Paula was the fastest British female sprinter during the 90s with a time of 11.15, and went to the 1988 Olympics Games. Over her athletic career she won numerous Commonwealth Games and national titles.
Paula was appointed in 2012 as the ParalympicsGB Track and Field head coach, this appointment meant she was the first female and black head coach appointed by British Athletics. She talks about how its too tiring to be someone else and through confidence she discovered she just needed to be herself and only herself.

She wants anyone around her to reach their true potential and believes in coaching the person as they achieve the medals.

A mum of two boys believes a good network around you is essential. With them and her husband she is able to achieve being the best her in all aspects of her life
