It's a bittersweet but incredibly proud moment as we wrap up Season 1 of the Think Biz podcast! In this special Season One Capstone episode, hosts Garrett Hammonds and Nolan reflect on an amazing journey that saw us achieve over 10,000 social media impressions and rank with more downloads than 50% of podcasters! Your "mighty band of networkers" helped us produce 16 consistent episodes featuring 12 different guests, proving that consistency keeps a podcast alive where many others "die after a couple of episodes". We'll share some of our favorite moments, from personal chuckles before recording to learning profound insights from guests like Robert Norris on mental health in business and the wealth of information from folks like Ben Shrewberry.

But don't be sad—this is just a pause! We're thrilled to officially confirm Season 2 is coming this October! Get ready for exciting enhancements, including:

  • Member-curated questions and topics, ensuring we address what matters most to our community.
  • Bringing in diverse subject matter experts—from university professors who've dedicated their lives to topics, to seasoned corporate leaders.
  • Major tech upgrades like a better recording software, a virtual studio with video capabilities (for YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcast), and improved audio quality.
  • The introduction of our first-ever season sponsor, enhancing overall quality and output.

The Think Biz organization has expanded to five clubs across three Oklahoma cities, and this podcast continues to be a core part of our mission to connect like-minded people doing "good things in the community". Your love and support helped us get here, and "it's only going to get better!" So stay sharp, Think Biz, and prepare for an even bigger Season 2!

SPEAKER_00:

day, podcast host Mr. Hammons. I'm sad. Why are you sad, Garrett? I'm sad. Come on, it's not that bad. We... Have made it to the end of season one of the Think Biz podcast. Woo! See, no reason to be sad there. It's a mile spell. That's fair. That's fair. It's a bittersweet because I'm so incredibly proud of what we've done this season. But then, you know, we're going to need to take a break in between season one and season two. We have things to do. Work to be done. We've got stuff. Mm-hmm. important stuff. But surely, all things considered, I've had a great time. It's been a very enjoyable way to spend my Tuesdays for the past four months. This has been awesome. So a big thank you to start off with because we've had our community of listeners giving us so much love this season. We've gotten a lot of great feedback from people. We've had... All kinds of different viewers. We've even had people go in and comment and leave reviews and it's way more than what I was just kind of expecting to make some content and no one would really listen. But you mighty band of networkers, you... What have you done for us? What have our listeners actually provided us, my good sir, as far as the numbers go? Well, I did put together some numbers for us and... I've been really proud. Our social media posts this, well, it's been about four months since we started. And in April to now, we've gotten over 10,000 impressions on social posts. Yes, snaps, snaps. We also found out from one of our podcaster friends that we've gotten more downloads than about 50% of podcasters. Look at us. And I was shocked to hear that. But something that we're really proud of. And one of the things that comes into play there is a lot of podcasts just die after a couple of episodes. But y'all have helped us be able to make this consistent and fun. And we've done 15 episodes. This will be number 16. And we've had 12 different guests. Mighty 12. I'm blown away. The ThinkBiz apostles, you have done it. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. We appreciate everyone in our network. Across now multiple days, it has grown over these past four months as well. Yeah. I mean, the ThinkBiz organization, like we have five different clubs now across Oklahoma and three different cities. Yeah. So it's just, I mean, it's such a short amount of time that we've been open, but all of these different things are just moving so quickly in the best way possible. But with that, Nolan, my guy, my co-host, what has been some of your favorite parts of the Think Biz podcast so far? Any favorite moments? I do enjoy most moments before we hit record. Those are always good chuckles to get things rolling, whether it be palling around with Brett and I talking about anime or just Rob Herron, us just shooting the breeze before we hit record and then catching people unawares. Those are always fun. We like that. Before Rob Herron's episode, I had never actually seen his power washing truck. Oh, no. He gave me the full tour of all the different doodads and doohickeys that... go together to make his massive tanks of water and chemicals and all the magic that goes into his power washing. But apart from the physical stuffs of our good and glorious members, I always enjoy talking about stuff with you in our solo episodes. I loved our art conversation with Karen Bunch. That was a lovely episode that a lot of our listeners I sent out the link to enjoyed. Did you have any other favorites, my good sir, that you know of? Oh, man. I... I feel like I learned so much from everybody. Even going back to episode two with our first outside guest, Robert Norris. The myth. The myth. The legend. The Norris. Talking about things like good mental health inside of running a successful business can make such a big impact. And Ben Shrewsbury, he... Talk about a guy who can do it all. He has so many businesses and his background coming from the military, going into taking care of people who have lived their life in service. It's just so much wealth of information that we've been able to pull from everybody. But I am a sucker for our own solo episodes too. Talking stories. Talking stories. Talking book club. Sharing things. But what's also fun has been just the overlap in everyone's differences in their stories. We've come to similar conclusions, which funnily enough brings us to the same networking group as far as how we solve problems, what we want our business lives to look like. It's really nice to know that there is just groups of like-minded people that are trying to do good things in the community. And it really goes back to the fact that relationships matter so much when you are running any kind of business, but especially if you're just getting started with a business. It's not easy. And like we even talked about in our episode with Mike here just two episodes ago, we don't jump into any kind of business situations without risk. Risk is just a part of what we do. But if we build up around us the right relationships and we go in with the right mentalities and make it happen, it can be one of the most rewarding experiences. And I mean, honestly, that's how I felt with this podcast. So just, ugh. I'm sad, Nolan. I'm sad. We don't have to be sad, though. There's more joy to come. We have plans. We have action steps that we are taking. We'll actually make more content. So you're saying there's going to be a season two. There will be a season two. Womp. Womp. I was going to make a celebratory sound.

