From Hemp Fields To Fire Cider: A Sober Reset On Faith, Plants, And Everyday Wellness
Awe is a muscle, and harvest is our gym. With Sunshine away, I jumped back on the mic to share what’s blooming on the farm and what’s shifting in my heart: a sober-minded reset, a deeper reverence for God’s design, and a hands-on blueprint for turning plants into daily wellness. We start in the hemp rows, where fresh colas sparkle with milky trichomes and the lesson is simple—healing beats hype. I talk through why I set down THC, what a week of clarity feels like, and how hemp’s non-intoxicating cannabinoids can help you find balance without fog. From there, we widen the lens to seeds, gratitude, and the power of rewriting old scripts about this plant.
The moon gets a say too. Coming off the hunter’s moon and moving into the 10/10 portal, I break down how timing can be a tool: let go of what drags, speak out what draws you forward, and align action with intention. That’s exactly how our kitchen turned into a community apothecary. We dive into fire cider—its 1970s roots, why garlic, ginger, horseradish, peppers, and turmeric pack antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory punch, and how raw apple cider vinegar and honey turn all that into an immune and digestive tonic. I share the full process, easy dosing, and creative ways to use it daily, plus why shaking a jar for six weeks can be a prayer as much as a recipe.
Through it all runs a thread of faith and service: Ho’oponopono for presence, farmers markets for connection, and blends that pair hemp with mullein, mugwort, and lemon balm for synergy. If you’ve been curious about hemp without the high, eager to make your first folk remedy, or ready to line up your habits with the lunar calendar, this conversation puts real tools in your hands. If it resonates, subscribe, share with a friend who needs a nudge toward natural wellness, and leave a review to help more people find the high-vibe tribe.

Shangla Shangla Shangla Shangla We're back in action. So good to be here. Welcome to Sunshine and Bubbles podcast numero Dosy. No Docenta Dos 22. Wow, I we're here. Be here now. I'm really missing my partner in crime, Miss Sunshine. As some of you may have heard, she had a death in the family and is dealing with all of that. So I decided, hey, let's throw the headphones on and keep this show on the road as things are happening here on the farm. It is an exciting time with harvest season upon us. So I feel like that I'm I'm here uh solo, running around with the chicken with my head cut off while still trying to be present and still trying to, you know, get my bearings about me and figure out my to-do list. But good news is that it is me, so I can make my own schedule and do what I want, when I want, how I want to do it. So it's kind of liberating in that fashion too. And I am really kind of leaning into that. And it feels good about sending love to my bestie sunshine as she goes through these troubled waters because we have a purpose and he has a plan. So we have a lot of faith and trust in that. And you know, I feel that we just have to keep reminding ourselves step by step, day by day. It's just one day at a time. So don't find yourself, I find myself worrying about things that are to be or that have been. And I'm like, no, no, no, no, no, no, don't go there, Ashley. Absolutely not. We have to stick to the the present moment where we live in a space with zero limits, as I try to live by Hoapona Ono, which is the ancient Hawaiian prayer and mantra of I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. And if I have that in repeat on my head, it is supposed to bring you into the present moment every single time. Then it's the only place to live, and it brings you to have zero limits where anything is possible, even the impossible, and if you believe it, you can achieve it. That was a lot of one-liners there, all wrapped in a little bundle. But hey, that's that's my Ashleyisms. My farm name is Bubbles. I am your friendly host here on our podcast where we are trying to spread peace, love, and light, giving holistic remedies to everyday people that want to feel better naturally. So, as you can see, I have my sweet little Canna Bame friends here with me. I love to keep their energy with me at all times because they're so abundant right now. I literally went back into the fields, my UTV, and harvested this big, beautiful bouquet of hemp buds and flowers. And I just can never uh give her enough praise and reverence and in awe and wonder of his glory and how that he provided such a beautiful plant for us to utilize. And she's here in a full flowering effect right now. I know some people have never seen fresh flower in their lives before. And honestly, before I started farming hemp, I never did either. So it's been really fascinating to see the different phases of cultivation of this natural plant medicine and knowing that this plant here, hemp, holds the keys to a lot of your locks in your system or your receptors that can help bring more balance into your life. And in a world that where everything kind of seems off balance and then throw in the crazy lunar cycles and eclipses and things that are unpredictable while still trying to be present, this really is a plant ally or a tool that you can use in many different forms of consumption to help you live your best life. The whole goal here is when you're using the earth and all of Mother Nature's gifts is to bring to enhance your quality of life, to make you feel better. And that's why they are God's gifts. And I go to church, and Pastor Aaron at New Life off of Highway D reminds us that, you know, scientifically, some of the a lot of nature's animals and remedies just don't seem to make sense. Scientifically, they don't add up like the bumblebee. Like physically, the wings are not supposed to carry the bumblebee. Its weight is too high. But yet it still does. And that is all part of God's plan. And you can't make this stuff up. I feel like when you are living in reverence of God's work, you're in awe and wonder because you your plan is minuscule and tiny compared to what he has in store for you. And if you keep that in your mind, you're just gonna be blown every single time. You're like, whoa, how did this happen? I don't even know. Just kind of like