Seeds And The Spoken Word
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
What if the real shift isn’t the soil under your feet but the seed on your tongue? We take a fresh look at Mark 4 and move beyond self-diagnosing thorny ground to embrace the calling to sow living words. By tracing a thread from the parable of the sower to John 6:63, we explore how the words of Jesus carry spirit and life—and how our agreement with those words can reshape the landscapes we live in.
We talk practically about identity and authority: God’s workmanship, ambassadors of Christ, heirs by faith, members of His body. That identity informs how we speak. From Mark 11’s mountain-moving faith to Romans 10’s powerful union of belief and confession, we show why your voice is not an accessory to faith but a vital instrument. We unpack how language plants outcomes—blessing or bitterness, peace or panic—and how to align daily speech with Scripture so it nurtures a harvest rather than thorns.
You’ll hear a clear, grace-filled invitation: let Jesus be Lord of your mouth. Replace fear-narratives with promises, speak life over your home and work, and trust the God who designed the earth to respond to good seed. Along the way, we share simple practices to guard your heart, curate your words, and expect steady growth. If you’re ready to move from dry, stony patches to a fruitful field, this conversation offers both vision and steps forward.

SPEAKER_01Hello, friend. Chaplain Terry Warner here. This is Changing Your Focus. It is season two thousand and twenty-five. It is episode number four three. We're going to start in Mark chapter four, verses one through twenty. Won't take the time to read all that, but I'm going to pull out some highlights. For as long as I can remember, when I read the parable of the soar, where the seed fell, I always related myself to the condition of my heart. The word or seeds were eaten by birds, some fell in rocky areas where the seeds or words could not survive. Other seeds, words, fell among thorns. However, some of the words, or the seeds, fell on good soil and produced a harvest of 30, 60, and even 100%. The harvest would refer to the desired result of the seeds or the words being said that had been planted. I would then say a silent prayer and ask the Lord to make my heart like good soil. Let's change our focus to the people, toward the people, and mention in this parable. Who is the sower in the parable? Would that not be God? Who would the sower be in the New Testament? Must we ask ourselves again this question? That's Jesus. Jesus is called the Word or the Seed. If you be Abraham's seed, then are you heirs according to the promise? The body of Christ, or in other words, the born-again church, with Jesus being the head of the body, is his words or seeds, and is therefore the sower. What is the seed being sown? Would it not be the words of Jesus? Are the seed being sown? The word of God. No, it isn't. It's in John. The Spirit gives life. The flesh sent senses, the flesh or senses counts for nothing. The words or seeds I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life. John 663, NIV, and I have emphasis on the words and the seeds. That is why your words or seeds that you speak can transform your circumstances and conditions in your life and bring about a desired result. In Genesis, we see God saying, Let there be. That's the New Testament. Friend, you are made in the image and likeness of God. What does that mean? It means that you are God's workmanship. That's Ephesians 2, 6 through 10, His possession, His work, and we are created in His righteousness. 2 Corinthians 5, 10 through 21. It means that we are ambassadors for Christ. We are not mere men. Our faith and trust is in Jesus Christ. Jesus says we could have what we say. Mark 11, 22 through 25. It means we have the power and authority in Christ, or a power of attorney if you look at it that way. To cast out devils, speak with new tongues, take up serpents. If they drink any deadly thing, that's church, it shall not hurt them. And they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. Mark 16, verses 17 and 18, King James Version. So are you going to remain in dry, stony, thorn-infested seeds? Or are you ready to sprout and grow into a full-blown harvest of God? The seeds have been planted in your heart, they are to be spoken out your mouth, and they are to be believed when you speak them to bring about the desired result. Put your trust in Jesus Christ that He died for you, went to hell for you, and brought you your fre bought you your freedom to become a child of God. Romans 10 9 and 10 says it very clearly that if thou shalt confess the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and you believe in your heart that God had raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Words, words, seeds. The words are containers carrying the seeds. They go into the earth. The earth has the ability or the seed has the ability to activate the earth and bring those seeds to uh fruition to to completeness. Whether they be a plant, whether they be an animal, whether they be a person, or whether they be your desired results, they are coming out your mouth, do you believe them? I believe, therefore I have spoken. Praise the Lord. Jesus is Lord of my mouth. The word of God is alive and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword. That should tell you right there. And it is all the all the world, everything is exposed before it. Think about that this week, and we're gonna dwell a little more on it. You have a good day in Jesus' name. Amen.
