The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has always believed in the equality of all mankind. Protestors and those who oppose the history of our people, try to judge and view historical events through the rose colored glasses of modern times, not accounting for the climate of society during the times of the events they observe. In the United States of America, the LDS people were the first to legally establish women’s rights in Wyoming and in the territory of Utah. Some of the first women Doctor of Medicine in the West were LDS women. Brigham Young encouraged and arranged financing for the medical education of women of the church. He encouraged some of the women who completed their medical training to open and supervise the Deseret Hospital Association. We live in a completely different environment, and therefore have different needs, opportunities and interactions, than individuals who pioneered the frontiers of the West, and  women’s suffrage.  We know that God loves all His children.

GOD LOVES YOU…ASK HIM