how I'm sitting in this chair right here today. I, you know, I I didn't I didn't plan this. I didn't, I didn't I didn't dream this. I didn't think it was gonna happen, but I feel so called to share. So thank you for listening and thank you for being here. I feel very grateful, humbled, and blessed to have these opportunities and where I have made a commitment to myself to keep showing up. And that's what we're forced to do as humans is just keep showing up, just one foot in front of the other, step by step, day by day. So it's a wild adventure, and in all this reverence and joy is where we really gotta settle it down to. And so I feel like reverence is kind of a new word for me. I never thought, you know, so much what to what reverence had meant. And so I decided to do a little deeper dive into the word reverence, and that is actually our mantra for this episode. And really, and reverence is awe and wonder. It it when you're in reverence of something, you're admiring something and you're taking that mindful intention to stop, pause, and appreciate. And so I directly link that to spirituality as I'm on a wild spiritual ride here that he has taken me. And it's a powerful act of connection. So when you stop and pause and try to connect the dots with things, it's really occupying that space of wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, oh, oh, I love it. I really just love acknowledging his majesty and his grandiere of nature. I mean, the fact that we have a whole natural pharmacy just at our doorstep or outside is pretty wild to think that this access, this abundance is just so available to us. And making those connections of how to best utilize this plant medicine is where I come in and I'm here to help. So yeah, wow, that's really awesome. I just live in in in in in acknowledging that every that you have a purpose and he has a plan. And it is up to you to be able to keep those, those, that spiritual communication line open so you can trust what your heart is telling you, trust what your third eye or mind is telling you, and kind of explore that. And I feel like we're living in a day and age with, you know, the internet and AI, artificial intelligence, where information is accessible at our fingertips. We can literally take two seconds to type something in and ask questions and get answers, and of course, do your research and you know, trust your sources. But how wild! I mean, it used to not be like that. You used to go to the library and check out that book and do a ton of reading or you know, phone a friend. It's kind of like who wants to be a millionaire? There's many different ways to get your information, but now it's it's literally at your fingertips, and to be able to capture it and then create something with it is a beauty and an art all in and of itself for all the creators out there. Shout out to you putting in that good work, having it in your heart to share your gifts, because that's really what it's all about. What's the purpose if we have all this knowledge if you're not gonna share it? You could keep it all to yourself, but I mean that would just be serving your ego, and we don't want to go there. We want to be able to leave a lasting legacy, and that would be to trust his trust his purpose for you and and know that everything is going according to plan. Also, you know, I just have such a deep gratitude for this boundless creation that he has bestowed upon us for our access. I mean, a deep appreciation for this plant. I mean, really, she's just beautiful. I I want to tell you a little bit about this, these hemp. This is a cola. So this is the top flowering part of a hemp plant. And this is fresh straight up. I just picked this a couple of minutes ago from our back 40, our backfield, in which we attempted to grow for biomass and extract all of this plant goodness in a manufacturing setting, an extraction facility to then be introduced back into products for people to consume all different ways, oils, topicals, edibles. But this is this is her, and she is just beautiful. It almost reminds me of kind of like a DNA helix, the way those buds kind of stack up. But I mean, on here you can see the beautiful pistols on there. You can see those juicy trichomes, still milky, not quite amber yet, telling us when it's time for harvest. But I feel like I just live in such awe and wonder of each plant. And honestly, like if you start comparing each bud, they're all so different. They all have different shapes and sizes, and the trichomes are different, and the terpene profiles might vary compared from genetics to genetics. So it's pretty wild the versatility that this plant really does have to offer, and that, you know, she holds the keys to your locks is just another mind-blowing, but very humbling to know that this is here and accessible and available for people to use if we could just get over our own egos and over the propaganda that they've sold us that this plant is evil, which is just wild. I mean, we're living in a time where we can re do our own research and rewrite our script and kind of re-educate ourselves as to what this plant's true intention was. And I really believe that maybe marijuana isn't legalized quite yet because it's giving us the opportunity to appreciate hemp and all that she has to offer because it's really not about the high, it's about the healing. You have to have this deep gratitude, this deep respect for the plant to know that she's trying to help you and make you feel better, not bring you into a different, altered state of mind, altering your psyche and giving you those psychoactive effects. Those feelings of euphoria are great. We all want to feel happier. But if you achieve more balance in your life naturally, you're going to feel happy and live and increase your quality of life. So I'm on an experiment. I have been a cannabis user since my early days in adolescence, as I had an older brother, and we go down that hole of when I first started smoking. Uh, now smoking so much doesn't serve me. So I chose to eat edibles with a THC in it. And as I was kind of touched on the last episode, as I had finished reading the Bible, it was so clear to me to be of sober mind. And so I am on week one of No THC and just using, I shouldn't say just, but just really honing in on hemp and what she has to offer