Ever wondered why a bright start with faith can fade into old habits? We take on that honest tension and chart a clear path back to first love—rooted in God’s everlasting kindness, grounded in unity with Christ, and sustained by simple, repeatable practices that actually change your day. From Jeremiah 31:3 to John 17, we show how love and oneness aren’t abstract ideas but living anchors that steady your heart and reshape your choices.

We walk through a practical rhythm for the season: carry Thanksgiving forward into Christmas, and let gratitude shift your inner climate. You’ll hear a bold, speak-it-aloud confession designed to help you refuse fear, welcome peace, and guard your mind with Scripture. Then we move from theory to action: what it means to master yourself by letting the Word master you, how to stop being a spectator and stir up the Spirit’s gift, and why redemption in Galatians 3 means you don’t have to live under the curse. This is everyday discipleship—mercy, forgiveness, praise, and small acts of obedience that add up to a life that shines.

Along the way, we connect key verses—Isaiah 26, 1 Thessalonians 5, John 15, Hebrews 4—to a practical plan you can start today. If you’ve felt stuck, you’ll find a gracious reset: speak truth, act on promise, and let love lead. And if you’re ready to be a beacon for someone else, you’ll have clear handles to live the good news with steady joy.

If this encouraged you, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs hope, and leave a review so more people can find the show. What one step will you take today to live as a new creation?

Please like or follow me and thank you so much for listening. A little more music while I get ready. Hello friend, Chaplain Terry Warner here. This podcast will be New Creation Realities. It's season 2025-2025, Episode 48, and it will come out on December first, 2025. New Creation Realities. Your foundation scripture is 2 Corinthians 5 17. When you gave your heart to Jesus and was born again, how long was it before you returned to your old lifestyle? That was sort of an embarrassing question. Sort of. Huh, that was embarrassing. How dare you ask me that question? Well, I was fortunate enough to be given a mentor that trained me and guided me through my new walk with Jesus Christ. Now don't panic, because by the end of this article, the Holy Spirit is going to be intervene and bring you back to your first love, Jesus. So the first thing we need to do is start by reading this verse out loud. I have loved you with an everlasting love. I have drawn you with loving kindness. Jeremiah 31 3. Read that verse out loud also. Jesus is speaking to the disciples, but includes us. I should say read this verse out loud also. My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me, as Jesus, through their message, that be the disciples, that all of them may be one, Father, our God the Father, just as you are in me, Jesus, may they, that's us, believers, also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one, I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me, because you loved me before the creation of the world. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews thirteen eight says, is a reminder that God is love, and his love surrounds you and is with you and is available to you all the time. Everything God has done has been with his love at the very base of it. It is from the love of God the Father, Jesus the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, that He has loved us with an everlasting love. So today, right now, immediately, we must realize that our responsibility is to demonstrate the love of God to the lost and downtrodden. We are not to quit and give up and live by ourselves, but we are to be beacons of shining light that draws others to Christ. It is an appropriate, it is appropriate that Thanksgiving be practiced daily so we can start tomorrow with the ultimate gift of love. That is Christmas and start the celebrating of Jesus' birth and arrival to Christmas, wherein the gift of God to the world is eternal redemption. Let me straighten that out a little bit. I was a thinking and typing at the same time. We just celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday, and we need to be thankful, and we need to keep that same attitude as we go into the Christmas and holiday seasons. So let us quit our complaining, our sinning, and get ourselves to working with God to bring an everlasting love to the world. Here are some thoughts to get you going. This is your today's confession. Boldly, confess this boldly. I refuse and conquer the desire to give in to circumstances and conditions, conditions that are contrary to your word, Jesus. I start right now to start showing and living an attitude of mercy, forgiveness, and continual praising to God. Back that up with 1 Thessalonians 5 18. I will ignore the thoughts that are trying to make me fearful. Isaiah 26, verse 3. Because I have peace from your word, Jesus, it will act as guard, a guard from wrong thoughts from entering my heart, and will stop foolish and contrary words from coming out of my mouth, and establishing a stronghold against Jesus. The Word. So starting right now, I received the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, and because I have received salvation and have been born again, I now devote myself to learning God's Word or getting to know Jesus better, and living a victorious life, obeying God until He calls me home. Number two, master yourself. Oh, that's a big one. Master yourself by letting Jesus' word master you. Isaiah 14 24, John fifteen and seven. You don't do anything, you don't do this anything, or you don't do anything but but by yourself. You do it because God's Word Jesus did it, and He gives you the power to do what He did. John three thirty-four Hebrews four twelve Quit being a spectator Ephesians five eighteen James two verses seventeen and twenty-six. Be active by using God and His Holy Spirit to live a holy life. Don't wait on God to activate God's word in your life. Stir up the Holy Spirit in your life now. Second Timothy one, six and seven. Here's some additional scriptures. Acts four twenty nine, Acts three, six, Romans eight, eleven, Mark sixteen, verse seventeen, John fourteen, verse sixteen. Decide today to quit living under the curse. Deuteronomy twenty-eight lists the blessings and the curses. Galatians three verses thirteen and fourteen inform you that you've been redeemed from that curse. You have a blessed day. In Jesus' name. Amen. This has been Chaplain Terry Warner. My podcasts come out every Monday morning. You can find them on thechaplainscorner dot net. Thank you and God bless you. In Jesus' name. Amen.
