Cold Open And Morning Setup
SPEAKER_02They spend five hundred dollars on something for themselves without mentioning it to you first.
SPEAKER_01Depends on what they bought. Ooh. Yeah, if you went to Victoria's Secret, you'd be okay. Oh gross.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Well, that is just a little taste of Brian from Pinedale helping us celebrate Kiss and Makeup Day with the game of Kiss, Makeup, or Breakup. Plus, let's talk about something good Tuesday. So we're sharing some good news, good vibes, and giving away tickets, compliments of Mountain Mobile Autoglass and Tint to the final race of the season at the Deuce of Club's Thunder Raceway this Saturday. We've got banana or baloney, some great calls from our best friends, and plenty of last along the way. So let's get ready to move. Groove, giggle, and wiggle. Let's get the show started. Chris Bennett and the Morning Brew.
Banana Or Baloney For Tickets
SPEAKER_02Good morning. It's the Morning Brew with Chris. Who's this? John T. McCarthy from Solo. Heck yeah, John T. McCarthy calling to win four tickets. Compliments the mountain mobile autoglass and tent to the Deuce of Club's Thunder Speedway. Uh today, today is uh National Banana Split Day. So we are gonna do uh banana or baloney. You gotta get two out of five of these, right? It's basically true or false. You ready? Ready. Bananas are technically berries. Banana or baloney? Baloney. Uh no, it is true. Bananas, uh uh botanically, bananas qualify as berries, while strawberries technically don't. Don't say you don't learn anything on the Maria. Okay. Don't worry. Don't worry. You just got one wrong. It's okay. Uh uh baloney, uh, banana or baloney. Bananas grow on trees. Banana. You think it's true? You think it's banana? No, John. John, no. John, they grow on trees. A banana plant may look like a tree, but it's actually a giant herb. The trunk is made from tightly packed leaf bases. All right. Uh banana or baloney. There are more than a thousand varieties of bananas in the world. Baloney. So you think that's false. You do not think there's uh thousands of varieties of bananas around the world.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_02You're all for two. Three wrong. Three, but you have to get the next two right. There's only, I'm only asking you five questions. You've got all three wrong so far. You gotta get the next two uh uh correct. All right, here we go. Uh putting bananas in the refrigerator makes them ripen faster. Banana or false? Banana or baloney? Putting banana.
SPEAKER_03Baloney. Baloney. Oh gosh! Heck yes!
SPEAKER_02You find you got one right. Oh my gosh. This is exciting. This last question is gonna determine whether you get these uh tickets or not. Bananas naturally contain a tiny amount of radioactivity. They do have potassium in them. Banana or baloney. Bananas naturally contain a tiny amount of radioactivity.
SPEAKER_03Banana! That is true. Holy moly! It didn't start out good, but it ended good.
SPEAKER_02Congratulations. Bananas contain potassium, including a minuscule amount of naturally radioactive potassium 40. The amount is completely harmless. Congratulations! You just got four tickets to the Deuce of Clubs, Thunder Speedway. Their last race of the 2026 season is this Saturday. You won these tickets, compliments to Mountain Mobile Auto Class and Tent. Uh, you got the whole seat, but all you're gonna need is you know it. What station hook you up? Q Country 92.5. Woo!
Kiss Makeup Or Breakup Scenarios
SPEAKER_02It is now time for KISS. Makeup or breakup on this Kiss and Makeup Day. We have Brian from Pinedale on the phone helping us out with this game. I'm gonna give you a scenario and you tell me, KISS, let it go, not a big deal. Makeup, we're having a conversation, or breakup. Nope, we're done. You ready? Go ahead, let's try it. All right, they watch the next episode of the show you've been watching together without you.
SPEAKER_01Oh, kiss and make up.
SPEAKER_02Kissing not a big deal at all.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, not a big deal at all.
SPEAKER_02All right, what about they eat the leftovers you've been thinking about all day?
SPEAKER_01No, that ain't worth getting into it either. Kiss and make up. How long have you been married? Uh, 42 years, I think.
SPEAKER_02All right, I think we're gonna find out that to be married 42 years, you have to let a lot of stuff go.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Both sides. How about every night they set five alarms and sleep through all of them?
SPEAKER_01Oh no, that's that's different. Uh we might have to have a talk about that.
SPEAKER_02A conversation. Okay, makeup a conversation. That's what I do, Brian.