me. And it's been really eye-opening. I feel of sober mind, I feel more clarity. I venture to say even I'm more balanced. I don't have so many ups and downs. And I feel really accomplished knowing that I can do this without having to alter my mindset. So I don't, it is about the healing for me. Truly now. I can say that as I'm a week out from using any mind-altering uh cannabinoids, and it's liberating as well. I feel free, I feel lighter, I feel more in charge of my my mental state. And and I'm accrediting that all to uh trusting my instincts and listening to the insight that I can do it without altering my psyche without THC. So a little experiment as now I have cleared my mind. I've been alcohol-free for two years, and now geez, the thought of not using cannabis or marijuana, I would have never even thought about that. Just even a couple months ago. But it was just I downloaded it and it was so clear, and I'm trusting it, and I'm leaning into it. And so I'm not, you know, I'm not just California sober anymore. I'm completely sober and it feels great. And I really feel like it's so I can be in gratitude of hemp and what is growing so freely and abundantly in my backyard, pretty much of here on the DNA hemp farm. It's all over and it's a weed. And these babies right here, which look super healthy, lush, and abundant. I haven't watered them. I haven't even weeded around them. They are just growing on their own, on their own accord. And so no crazy fertilizers, no pests, they're very pest resistant, so they're not affected by any aphids or bugs out there. And they're just so abundant and lush and beautiful. I literally like was driving on my UTV and I was like cruising around. I just I had my clippers, I'd like stopped like, err, and like cut off a cola, keep driving on, cut off another cola, keep cruising, cut, and then that's why this bucket is happening, happened right here. And my full intention for this beautiful bucket of hemp hemp goodness is I want to hand it out to my buds and add it to their flower bouquet, and maybe, you know, just maybe be inspired to make their own, to heal themselves and make uh and use them as they see fit, whether they want to dry it out and smoke it, whether they want to juice it, the fresh buds and drink it, whether they want to infuse oils and make their own topicals or infuse oils for them to ingest, they can do that too. But again, as we have learned, it is all just a Google click away of what to do with fresh hemp flour. Seriously, isn't that wild? I could, you could, it's kind of like Pinterest, how you look something up and you have a zillion different recipes. That's the same with hemp. I mean, there's so many enthusiasts out there that are so excited about taking their power back and healing themselves holistically with what the nature provides. That I mean, the the information is out there. It's it's abundant and accessible, and it's not just in books. You don't have to go to the library and check these things out. And it's not even underground anymore. I feel like you can talk to your neighbors about this, you can talk to your friends openly and freely and honestly, and kind of share your information that way because people get excited. I what I've learned about hemp and cannabis in the future is that people are super excited, even about the thought of being able to heal themselves. And I feel like hemp truly, again, I know I sometimes feel like a broken record saying this, but it really is an opportunity to take back your power and heal yourself naturally, uh all on your own. And so that's why we need to free the flower and allow people to grow their own so they can play, experiment, and discover, and explore. And it's a gateway to other natural alternatives. As we found, I mean, hemp is not the only thing that can heal you. What about all the other herbs that are available in the garden that God has given us all naturally and freely and that come back year after year, perennials? Oh my gosh, it's crazy. And then we can't even scratch the surface on wildcrafting and what's here naturally. I mean, wow, wow, wow. If you just pay attention and wake up a little bit, and I feel like that's why it's like this is the grand awakening is being attuned to these different medicines and then building your confidence and being able to work with them. Or, or I mean, I feel like just to have the ability to do so, but I totally understand respect and honor that not every this is not everyone's bag, right? Like not everyone gets so excited about plants and wants to work with them and touch them and feel them and smell them and smell them. That's okay. Let me do that. That's why DNA hemp is here. We are, we have learned and we have respect and we have passion for the plant and let us make the plant medicine. And you just have to support that, support your local hemp farmer. Or, you know, just like your bee man, let let, you know, beekeeping is not for the faint of heart. Let Nick Phil and Honey Grova Perries do the beekeeping, but you can reap the rewards from that. And that's where the the element or the piece of sharing your gifts comes in because you can't be everything to everybody. So it's it's it's trusting your intuition and knowing what's good and what's right and what's sourcing, it's high vibrational healing, and letting people share their gifts with you because that's what we're all put on here to do. Each of us has their own specific purpose, their divine purpose. And I was reminded in a book that I'm reading that it's really just not about me, right? It's not about it's it's okay. It's it's not about me. It's not about us, it's not about you, it's not about anything that's true. It's about how we can sp best spend our time here in this earthly realm before we go on to our eternal life, because that's what his salvation, his love, and his glory is offering us is eternity of love and forgiveness and grace and mercy. And I am so humbled by living in that space and acknowledging it and discovering it and exploring that on my own spiritual journey. And it's been so fascinating. And I'm just uh Sharon is Karen, and I'd love to share with you. So thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Also, you know, we're talking about reverence and acknowledging his majesty, the deep gratitude and