Trust After Trauma- Episode #37 Calm Body, Quiet Mind: Trust Yourself Again with Julie Scott
In this episode, we explore how calming the body and quieting the mind creates a safe inner space where self-trust can begin to grow again. When our nervous system is overwhelmed, it’s difficult to hear our inner voice—but through gentle practices like breathwork, stillness, and mindful awareness, we can return to a place of calm and clarity. As the noise softens, you’ll begin to reconnect with your intuition, make more grounded choices, and rebuild trust in yourself—one peaceful moment at a time.
- * How does calming the body help us reconnect with our inner voice and begin trusting ourselves again?
- * What are a few simple practices we can use when the mind feels overwhelming or noisy?
- *What shifts can someone expect to notice as they begin to feel more regulated and grounded within themselves?

Julie is an Immersive Meditation Coach, Certified Hypnotherapist, and Somatic Therapist who helps women reconnect with their inner voice and trust themselves again.
After leaving an unfulfilling marriage, she realized that lasting change wasn’t about trying harder, it was about calming the body and working with the subconscious patterns driving everything underneath.
Now, Julie blends meditation, somatic work, and subconscious reprogramming to help women move out of overwhelm and into a state of calm, grounded clarity. Her mission is to help women come home to themselves and create change that actually lasts.
Julie loves to sing in Coachella Acappella Women's Chorus and "Party of 4" Quartet in Coachella Valley. She shares her home with her partner Paul and two loving kitties, Spencer and Sidney.