SPEAKER_01You got five alarms set, and you don't shut them off, you sleep through.
SPEAKER_02I shut them off, but yeah, I have a bunch of alarms set. Uh but then you wake up Andrea every morning. Yeah, but she says it's not a big deal. We haven't had to have a conversation. She says kiss. All right. Uh uh, let's see. They spend $500 on something for themselves without mentioning it to you first.
SPEAKER_01Depends on what they bought. Ooh. Yeah, if you went to Victoria's Secret, you'd be okay. Oh, gross. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Oh, how about they tell their friends something embarrassing you told them in confidence?
SPEAKER_01That's not worth getting in an argument over not kiss and makeup.
SPEAKER_02All right, because man, you let a lot of stuff go. What about they win $10,000 on a lottery ticket and don't tell you for a week?
SPEAKER_01Oh, do they spend it?
SPEAKER_02Uh, no.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Um, if she tells me eventually, yeah, I'm okay with this.
SPEAKER_02That's just kiss and make up, not even a conversation. What if she spent it?
SPEAKER_01Oh, that'd be different. What about my part? All right, so that's a conversation. When you're married, it's a 50-50 deal, right?
SPEAKER_02That's right. All right, that was kiss, makeup, or breakup. And uh, for most things, Brian says kiss. Kiss, kiss, makeup. Kiss and make up. That's right. It's not worth biting over. Best friend, you are the best. Thanks for having fun with us on this talk about something good Tuesday, and we'll talk to you soon. Good
Talk About Something Good Tuesday
SPEAKER_02morning. It's the morning brew with Chris. Who's this? Kyle from Sholo. Heck yeah, Kyle from Sholo. Calling to win some tickets to the Deuce of Clubs Thunder Speedway. Rat last race is this Saturday. And uh, how many of these 10 tickets do you want there, Kyle?
SPEAKER_00Uh, six.
SPEAKER_02Oh, he's taking six, baby. Uh, you can use the whole ticket, it's good for the whole seat, but all you're gonna need is the edge. Uh, all you have to do, best friend, is uh talk about something good. Give me a little good news story on this talk about something good Tuesday.
SPEAKER_00Um, let's just uh talk about you know our first responders and how how quick they are to respond to a lot of the situations up here on the mountain, the car accidents and just all the all the calls that they get and everything. And you know, just um always think about them and watch out for them.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. It's uh always a good day to talk good about our first responders. We are so grateful for all the first responders in our community and all over. You're amazing. It is Taco about something good Tuesday, and since Janine is out, I have Kyle from Sholo, winner of our tickets to the Deuce of Clubs Thunder Speedway. These tickets are compliments of Mountain Mobile Autoglass and Tint. All right, here's my good news story, uh, Kyle, before you leave.
Dance For Cheaper Gas Story
SPEAKER_02Uh, if gas, if if gas prices have you feeling a little pain at the pump, there's one New York gas station that found a pretty hilarious way to make things a little better. A Sunko station outside Albany recently offered customers a deal. Dance for at least 15 seconds and get 20% off your entire bill. And believe it or not, people went for it. I would go for it. Customers were shaking, shimming, making up their own moves. One guy even started twerking. Ooh, oh my. Another customer just saying, I'm dancing for a discount while doing her own thing. And these weren't tiny savings either. One woman danced her way to 15 bucks off her bill. Holy moly, the whole thing was dreamed up by the station's 23-year-old social media manager who said they constantly hear people complaining about high gas prices and wanted to give customers a reason to smile. And it worked. Their video of customers dancing has been viewed more than a million times, saving money, making people laugh, and dancing at the gas station. That's something good Tuesday. Uh, would you dance, uh, Kyle, for a discount on gas? Yeah, I might. You might? Really? I might.
SPEAKER_00You would think about it? I I would probably think about it. No, I probably would.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I got 15 bucks off my gas bill or 20% off your entire bill. I'm doing the Marcarena. I'm doing whatever you want me to do. I'm definitely dancing my way towards it.
SPEAKER_00You would be you'd be dancing enough for everybody. Yeah, that's true.
SPEAKER_02Well, awesome. Congratulations, Kyle. Thanks for calling in and uh having fun with us on this talk about something good Tuesday. And you just won six tickets, compliments, and mountain mobile autoglass and tent to the Deuce of Club's Thunder Speedway this Saturday. What station hooked you up?
SPEAKER_00UCountry 92.5. You know it.