his boundless creation, your humble heart, knowing that his power is greater than anything you or I could ever offer him. And so that takes a lot of stress and load off. Like, you don't have to worry about it. He's got it. Like, don't just give it to God. And he, and when I say that, I'm not just saying that as like, woo-hoo, whatever. Like, I mean it. And once you start like di like trusting the process and leaning into that, it's so liberating and freeing that we can't mess this up no matter what you say or what you do or your past decisions or how you've been, it you can't mess it up. You you are forgiven over and over and over and over again. And then hopefully, eventually, you learn some valuable lessons and you can keep growing, grow through what you go through. And he truly means that. And he meets you where you're at every single time. So I feel like don't feel overwhelmed. Rome was in built in a day, step by step, day by day. Just take a deep breath. Don't forget to breathe because his Holy Spirit is right in you every time you breathe. Yeah, yeah, way. Yahweh, which is another word for Jesus. His Holy Spirit is inside of you, guiding you step by step, every single breath you take. So I feel like sometimes I can feel overwhelmed, but like, oh my gosh, I got so much to learn. I got so much to do. Ay, yeah, yeah, yeah. And then it's just flipping yours perspective. It's like, wait a minute, cut that out, shut that down. It's not about that. We just gotta, we just gotta get through this here, right, here, right now, and know that you are gonna mess it up and you are gonna make mistakes. And we're only human, right? I mean, Earth itself is just a tiny little blue dot in the universe. So I just feel like that just kind of takes a lot of pressure off you to know that you know, you can't mess that up. You can. And if you need any knowledge or you need any help, all you have to do is ask. And it's written in the Bible that he gives it to you generously over and over and over again, and in different ways until you do learn. So, what how how amazing is that? How awesome is our God. And that's why I feel like I gotta share the good news because this is all really good news, right? Like, I didn't know this a little bit ago, and I wish I did. And that's why I feel so strongly as a mother to bestow all of this wisdom as much as I can to my children because they're gonna be so far ahead of me where I was at. And that's like generational healing, right? That's like generational like progression there. Like, who knows what our kids are gonna do? But I cannot wait to sit back and enjoy every moment of every mountain they will move because it's so powerful as their intuition and their mind is fully open. They're like tripping all the time, right? Like they they're not hardwired and ingrained and stuck in their ways, like they're so moldable and impressionable. And so, even for them to witness me giving so much effort and intention into my spiritual path, for them to even see that, and then who knows what that impression is gonna leave on their sweet little hearts, their tender, soft hearts, their open minds, they're they're they're just prime and ripe for the the picking. And he picks them over and over again as they are. They we are all his creation. We are all his children, we all have a seat at the throne. Okay. I can go on again day and day, and I think that's honestly why I'm here. Who knows what you're hearing out there right now, what I'm saying? Because honestly, it doesn't matter what I say, that let my words be his words, and may you hear them with his ears. And, you know, I feel like that's why even letting it be known that this is my intention, that this is how I choose to show up in the world and want to best be of service is by sharing the good news. I feel like that is a wonderful intention and gives even more reverence and glory to his goodness and just adds to that awe and wonder that I was talking about. How amazing is that? So we are just uplifting our spirits and opening our hearts. Yes, yes, and yes. And I feel like this beautiful plant right here has all that power and capability just unlocked in this plant. And I feel like if anything, you can be in awe and wonder of what she has to offer. And like I said, do your own research. I just wanted to give a shout out to this book right here. It is a woman's guide to cannabis by Nikki Furrer. Oh my gosh, I just love the way she writes. It's like super engaging, and you're like, oh yeah, it's just tips and tricks and different ways to, you know, utilize hemp as a tool and make your own extractions, make your own edibles, make your own bakery. And you know what? You're gonna get really excited about everything you learned in here, and you're gonna wanna imagine the ripple effect that's gonna happen. You're gonna wanna share your bounty, your bent bounties that you made with your neighbor or your husband or your best friend, and then that best friend is gonna tell that person how great that made them feel, and then that best friend's gonna tell that person. You see what's all happening here, it's all connected. Divine intervention. So please, my shameless plug to DNAhemplc.com. You could check out our natural pharmacy where we have done all the work for you. We have done, and trust me, it is work. I I'm not just sitting back here all the time, you know, being able to talk about I'm gonna be about it. So I feel like if I could just figure out a way how to communicate what goes into growing this plant. I mean, yes, it is a weed, and I did just say that we didn't, and we just had to plant the seed and watch it grow. But I mean, this bud is just where the work begins right now. Now I have to now I get to, I get to, not have to dry this plant, cure it under optimum conditions, clean with a clean workspace and a cool dark place for about a week, and then I get to take off the flowers from the stalk. It's called shucking and bucking, and then you know, sort it. So I'm gonna take out only the best buds for my smokable flower, maybe use some trim and the other, you know, the other smaller buds for my pre-rolls, and then the rest to go into a tincture to be used in the gummies, to be infused, and then not to mention all of the packaging that goes into there. So I gotta put it in a container, and then I gotta create a label, and and I get to create a label, I get to seal it and make sure it is good for your consumption, and then I can sell it to the masses where I feel like sometimes I'm speaking a foreign language of like, no, really, like it's good. It really is good. Check it out, do your own research, you're gonna love it.
