Welcome to the Gale Force Organizers Podcast, where clutter gets conquered and chaos meets its match. Hosted by organizing pro Tammy Gale, helping Colorado Springs families and small businesses bring order and function to their spaces. Organize your space to simplify your life. Let's get started.
Speaker 2:Welcome everyone. I'm Tony Hills, co-host and producer here in the studio with Tammy Gale. Tammy, how's it going?
Speaker 3:It's wonderful today. I'm glad to be here. Thank you.
Speaker 2:Awesome. Over the years you've been dedicated to growing your business, gale Force Organizers. However, some listeners might not be familiar with your full journey. Let's take it from the top. Could you share a little background about your company and what you do?
Speaker 3:Sure, gale Force Organizers is really a full-service professional organizing company that serves Colorado Springs area and we really focus on home and small business organizing. These services basically take any space and increase its functionality and creates easy to maintain systems. We also do relocation and move management. We help people declutter, pack and prep for a move. We can do the move coordination and we also can actually unpack and set up your home when you move in. And then we also have a special place in our heart to assist seniors as they transition either to adult communities or downsizing, right-sizing to ensure that their home is a place that they value and want to spend time. So we also make sure that that's safe and accessible for them.
Speaker 2:Awesome. When you're not busy running your business, what do you do for fun?
Speaker 3:Well, we are avid travelers. You give me any time and I'll fill it with a mini vacation, anything from a long weekend to two or three weeks. We also do a lot of hiking and enjoying nature here in the area. It's why we live here. I always will have a book, whether it's taken to lunch so I can get 30 minutes of quiet time myself, or sitting on the backyard. So anything that we can do to be outside and enjoy a little relaxation is what we're here for.
Speaker 2:Great. We know marketing is the key to any business success. How do you market your business?
Speaker 3:Well, we really do it in a couple of ways. We are, of course, doing all of the social media platforms, predominantly Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, but really we find that networking and getting out in the community is really how we find our audience. We are active members of the Senior Resource Council here in town and the Seniors Advocate Collaborative, and we're also just active around the community. I'm a military spouse. My lead organizers are retired military officers. We really try to stay in touch and in tune and we find that referrals are probably the best way that our business grows.
Speaker 2:Okay In your words. Why are you doing this?
Speaker 3:Well, really, I think we felt, along a journey of helping my parents through their senior transitions into assisted living and memory care, that there were really is a lack of service. There's a gap in what's available. Many times, family members want to be concentrating on picking the best facility, trying to ensure the health and well-being of their loved one, and the last thing they have time to do is manage the stuff or take them from a home into a much smaller place. And so, really, after recognizing that there was a need, we quickly realized that we were also unique and had the experience and the skills to do what we needed to do. I've moved. My organizer and I have moved more than 30 times across the country and across the world. We know how to do it, we know how to do it right, and we have used those lessons learned to really help our clients with what we hope is a less stressful and more seamless transition.
Speaker 2:Wow, tammy, you're a very busy person. Love it, tammy. We'll catch you in the next episode. We'll dive into some frequently asked questions. Have a fantastic rest of your day.
Speaker 3:All right, enjoy yours as well, thank you.
