PC LaptopHello friend, Chaplain Terry Warner here. This will be season 2025, episode number 46. Fear Not Bible Verses. We're going to start a series on this. There'll be several parts to this. This will be part one this Monday. And we'll see what's going on how often I release the others. I'm thinking of maybe even putting it into a little book. Fear Not Bible verses. We're in an age right now where we got all kinds of turmoil and disruption and stuff going on. We got nutcases making laws and ignoring laws and people doing this and writing and everything else. And we're just about ready to lose our control of our law enforcement if we don't get back to the basics and get back to the Bible. Your prayers, especially your prayers and praying to God and thanking God for this wonderful country that he gave us. We have got to get back to the basics, get back to the fundamentals. All right, enough. And the way we do that is by speaking words correctly, saying what the Bible says, asking what the Bible says, and then speaking what the Bible says. We know faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. But we've not been, we've taken the notion that means if we read it, we get faith. Well, reading it is good, and you should. And if you do read it, read it out loud, because faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Well, I can hear it by myself, but you're not edifying just yourself. There's more to you than just your individual. No man is a is a complete entity by himself. We need God in everything. And the Holy Spirit wrote several times, faith cometh by hearing. Faith worketh by love. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. You want to see peace? Start speaking peace. You want to see love? Start speaking love, and then your actions will follow what your mouth says. So let's start in James 3, the verses on the tongue. Did you ever wonder why you couldn't control or tame your tongue? It is because the tongue, although a physical part of your body, is not completely controlled by a physical organ, such as your brain. The tongue is controlled by your heart or your soul. Because of spiritual law, the tongue carries more authority than a physical organ does. That is one reason why we can't speak in your desired result or bring your speech words into receiving exactly what you are saying. Whenever the heart and tongue agree, then the results of your spoken words become a reality. It may take some time and it may take some doing, but sooner or later it's going to become a reality. Jesus is the word of God made flesh. How many times in the Old Testament did they say Jesus was coming? Jesus was coming, Jesus was coming. How many times? Just thousands of times. And what happened? Jesus came. He was the word of God made flesh. The word of God, the Father, came down in the body of Jesus with the Holy Spirit. All three worked together. And Jesus, or the Word, became flesh and dwelt among us. I'm getting ahead of myself. The Word of God made flesh, or Jesus will state this very plainly. Starting with James 3. Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect or mature man, able to keep his whole body in check. When we put bits into the mouth of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal, or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds or mechanical engines, they are steered, directed by a very small rudder, wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider or give thought to what a great force is set on fire by such a small spark. The tongue is also a fire, maybe just a small one to start, but it intensifies as it continues to boast. In other words, an unkind word, a marital spat, a mean joke. The tongue it sets on fire a world of evil among the other parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person and sets the whole course of his life on fire, and it is itself the tongue set on fire by hell, the devil and his system. By listening to our speech and to a large extent the speech of others, and the tongue will speak the words of instruction and knowledge into our hearts, and then we will speak the same devilish words and consequently receive our disastrous results. Let me straighten that out a little bit. By listening to our speech and to a large extent the speech of others, and the tongue will speak the words of instruction and knowledge into our hearts, and then we speak the same devilish words and consequently receive our disastrous results. I'll give you an example. Our news bulletins, our news reports, our weather reports, all of that stuff is of going to the census and telling you what's going to happen, and you need to fear, you need to do this. Insurance is insurance is fear. I'm not saying you need to go out and get rid of your insurance. I'm saying you need to realize that the word of God is what maintains the status quo. The word of God is what give forgives you your sins. The word of God is who forgives you your sins, cleans you of all unrighteousness, and establishes your going. And you're rising up and you're lying down. In everything you do, the word of God and the words out of your mouth, you have believed, therefore you have spoken. And it will bring you'll bring it to pass, some to good, some to bad. Matthew 12 and Luke 6, 45, the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. In Matthew 12, 22 to 36, concerning the topics of Jesus and Beelzebub, we start reading in verse 22. Then a blind and dumb man was brought to Jesus, and he cured him, so that the blind man both spoke and saw. And all the crowds of the people were stunned and bewildered wonder, and said, This cannot be the son of David, can it? The Son of Man was commonly accepted as the title of the expected Messiah. But you see, they knew Jesus when he was a regular person hate to say a regular person. They knew Jesus from a fleshly point of view, from a sense point of view. They played with him, they talked with him. Matthew 1 1, Matthew 9 27, Matthew 15 22, Matthew 20 30, Matthew 21 9, Matthew 22, verse 42, and John 7, verse 42, the Son of Man, Son of David. But the Pharisees, hearing it, said, This man drives out demons only by and with the help of Beelzebub, the prince of demons. And knowing