's a pipe dream to think that you're gonna have boys' night and the girl is right there. It's like having your bachelor party up downstairs from where the bachelorette party is happening from. That's just that's just it's not good, it's not a good, good, good thing to do. And uh, again, she may be understating how much she interrupts them. So I would have to get the figures because she's making it seem like she just pops in, like, like I think she's lying about that. Like, seriously, like imagine you're playing like video games or whatever with your friends, and then every like hour someone brings sandwiches. That's not gonna bother you. You know what I mean? Like, if you're left alone and then you look in there's sandwiches, that's like the best situation in the world. So I think she's understating how much she really interrupts. Right, right. So I mean it's it's kind of hard without because we're only hearing her side. Um but I think I think one, they should move date night, move boys' night, boys thingy to somewhere else, and and and or she should have it and just don't interrupt them. She should try that at least once. Have it, don't interrupt them, but also don't bring them anything, nothing. And then and then they can see which which of the two they like more. Like, is it better if we have no food, no vitals, and no interruptions? Or maybe this sandwich and crackers are worth a little bit of uh what you guys doing? You know, maybe you have to weather that if you want if for me, I I'm gonna pick the snacks and the slight and the interruptions.

SPEAKER_02

SPEAKER_01

I am ambidextrous.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, you're both. Okay. Uh, which of these singers uh is left-handed? Is it A, Taylor Swift, B, Lady Gaga, C, Carrie Underwood, or D, Beyonce? You could use a lifeline if you want. Carrie Underwood. Is it Carrie Underwood? No. Lady Gaga. Oh my gosh. Yeah, all right. Here we go. True, uh, you got one right, one wrong. Left-handed people are more likely to be men than women. True or false?