unknown:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:All for the passion of the plant and his divine purpose, not my plan. And I get to do these things, but honestly, I'm so so stoked to be here. I you just can't make this up. I just feel like it is all in his divine glory, awe, and wonder that we're even here today. And it's such a beautiful thing. And I love nothing more than to utilize hemp and share with her other natural remedies. I don't feel like hemp likes to be isolated, you know, just kind of like the entourage effect inside of the plant where all the cannabinoids work together to create your your best, the highest quality of healing out of the plant. She also likes to be in with other plant medicines. So that's where our herbal blends come in, where we pair her with mullion and mugwart and lemon balm and where they can create their own synergy all themselves, her being the driver or the synergist of the blend. So as you kind of delve deep into the herbalism, you can really open your eyes of like the specific action that you want to obtain and to heal yourself, how hemp plays a part in that, and other herbs that you can bring in to help with the flavor and help with the other actions that you want to achieve. So it's kind of all of a science, but you can't overthink it and don't sweat the small stuff. You can't get it wrong. You'll never get it wrong, you'll never get it right. You just gotta be in the arena and keep showing up, right? Right. That's I I have no time for naysayers or people that want to criticize or you know, spread spread any discord about, you know, what other other people or what they're doing is because it's like, well, a lot of times they're on the sidelines, they're not even in the arena, they're not even, you know, trying. So it's like it's so easy to like sit on your couch and be like, ho, ho, ho, that person, ah da. Like, yeah, come on. Like, you give it a try. You put your money where your mouth is and you get you get it, you get it popping, and then I see you how much you you're gonna be talking snack, okay? Because you don't really have a way. But again, who am I to judge to each their own? I know you gotta start somewhere. And sometimes, you know, even planting those seeds of like those thoughts of like, you know, having that reaction with other people could like who knows what it could sprout, you know, even the most beautiful flowers sprout from like the sidewalk cracks, right? So I feel like, you know, just keep planting seeds and watching them grow. It's a beautiful, beautiful thing. I know I love watching it. So thank you for showing up in this space and being supportive and encouraging because it really just means the world to everybody and anybody. I mean, perspective is your reality. So positivity goes a really long way, especially when you're being positive about your spirituality, being positive to your neighbor, being positive to yourself, watching how you speak to yourself. It all helps the energy flow as your intention flows where your energy goes. So just a little bit of something there. So I feel like I'm feeling all these feels and really have all these thoughts is because I really make sure I meditate every morning. I read my Bible and my Sarah Young daily affirmations. And then I just restarted reading the purpose-driven life that's out there, and it's a 40-day adventure of different mantras and mindsets, and which the first day was, you know, it's not about me. It's not about, it's not about you, it's not about us, it's about, it's about him. And if you live your life for God, it's gonna be a really exceptionally awesome life. Trust the process. I so have so much faith in that. I just really, really do. You know, your life won't be in vain. But I think it's really to have to do with the supermoon. Y'all, y'all, y'all, the supermoon happened just on Monday. What date was that? So it was six days ago. Was that on the on the third it was, the supermoon? And the super moon doesn't happen too often. I mean, obviously it's a super moon. Like you have your full moon, and then you have your supermoon. And the super moon is when the moon is closest to the earth. So making it super awesome and a super good time to set your intentions and let go of what no longer serves you, and then speak into existence what you want to draw in, as because your tongue is like your magic wand, and what you speak out there is, you know, your is what you're gonna get in return. It's that idea of like reciprocity out there. And it was the hunter's moon following the harvest moon in September. So most people do a lot of their harvesting in September if you were able to plant, you know, right around Mother's Day, but or if you're like me and you're still harvesting now, which PS harvest your seeds. Speaking of harvesting, seed harvesting. So everything that you kind of let go that That you didn't get to, that you don't have time to harvest, that already went to seed, make sure they're good and dry, and collect those seeds. If I learned anything from this hemp adventure, I know that the power is in the bean, in the seed. I know how much we've paid for hemp seeds in the past and even now is kind of astronomical, especially if you're talking about acres and acres, but collect those seeds. Those seeds are golden. So anything from flower seeds to herb seeds, even wild-crafted, you know, native plant seeds. And then you can kind of cultivate it and grow a relationship with it, just like how you would cultivate and grow a relationship with God. It's got to start somewhere. So I feel like those seeds are a great place to start because imagine the relationship that you would have with that plant if you started it from that fertile soil, from that fertile ground, and nurtured it all the way up to the whole mature plant where you could then harvest that and use and then let it go even further to take it to seed. And then now you have generation heirloom seeds that you can pass on