This Podcast will focus on fiction writing that deals with families undergoing the chaos of severe challenges. We'll start by introducing my two published novels, "The Overlife: A Tale of Schizophrenia" (https://amazon.com/dp/191685219X) and "Three Kidnapped, Three Siblings, Three Furies"(https://amazon.com/dp/B0DPXW76DV/), with some information about myself. For example, "The Overlife" is inspired by my personal experience with my paranoid schizophrenia and my mother's. "Three Siblings" deals with sibling abuse and is inspired by my complex PTSD. I also live with absence epilepsy. My mind is "Fractured" by these conditions, affecting the "Ink" I choose to leave on my writing pages. We will also discuss these conditions for their own sake. We will feature other authors dealing with families facing the chaos of a severe challenge.
Despite the serious nature of this description, we will have some fun! Humor has always been a big part of my life and is sometimes the best therapy.

Hello, I hope you're enjoying uh your weekend and have digested by now your uh Thanksgiving dinner. Uh so today uh is the beginning of uh Cyber Monday on Amazon Prime, and so uh it'll be Saturday, Sunday, and Monday rather than just Monday. So I um went shopping myself, and uh what I decided to get was the Amazon Kindle Color Soft uh because I am convinced it's a completely different experience from the Kindle Scribe and the Kindle Fire Max 11 that I have recently purchased. Okay, so it's my third Kindle recently purchased, but each will have its own function. So I can't show you the ColorSoft because I've just ordered it, and but I will certainly make a video on it once uh once I get it, and uh an audio podcast also. So just let me read what I found out about it and what attracted me to it. So the Amazon Kindle Color Soft is a genuine delight for anyone who thought e-readers had hit their ceiling. For the first time, color e ink feels not like a gimmick but like a revelation. Comic book panels pop with saturated yet gentle hues. Illustrator cookbooks and travel guides look almost as rich as their print counterparts, and even simple highlighted notes glow in soft pastels without straining the eyes. The new Carta 1300 display is noticeably snappier than when turning pages. The warm front light adjusts more intelligently than ever, and the subtle flush-to-screen design finally ditches that slightly recessed look of older Kindles. Battery life remains gloriously week-long. It's still waterproof, and the colour experience somehow manages to feel both vibrant and soothing. Exactly what you want when you're curled up with a graphic novel at 2 a.m. or browsing a glossy magazine on the beach. After years of black and white dominance, the colour soft doesn't just add colour to the Kindle lineup, it makes every previous model feel a little incomplete by comparison. It's the e-reader we've been waiting for without quite knowing we needed it. Well, that resonated with me because uh, you know, as a as a fiction uh author, I am mainly using the Kindle Scribe, and I had I now have my new Kindle Fire Max 11 uh uh for reading the research that I'm doing. So uh I've described at length why I find uh the Kindle Scribe very, very useful for uh writing a novel, and I have done uh an episode on uh the Kindle Fire Max 11, which of course, as well as being a Kindle, is uh a tablet, and so you can do all sorts of things on it, like watch films and so on. But the Kindle uh ColorSoft looks like it's made for all sorts of other types of books that I probably will want to look at in my downtime when I'm having a break from uh writing my book. And I've done as much research as I can on it uh by by looking at photos and so on to see that uh this colored version will really be something to enjoy. Uh so uh I've taken the plunge and it was on uh on a discount uh and uh the notice said that uh there are not that many left.
