SPEAKER_01Hello, friend, Chaplain Terry Warner here. This will be Fear Not Bible Verses. It's part two. Its season is 2025. It's episode number 47. And it will publish on November 17th, 2025, at 1 o'clock in the morning, if you want to get up. Good morning. I'm feeling good today. Let's get going with our foundation scriptures. Matthew 13, Mark 4, and Luke 8. All of them are chapters. All of them refer to sowing seed and reaping a harvest. And that's what we want to do. If we were to make an acronym for fear, we could define it as false evidence appearing as real. F E A R. It's actually faith in reverse or faith in the opposite direction. If I have faith that a chair is gonna hold me up, I can have fear that a chair is not gonna hold me up. But that's a physical kind of uh example. I've not been given a spirit of fear. Now let me back up. I don't want to get ahead of myself here. Our fears to us, even in the ridiculous arena of our mind, are real to us. And if we are not careful, we will react and make decisions that are both not to our benefit. A lot of us, because of our fears, never take the necessary steps to conquer this fear that the devil has put on us. After an internet search of the phrase fear not, we can find that it appears in the Bible 77 times. Similar phrases mentioning fear can be found around 365 times in the Bible. I like to think about it as one today. We have been instructed in Scripture when Paul was writing to Timothy, starting in verse six, for this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love, and of self discipline. So do not be ashamed or embarrassed to testify about the Lord, or ashamed of me, Paul, because I am his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life, not because of anything we have done, but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. That's 2 Timothy 1, 6 through 10. Timothy was a young pastor, and the city of Ephesus was estimated to be 200,000 to 250,000 people. Even meeting as a house church, it was a large responsibility, and it is estimated he was around thirty to thirty five years old when Paul wrote to Timothy. Also, political upheaval was common, idolatry in the city was rampant, and the government and city officials were not tolerant of Christians. Read 2 Corinthians 11, 23 through 27 to get an idea of Paul's life. The church or the believers in Christ are being pushed down and have almost given in to the spirit of timidity, and because of that have let a spirit of fear enter in and is pushing the church into silence and passivity passiveness. We are too snug, especially in America, with our materialistic toys, hobbies, and secrets of pleasures and activities, while letting others go to their destruction without Christ in the heart. Christians must become active and seek out the loss, because if we don't, we are sending our children down the road to destruction. Start today to get active and become a Christian before we travel any further down the road to perdition. You know, I look at all the politics and the rioting and the illegal immigration and everything. And we were a country of laws at one time. You obeyed the law. And we need to get back to that. And these cities that are going their own separate ways and not enforcing the law and fighting against the government uh enforcement and stuff. I'm not for losing freedom or rights at all. But if we don't control what we have, what we have is going to control us. And that right now is political disruption, uh, you know, disregard for laws, no civility. Our government has become a pad your pocket and live off a lifestyle while the rest of the country goes to pot. And it was not made or set up like that way. We can keep this republic only if we have moral and ethical uh strongholds or moral and ethical laws that are for the good of the person, not for the riot by the mob. These people coming in here that are rioting and causing problems and trying to overthrow our government and stuff, need to be treated as criminals and tried or deported. But we need to be we we cannot let them uh just run rampant and ignore them. That's what we've done for too long. Well, you understand what I'm saying. We've not been given a spirit of fear, but a love and sound mind. We've been given the name of Jesus, and we've been are to be called Christians by our love. And it is by our love that they will know that we are the right way. We are the correct way to go. But love has got to have enforcement and restrictions on people that are not familiar with the God's laws and stuff. We hate the sinner. I said that wrong. We hate the sin, but we love the sinner. We hate the sin, but we love the sinner. So I'm telling asking you today check your heart, get right with God and get back to the basics of civility and citizenship and making this country great again. I know we don't like this, we don't like that. Quit focusing on what you don't like and start focusing and doing what you do like. Our country needs to repent and give itself to God. And when we do, God will start paying attention and healing our land and bring us back like we're supposed to. You've not been given a spirit of fear. It's never too late to succeed. You have a blessed day in Jesus' name. Amen. My podcasts come out every Monday morning. When you go to my website, thechaplainscorner.net, there will be a drop-down menu for my website.