and share with your friends because seeds are so abundant. Oh my gosh, like even one sunflower head could plant an entire field of sunflowers, right? Like if you think of how many sunflower seeds are in one head, imagine how much in your spacing, how what what footage, what air square footage you could plant. It's amazing. I mean, it really scratches your head like wow, like he really did provide, he really does provide over and over again. So save your seeds. It's time to harvest those seeds. Don't forget, don't let it pass you because they it'll this season will come and go and you'll be like, what happened? Like, I don't even know. I got those seeds. And then you're stuck buying them from a source that might not be so high vibrational as where what getting your own. So get out there and harvest those seeds. This is your reminder. Don't let those seeds just pass. You know, it's worth putting in a bag. What I do or what Sunshine has taught me, because she's a beautiful, beautiful soul and being, and I love her so much. You would just cut off, you know, cut off the flower head and put it in a paper bag, label it and then stow it away. And so you can work with it, you know, you can then kind of go through it and work with it in winter if you have time, or in spring when you're ready. It's not gonna go bad. But storing them in a brown paper bag is an excellent way to do it because it's a cool dark place and it's a great, you know, keeps uh the moisture at check. It should be dry, anyways, but you just throw it in a paper bag and forget about it. Throw it away and be done with it. Okay? Okay. That's what you should do. Harvest moon. But now we're on to hunter's moon here in October, and it's full hunter season here in Wisconsin, especially. I know bow hunters are out there stocking up meat, putting it in their freezer. It's kind of wild. My husband Danny is going elk hunting with our neighbor friend John for the first time ever, and they're traveling out west to go get that elk meat because elk meat is lean and it's super delicious. And one elk can feed a family for a quite a length of time. And so having that awe and reverence of animals and that intention to stock your freezer and feed your family is it a wonderful way to live, especially, you know, if it's if it's serving for the highest and best. You know, this isn't trophy hunting. This is like to feed to feed your family and like know your source and your origin. So a lot of people deer hunt around here, and I just absolutely love it. I love venison. I love the summer sausage, I love hot sticks, I love venison steaks. You can use venison ground ground up and you know, substitute it for beef. It's just super versatile and very lean and very nutritious and delicious, especially if you're harvesting some venison or deer from you know, from your own backyard where you know exactly what it's eating and its food sources, which is amazing. So that harvest moon is all about, you know. So that's like what like literally it means in like before calendars and before before they before time, they would, you know, use the moon cycles to tell, like, okay, now it is time for to to for the hunter season. Um, but there's so much more energetically that comes associated with it. They say, you know, the hunter's moon is a time for strength, focus, abundance, courage, completion, and preparation for future. So that is powerful stuff right there, all in and of itself. You know, but the the the harnessing of that lunar energy. I'm just really into the moon lately because I really do feel like it's all connected. And, you know, to think that we are just dust in the wind and just like one small little like grain of speck when it comes to the universe, and like this is all worked out for us. So just like by the old farmer's almanac is how you know things were is already like predestined and planned. So I feel like when you start getting in tune with the moon and what's happening in your own personal life, it all really just starts to make sense. Just like what's coming up is the tomorrow for 1010 is the portal, the 1010 portal. And a 10, 10, and 10 is something for completion and renewal. So having a 1010 portal gives you access to let go again, like fully complete anything that needs to be tidied up or finished up and renew your mind, renew your intentions. It's a it's a wonderful lunar reset for you to figure out what it is you really want and your goals that you're working towards, and and and what and letting go of what doesn't serve you and bringing in what will. So I feel like 1010 is an excellent way to harness the lunar energies. Again, set out your moon water, put out your crystals so they can be cleansed and cleared, so you can use them as tools and your mindful meditations, and you can have new beginnings, manifest your destiny. Time for spiritual growth and making wishes. Dream big, dream big, make those big wishes because why not? I mean, with with you being a child of God and a chosen one, I'm telling you, anything is possible. And you know what? His plan is way greater than anything that you can imagine. So dream big. And the the fruits from that dream is gonna fall upon you tenfold. And so it's just really about identifying and removing any obstacles, you know, get out of your own way and let the magic, the lunar magic, do its work. And so it's kind of crazy because I know I've been kind of preparing coming off of the full hunter's moon and now entering into the 1010 portal. I have been seeing 555 everywhere. And five, five, five is a time for change, and it's a quantum leap into a big, big changes are happening and embracing that change. So I feel like a lot of times surrender. I surrender. I surrender to his will, I surrender to his plan. He has a purpose, I have a purpose, and he has a plan, and I surrender to it, living day by day in awe and wonder in reverence of his good work. So set your intentions and do and and and speak it into existence because this stuff really, really does work. And when you start aligning that lunar energy with what's going on in your life and then connect it with the earth and how we use the moon cycles and the sun to, you know, live on a day-to-day basis, it's really quite fascinating. And again, living in reverence of how intricate all the systems that he