UNKNOWN:

Womp. Womp.

SPEAKER_00:

Coming this fall to a podcast distributor near you. Yes, so we're going to do a season two, and we are going to do a lot of the things that people have grown to love. The theme song will be the same. No, I thought we were going to change that. What?

UNKNOWN:

What?

SPEAKER_00:

I will fight you. I know. Most everybody would fight us. One of the first pieces of feedback I got from someone was their partner walking around. Well, I'll just name names. Dirk told me that Catherine, after she listened to the first episode, was just walking around the house going, Business Solutions. So that'll be the same. It's going to be exactly the same. We'll keep that. And we're also going to still incorporate members into our episodes. It's a core part of who we are and a part of this business community that we have around us. But with a little bit of a shift as well. A little shift because we've noticed that people are still shy. Even though we're all risk takers doing business for ourselves, some of us are a little shy. So we're going to make sure to have some more member curated questions or topics. But really try and bring in subject matter experts as well. years at a corporation and then they quit to go do something on a topic. I don't know. Who knows? Who knows? We'll find people. But it'll be cool. So a little bit of the same, but a little bit of a difference as well. And still 30-ish minutes per episode. That's right. So it's going to be really your nice commute time. Pero mi español se me malo. Now he's going to have to get a new co-host because mi Espanol is muy mal. Un poco. That was worse than mine. Never mind. Un poco. Fine. We'll replace Garrett for the Spanish episodes. So we need translators. We need voice dubs. We're going to have a whole behind the scenes studio now. We could do Mandarin. I can say... Ni hao. I can say bing. It means ice. It means ice. Yeah. Go as dog. The only Chinese I know is from a poster I've had since I was about 13 or so. It says, What's that mean? Giving respect to your elders or betters. That's a good one. It's more profound than mine. Well, tell us... Tell us on the tech side, what do people have to look forward to? Well, Jeepers, we do have our audio figured out at this point. We will probably have a better recording software as well to utilize. A mic per guest, which will be nice. And we might even, might even, be able to do it digitally. So we won't have to have people in the studio anymore. And then again, a tech thing pops up and then our outro starts playing 11 minutes into the episode. That will happen less often unless we want it to. That was just the chime of success. The success guitar. I think another exciting thing is we're going to look at making some of this into a virtual studio. One of the benefits of that will be hopefully incorporating some cool video to go into things. Yeah, YouTube channel, having it on some of the different platforms like Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Does Apple Podcasts let people do video? It might. I don't know. I'm a Spotify guy. Spotify works more for me usually. Yeah, yeah. But anyway. But for you Apple Podcast listeners out there, we still love you. We're going to make sure that you can listen and download at your leisure. That's right. For a time, we had a race about midway through the season where Apple had the most listeners, but you got overtaken by... by Spotify listeners. So if you want to represent for your platform, you're going to have to step up your game, Apple people. And Spotify listeners, we know there's more than four of you. So please leave us a review. That's right. Oh, yeah. We have about four reviews. We have quite a few more listeners than that. Quite a few more listeners. Y'all need to get out there. Give us some love. Due diligence. Come on. Show some representation over here for Think Biz Solutions. Now, One of the other things that we are looking to incorporate inside of this new season is going to be a mechanism to improve quality and just the overall output of the podcast. And that, drumroll please... Is a sponsor. What? That was a sound generated by a computer. That was a very good soundboard right there. See the new technology that is being provided. Oh, there it goes again. So we're going to be getting a sponsor for next season to be able to help spread the news about the podcast. We may upgrade some of our equipment, but also just have a partner inside of this. And so we're going to be doing some curated outreach for this, but also... Networking. Networking. That's right. That's right. But if you are hearing this episode and you're like, oh my goodness, my business would be Perfect for this. Reach out to us. We may have some micro-sponsors along the way inside of episodes, and we're going to have a season sponsor. And so it's going to be a whole lot of goodness coming to their way. I mean, this podcast, it's only going to get better. It's amazing right now, if I do say so myself, but it's only going to keep getting better. And you will get some lovely voiced... mid-roll, pre-roll, post-roll advertisements by the two of us. That's right. We can talk about your business every week if you want us to. That's right. And you can even tell me if you want the air horn effects in your ad. Do we need to hear it one more time? One more

SPEAKER_01:

time.

SPEAKER_00:

We need to add Winnie the Pooh sounds onto the soundboard. That would be great. Oh, bother.

UNKNOWN:

Oh, bother.

SPEAKER_00:

Um, man. So how long of a break is this going to be? I'm sad, Nolan. Don't be sad. We're still going to be doing stuff behind the scenes. Okay, so our dopamine circuits are still going to be rolling. It's just that everyone else needs to be a little patient till October. October. All right. Okay. It's not too bad. It's not going to be too bad. Let's let school start. Let's let summer finish itself off as best as it can in Oklahoma and actually get some cooler temperatures. To keep you entertained on your drive. Well, I have to say just one last big thank you to all the listeners out there. We love you all, unless you're bad. Unless you're bad. But even if you are bad, bad press is good marketing. And we appreciate you for listening anyway. We do. But for all of our good, goody-goody-two-shoes networking listeners, you consummate professionals of the OKC Metro area. You're the real. We appreciate you. That's right. Well, I guess we have to do our thing one last time. One last time. Garrett Hammons, it has been a pleasure making this with you. Be sure to stay sharp. And think biz.

Thank you.