their thoughts, he said to them, Any kingdom that is divided against itself is being brought to desolation and laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will last or continue to stand. And if Satan drives out Satan, he has become divided against himself and disunified. How then will his kingdom last or continue to stand? And if I drive out demons by the help of Beelzebub, by whose help do you son do your sons drive them out? See, they were driving out demons too, or they had the ability to. For this reason they shall be your judges. But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you, in other words, before you expected it. Or how can a person go into a strong man's house and carry off his goods, the entire equipment of his house, without first binding a strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house. He who is not with me, definitely on my side, is against me, and he who does not definitely gather with me and from my side scatters. Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy, every evil, abusive, injurious, speaking, or indignity against sacred things can be forgiven men. But blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not and cannot be forgiven. And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Spirit of the Holy One will not be forgiven, either in this world or in the age to come. In verse 28, but if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you before you expected it. So let's go down a rabbit hole that we haven't gone down recently about the unpardonable sin. One must notice that the religious leaders, the Pharisees and Sadducees, while disliking and hating Jesus, did not deny his miracles, which were too numerous and too well known to deny. Even when the miracles were for help and healing, the Pharisees attributed him to satanic origin. But they had a choice, either accept the miracles that's from God, in which case they had to accept Jesus, or the miracles had to be done in the power of Satan, since they were clearly superhuman in origin. It was by their own admission that their accusations, rather than Jesus' miracles, that they were Satan inspired. This choice would put them almost beyond redemption. In Luke 12, 10, and whoever's and whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him. But unto him that it blasphemes against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven. And when they bring you into you in the synagogues and unto the magistrates and powers, take no thought how you answer or what you shall say, for the Holy Ghost shall teach you the same hour what you ought to say. For how can a person go into a strong man's house and carry off his goods, the entire equipment of his house, without first binding the strong men? Then indeed he may plunder his house. He who is not with me, definitely on my side, is against me, and he who does not definitely gather with me and from my side scatters. Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy, every evil, abusive, injurious speaking, or indignity against the sacred things, can be forgiven men. But blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not and cannot be forgiven. And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven. But whoever speaks against the Spirit, the Holy One, will not be forgiven, either in this world and age, or in the world and age to come. So we see that we find that we we climb a uh we a fragile ladder here that breaks and falls apart. You don't worry about the unpardonable sin. If you're a Christian and you believe in Christ, you're not going to commit it. This was taught Jesus talking to the Jewish leaders of that time. And his work on the cross and the blood of his sacrifice cleansed us from all unrighteousness and sin and established our God. And we are forgiven of our sins, past, present, and future. What we really need to do is live like we have been forgiven of our sins. Did you notice the distinction between sin against himself and sin against the Holy Spirit? The unpardonable sin is often understood to mean that rejecting Christ while he was here on earth and his work was completed and the Holy Spirit had come, then the deliberate final rejection of the Holy Spirit's offer of Christ would constitute the eternal sin for which there is no forgiveness ever. Also, a similar sin is spoken of in Hebrews 6.6, Hebrews 10.26, and 1 John 5.16. Hebrews 6 4 through 12 says, For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted of the good word of God and the powers of the world to come, if they fall away to renew them again unto repentance, seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open chain. For the earth which drinks in the rain that cometh often upon it, and brings forth herbs, able for them by who it is dressed, and receives blessings from God. But that which bears thorns and briars is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing, whose end is to be burned. But beloved, that's us. We are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. If you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and believed in your heart that raised him from the condead, and confess him with your mouth that Lord and Savior, you shall be saved of your sins past, of your sins present, and of your sins future. Does that mean you quit repenting of your sins? Of course not. Does it mean you quit trying to please God? Of course not. It means you dig deeper into the Word of God and get in the fullness of God's Word, where you can live and walk in divine health and prosperity, where everything you set your hand to do prospers, where you are more than a conqueror. More than a conqueror through Jesus Christ. Not just a conqueror, more than a conqueror. You have a blessed day. It's a good note to end on. And we'll pick up part two and cover some more Bible verses and fear, the subject of fear. Perfect love casteth out fear. I've not been given a spirit of fear, but a love and judgment and a sound mind. Praise God, I have the mind of Christ. He who knew no sin was made to be sin for me, that I might be made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Again, you have a blessed day in Jesus' name. Amen. This has been Chaplain Terry Warner.