has put into place. And you just can't make this stuff up scientifically, it doesn't even make sense, but here we are. I wanted to also really share with you guys about something really special and awesome that we did this week. So back in the day, Rosemary Gladstar, which is a world-renowned herbalist, I feel like she is a goddess in her own right. She just the way she communicates with plants and the energetics and then offers them to her communities and beyond, is just something that I'm in reverence and awe and wonder of this wonderful lady who has it in her heart to share her gifts in such a beautiful way that everyone can relate to it. Anyways, it's Rosemary Gladstar. She in the 1970s decided it'd be a wonderful idea to make something called Firesider. Oh yeah. Who's heard of this stuff? Anybody out there have heard of Firesider, ever made firesider? I'd love to hear any comments, feedbacks, recipes. If you could send them to us, I would greatly appreciate it and I will share it. And I'd appreciate you sharing. Sharing is again caring, but this firesider is really a wellness support in a jar. So I feel like we make it around this time where we can harvest all of these different roots and herbs that go into here. We can harvest these things from our gardens or source them locally and put it in a jar and use um apple cider vinegar as a menstrum to extract the constituents and then we drink it. And this is going to be an immune tonic, immunity, a whole body tonic, as it is great for a whole lot of things. So I kind of wanted to dwell into the firesider, but first I was gonna kind of preference it a little bit on what happened here on the on the farmhouse. I got our family together. I had my wonderful Aunt Amy, who is like the matriarch. She has a ton of uh gardening experience and just a huge like presence in my life. She came to help chop. And my sister-in-law Sarah Schaefer, who is here from Denver, Colorado, also came to lend some energy and lend a hand and chop up all the herbs and vegetables. And my super sweet dragonfly princess sister-in-law, Miss Ray Pretty Rachi, she also came to help. And it's a really wonderful to get the girls together, to get the gang all together and chop, chop, chop, because it's a lot of work, you know, but not with that cuisine art, the food processor. Oh my gosh, that took a lot of the chopping out of it for us this year. But even like gathering all the supplies, pulling in our resources, pulling in the intention, and putting it in a jar is just such a beautiful thing. And I feel like that in and of itself was healing as a time for us girls to get together and kind of chat and communicate and share and express and create. It was just really, really wonderful. So if anything, it's a great excuse to get the girls together. But get them together, gather all the things, and put it in this jar. Uh, you might wonder what I all have in this apple, in this apple cider vinegar jar here. Oh my gosh. This fire cider is with vinegar and honey, so it's kind of like an auctionel, and it uses the acidity of apple cider vinegar to extract beneficial compounds from herbs, spices, and roots. So super amazing immune system and antimicrobial support. And it there is a lot of garlic in here, which has the active compound alicin, a potent sulfur compound, which is highly regarded for its antimicrobial, antibacterial, and antiviral properties. Garlic. Here, yeah, grown on the farm. Ginger for the gingerols, the active compound, and possesses strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that support overall immune function. So the ginger in here is super powerful. And then, you know, even the ACV or the raw apple cider vinegar in and of itself has that acidic acid that is antibacterial and antifungal and help combat certain microbes. And the honey that is used in here to not only be a flavor sweetener, um, has many antioxidants and enzymes, known to be a naturally antimicrobial for its traditional use to soothe sore throats. So, how wonderful for that immune bolsterer and have that antimicrobial support to ward off any viruses or diseases or flus or infections that could come your way that comes with the cold weather as things are just kind of dying off. I love to use it for respiratory and sinus relief. So it just kind of gets your circulation flowing, as a lot of these, the ginger and the turmeric in here are like stimulants. And so it gets things flowing and just gets things out, clears you up. The fire in the tonic is intentional and provides immediate clearing effects. So I don't know if any of you guys have ever taken apple cider vinegar before, a shot of it, but whoo! That gets y'all, you can feel it. You can feel it in your tummy, and you can feel that fire coming out. And it kind of just gets things moving, which is the whole point. Just like our energy wheels of our chakras. You just want to keep her moving. So the horseradish that's in here, that's like what's on the bottom, and like most of is that is that horseradish root where you like just chop it up and put it right in there. It's got the glucosinolates, which create a pungent volatile oil and acts as a powerful natural decongestant, helping to open up sinuses and promote mucus drainage, which is super helpful, especially in the time where we just feel clogged with allergies and all the pollen in the air. And then we got peppers in there too. I got cayenne powder, I got jalapenos, I got even habaneros. It has that Caspian for and the active compound in there, which also increases the circulation and acts as a warming stimulant. And the heat helps thin mucus and provides instant relief from congestion. So, oh my goodness, that is amazing stuff. Not okay, not stop there, you know, your immune system, your restroom science related. We got digestive and the the metabolic health. So it's it's it's really the firesiders often used, you know, before taken before meals to fire up digestion. It can help you actually like break down your food like that much faster, which is crazy and crazy cool and awesome. And I absolutely love it. So, yeah, that the ACV stimulates gastric juices, improves digestion and nutrient absorption. And some studies on ACV suggest it can help support balanced blood and sugar levels. And then the ginger, again, in there is settles upset stomachs and alleviates nausea and aid in general digestion. So now we can even talk about the anti-inflammatory effects of the fire cider. With turmeric, it has the active compound curcumin, which is a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compound that can support joint health and overall systematic wellness. What turmeric! It is a super splendid, awesome root, and I love ginger and turmeric tea. I use it all year round as I feel like I just I need I have cold extremities and I need to keep my circulation flowing, probably from the years of smoking. That did me no good, but my body can heal. And then the ginger again and the ginger alls work synergistically with the turmeric to combat inflammation throughout the body. Super amazing. So, and make super bioavailable. There's not a ton of like science that goes behind this, but it's just like an ancient folk remedy for the tonic to for wellness, and just you know, for added goodness and support, I have some other wonderful things that I sourced from the farm. I have herbs in here, like rosemary, and I put lemon balm, and I even think I put some mint in here. I made a tea for the girls too with that mint, which is super amazing and soothing. I also put uh oregano in here, which is a powerful cleanser as well. So it's got all that fresh herbs to kind of add to the awesome taste of this. And then we put some citrus in there too. So I have lemons and blood oranges, which I thought would speak really good to the moon, eat a blood orange moon. I don't know. Then I have black pepper and clove in here as well, that are supposed to be amazing, anti, anti, anti-everything too. So pretty much everything that you can find in your in your medicine cabinets or in your cupboards that you're cooking with, you want to throw in here. And then apple cider vinegar is gonna extract all that goodness. And how do you use it? So once we made this, we put this in this jar. I have a plastic cover because, or you want to put wax paper if you're using a metal ring because the acid will actually eat away at the metal, but you want to put it, keep it in this jar, and we're gonna shake, shake, shake it, you know, once daily, or you know, whenever you think about it, don't think about it too much. But you're gonna shake it really good uh for about four to six weeks, and then you have yourself an amazing, amazing immune support for the colds, flues season. Um, and some people will just use it when they feel a cold coming on, but I say use it every single day. You could take a tablespoon one or two times daily. If you got it, you better use it. And so utilize the nature's gifts, and this is a great way to kind of extract all that, and then you can always add honey to it too, because I understand that is a rather strong taste, but you can use honey to taste, and you can even dilute it with water too, so you know it's not like super, super intense, at least when you're first getting started to kind of make so you can ex see what to expect and before you get into a routine or habit of doing things. You can kind of use all the things. Some people even make like salad dressings with it, marinades with it. They get crazy at the cheese whiz and how to get this medicine into their body. You know, there's no right or wrong way, just do it. Try around, mess around and find out. You might surprise yourself of how great you feel. Ha ha. So I just love the firesider. And again, if it's not just to get the girls together and have a fun make and take activity, you know, it's really good for your health. And I feel like it's coming from the highest and best intention to take care of you, take care of your family, take care of your community. It's just a super awesome and amazing, beautiful thing. All right. So I know I've been talking super fast. I feel like I'm always on a time crunch. One day, you know, I'm still working on being present and getting accomplishing my goals and getting everything that I want to done, and still also while sharing it and providing for my community and showing up for my family consistently over time. So I gotta go. Navea Lily Schaefer has a cross-country track meet down in Menominee Falls, and I gotta go run her there and cheer her. She is fast, she is strong, she is speedy, and this uh just helps her in her soccer, which she has practice coming up to. So it's kind of crazy. But uh, you can catch me at the West Bend Farmers Market this Saturday, in which it has been voted for the fourth consecutive year in the row, the number one farmers market in Wisconsin, and made it in the top 10 farmers markets in the nation. Talk about people coming together, showing up, and sharing their gifts. And we couldn't do it without our community that shows up for us. The crowd there is amazing. They have music, they have food, they have fun. So skip the grocery store this this season uh for the produce aisle and get it from your local farmer as they are out there putting their blood, sweat, and blisters to provide organic natural goodness for you and your family. It's such a beautiful thing and beautiful thing. Embrace it. And I also get to go to Cheryl's Club 175 and restock on the DNA hemp there and be more in communication with the lovely community that I've built there with my mother for the past 26 years and stopping over at GoodVibes CBD and Wellness to visit Sweet Katie in Hubertus to do a restock. She said she's been selling DNA hemp like crazy. The word is out, and she needs more goods so she can keep providing all these wellness materials to her people, to her buds. So thank you so much for sharing. Sharing is caring. Please, if you get a chance, drop us a line, review us, share us with your friends, subscribe to the high vibe tribe, and we'll send you some really groovy stuff via the intraweb. And we couldn't be more excited to connect with you and be here now today together. It's a beautiful, beautiful thing. And I am forever grateful. So without further ado, Roby Dobe, say it with me, my love. I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. Don't forget to breathe, friends. You are so, so loved. You are divine in just how he made you. Step into the light. It feels really good to be here together. Party out. Life's a body, might not have some body. No, it's getting out of here. Live!
